I read about the pineapples. It's the Bomlain enzyme in the pineapples that supposed to do it. I should be eating sweet potatoes then because my progesterone was low last time they checked it and put me on those nasty vaginal capsuls. Yuck! I'd much rather choke down a sweet potatoe. lol. Sweet potatoes dont have the same effect as yams. So i was told to look for them at a whole foods store then your more likely to get a true yam. Alot of stuff in google on yams anf fertility also :) I heard pineapple core is good for implantation, real grapefruit juice is also good for fertility. Too many to list....lol, can u tell i am trying hard?? !!

Avatar f tn I'd skip the dressing. Only eat deep fried foods on special occasions when making a lifestyle change. Better baked yams. Raw vegetables. Try to get used to a little lemon juice or balsamic dressing and eat 2 salads pr day. Spinach is better than lettuce. Good luck.

You can by an heirloom, a hot house, a cherry, a grape tomato but they are all tomatoes. I've grown yams, lived on a farm most of my life and eatin' yams most of my life. The ones that are orange inside are called yams here in the Northwest. I have read the same thing about yams, but didn't read the benefit is exclusive to African yams.
Avatar m tn I haven't been officially diagnosed, but I probably have IBS. I'm a 49 year old male. I have no stress & I haven't been able to attribute symptoms to any particular foods. I eat basically the same things but don't have problems all the time. My biggest issue in the last few years is that I will get a sudden "attack" of gas (it feels like a balloon in my gut) sometimes with diarrhea. It can happen at any time out of the blue.

Were you eating any particular foods? And if this is a second pregnancy, was your diet any different with the first?

Avatar n tn I heard that yams are good for your ovaries. Something about how they make you ovulate more. This is the tribe in africa and the women eat yams every day. They have the higest concentration of twins in this village out of anywhere else in the world. The dr's contribute the twin factor to the yams. Good luck!
