Avatar f tn I am overwieght, I would like to lead a vegitarian lifestyle, but everytime I cut meats out I gain wieght and become tired and super emotional. I supplement with protien in the form of eggs, peanut butter, and legumes but that does not seem to help. Any suggestions, I would really like to stop killing animals for my own purpose, but i would also like to be able to get through a day without loads of caffiene and B supplements in the form of energy drinks too.
Avatar f tn I'm a female in my 20s. I really want to improve my health. I'm not unhealthy but I want to start eating right so that I can remain healthy as I get older. I weigh around 116. What should I be eating to make sure my heart rate, blood pressure, and cholesterol are in excellent conditions? I would also like to avoid foods that lead to diabetes. I'm not familiar at all with eating properly, or a healthy diet.

1100297 tn?1293079117 I have read almost every article I can get my hands on pertaining to this topic. I absolutly love it and am excited to try it. Its a lifestyle, not a diet. You cant just eat that way, loose weight, then go back to eating the way you were... you have to make it a lifestyle. Iv read about "dead foods". These are foods like bread, grains, dairy, meat, and pastas... anything man-made. Natural foods are those that we can grow in the ground.
5051252 tn?1362970368 i was talking to a friend regarding her diabetes type two, and she said she found out she had this by using a glucose monitor a few times a day for a week, reported her readings to her doctor and they did tests and diagnosed her. she said that her glucose levels were super high, so i decided to buy one just to try and see. i check myself three times a day - and the readings are normally around 80-90 every time, and sometimes that is about 30-60 minutes after eating. should i be concerned?

Avatar n tn There are many things that need to be considered before labeling a dog "hyper". What breed of dog or mix of breeds is s/he? How old is s/he? What are your living arrangenents, in other words, do you live in a house with a fenced yard or in an apartment? How often do you walk her or him? How long are the walks? Do you have regular, scheduled playtimes? Do you do anything with him or her like obedience training or agility or flyball?
Avatar f tn My husband enjoys the lifestyle (swingers) same room we have been together 12 years. I do not want that in my life any more. He says if it is consintual then itt does not effect our being Christian. What do y'all think.
Avatar f tn just remember to follow up with your dr to see if you can correct this .you will be ok .make sure you eat healthy foods and stay away from sugar.but definitly check with your dr and see what he/she recommends.
886699 tn?1270779744 This is a natural sensitivity to smelling someone’s acidity/alkaline levels. I smell this too on random people or my loved ones, or even myself (rarely because I know what to do now). It’s literally a super power level of being in touch with sense. My girlfriend knows when I smell it on her & she’ll quickly go eat some greens & alkaline foods... typically in 2-3 hours (depending on how your body processes food) it’ll be gone. It’s a sign to go get alkaline...
7758733 tn?1402589420 I get greek yoghurt and add any fruit I want. Its full of protein so fills you up and its super healthy for you.
Avatar f tn There are easy things to cut out like soda, processed foods, etc. Low fat protein, vegetables and whole grains are healthy choices. While I guess your concern is your numbers are inching up, they are not any super red flags here that you will definitely develop type 2 diabetes so just be aware to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Avatar n tn Spicy, greasy, acidic foods, carbonated bevs as well as caffeine and alcohol. Keep a journal of what foods are your triggers.... Are you on thyroid meds too? Lifestyle changes would be things like exercise, stop smoking if you smoke, elevate the head of your bed, don't wear tight fitting clothes, do not lay down for 3 to 4 hrs after eating.....
Avatar f tn It took a complete lifestyle change to do it.. and by that .. I mean daily exercise and eating heatlhy foods.. if you make the changes you will most likely have a long and healthy life..
