Avatar f tn ve had blood tests over the years for over 80 foods and have delayed allergies (aka intolerances) to dozens of foods. I try to avoid those foods - or, if impossible to avoid, rotate so that I eat them no more often than every 5 days. But avoiding so many foods means I am eating other foods more frequently and so am likely to have become allergic to those foods.

After reading all the foods that are proflammatory that I always thought were good for you, I wished I knew about it so many years ago. You know the saying: "You are what you eat?" I supplement with protien in the form of eggs, peanut butter, and legumes but that does not seem to help. Any suggestions, I would really like to stop killing animals for my own purpose, but i would also like to be able to get through a day without loads of caffiene and B supplements in the form of energy drinks too.

Avoid all junk foods, fast foods and processed foods and consume fresh fruits and veggies. Observe your health changes on diet change, if didn’t find any changes please concern a doctor for insight of your health.
Avatar f tn The advice given by your doctor seems quite strange. I wouldn't recommend eating simply 500 calories per day for a week and THEN eating 1500 thereafter. It is all about balance. No one (unless you've always done it) can go through life eating simply vegetables and fruit. It's good to have a balanced diet. Eat what you want to eat but watching the portion at the same time.
Avatar f tn ve decided to try to handle my acid reflux by eating more easy to digest foods, staying off fried foods and adding lots more green vegetables and celery to my diet to alkalize my body (as well as taking Aciphex). I usually have yogurt and a green drink in the morning. I added whey protein to the mix today and now my heartburn is back. Whey is supposed to be super easy to digest. Has anyone else had problems with whey protein?

For example, over the weekend, a friend told me brussel sprouts were bad during pregnancy. What??? I hadn't heard that! I'm sure there are more out there. Here are the ones I know of.
