it is painless, soft and looks just like normal tongue tissue but bumpy..when i contract my tongue i can see it easier. On the same margin i have also teeth marks since..forever..i am a little bit worried and i didn t find anything like that on web..

It has a horseshoe type piece of metal that covers a portion of the roof of my mouth and clasps around the back teeth. It also has a bit of the acrylic that stretches behind the teeth in the front. I would think it safe to say that you are probably having a dysfunction in the cranial nerve that controls the tongue. Hi, I have just had 2 wisdom teeth removed 4 days ago. One of them had been infected requiring 2 courses of antibiotics and I'm on my third course now after the extraction. I think that during stressful times when I am sleeping, I am injuring my tongue by pressing it against my teeth. Especially in the initial stages of an episode of geographic tongue, I can match the damaged areas to my teeth on the sides and where the tip and middle of the tongue may have been raked against my front teeth. Pressure against the front teeth may also explain the fissures that develop on my tongue.

i have 2 teeth missing on th bottom right side of my mouth and my tongue sags in there. can this change the way your tongue looks. if i stick my tongue out to a point the side that sags into the teeth area seems to curve to that side and is king of thinner on that side. if i curve the tip of my tongue uppwards while sticking it out it seems to even it out.
