1085628 tn?1326551885 I eat a lot of organic stuff, about 60% of what we eat is organic. We live in a small town and organic stuff is hard to come by, or we'd definitely do more. I hope to grow some stuff in a garden this year as well... that would be fun!! ...We tried last year but we ended up putting our daughters playground set over our garden! ha ha! Organic is great, it's the way I like my food. Pesticide and hormone free!!

Avatar m tn In our previous list of foods you should buy organic we focused on foods that show excessive residue of pesticides in edible parts. To keep things balanced, here is the list of foods you don’t have to buy organic, because they either do not require pesticide treatment – thanks to their natural pest resistance – or because these foods have protective layer (a peel) which prevents absorption of pesticides by the edible parts.
Avatar m tn NaturalNews) The Organic Consumers Association has long fought against what it calls "organic cheater brands" -- personal care products that use the name "organic" in the product name or brand, yet are not truly organic products at all. This year at the Expo West Natural Products Expo in Anaheim, California, the OCA staged a very visible public protest to expose what it calls "sham poo products" that are "organic cheaters." http://www.youtube.com/watch?
Avatar f tn Today our foods are GMO's, processed, organic/natural etc. The concern is overwhelming especially because one has to eat! But are we eating ourselves to the grave or to health? Avatar f tn I bought some organic free range chicken tenders, seasoned it then baked it and used that throughout the week. My salad consisted of organic Romaine lettuce, organic baby spinach, organic kale and organic cilantro. And I was just using a dressing that's low in sugar. I also started juicing. This morning I drank carrot with apple, pineapple, orange, and added turmeric. I don't juice everyday but I have done it several times.
Avatar n tn Avoid deep fried, fatty, and processed foods Aim to limit dairy foods including milk, processed cheese, cream and butter. Opt for organic yogurt and cheese such as ricotta, parmesan or cottage. Try some different brands and varieties of soy as they vary greatly. The fresh soy products in the dairy cabinet are much lighter and not as strong in taste as the long life products. There are also rice milks and oat milks to try. Avoid ALL margarines and similar type spreads.
Avatar f tn I try to avoid it for my kids. Try organic bread (Udi's is a great allergy free bread) or organic, all natural foods. What kinds of foods would you like to eat? My kids are allergic to just about everything so I bet I can help you find something.

Avatar f tn ve had blood tests over the years for over 80 foods and have delayed allergies (aka intolerances) to dozens of foods. I try to avoid those foods - or, if impossible to avoid, rotate so that I eat them no more often than every 5 days. But avoiding so many foods means I am eating other foods more frequently and so am likely to have become allergic to those foods.
Avatar f tn Haha since about 13 or 14 weeks i went on a health kick. And went local farm fresh and organic foods. Which has helped with my health and weight. Since im a little chubby. But baby is super healthy.
Avatar f tn But I am very concerned and seeking some insight. Lately, I have been eating super healthy and all organic. I have been staying away from sugar, and I have been losing weight. However, tonight I ate cereal for dinner (so unhealthy, I know). After, I ate it I felt really weird and I ended up falling asleep. 2 hours later I woke up, and I couldn't see a thing! I felt like I was blind. I have never experienced such a thing. It really started to scare me and I started to cry.

3242988 tn?1359306516 I try to avoid processed foods, that have many additives, and I try to buy organic dairy products, fruits and veggies. Theless harmful chemicals, the better! Coffee and green tea are known to be protective to the liver.
163305 tn?1333668571 Well, you can't argue with Willie!! I'm in support of family farms---- I'm from a big farming state and am bordered by them as well (yep, midwest). I do think one thing is inaccurate in this information---- the calories of organic foods are typically same for their non organic counterparts. (I've checked.) More of a general lifestyle issue (or hereditary) for child obesity than it is organic verses nonorganic.
Avatar f tn Part of the problem may be you are bathing too often and stripping the natural pils. What breed dog is this? Do you have a flea problem? Have you asked your Vet about a once a month topical treatment or the new oral Comfortis? What food ate you feeding? I would try transitioning to a food with no grain, esp corn. You might try a small bag of the Pro Plan salmon or there are other foods available with fish in them. You can try adding some Omega 3' or fish oil or Flaxseed oil once a day.
