941782 tn?1245796551 When it comes time for baby food, we will puree it in the food processor and wala! We have plans for carrots, peas, green beans, beets, squash, apples, and berries, etc...We are exited to save money and reduce our carbon footprint at the same time. If anyone is interested in bouncing ideas back and forth about things we can make/ do ourselves to save money, I am up for it.
973741 tn?1342342773 Not sure how this would work. Beets are a great food, but are they talking about beets with tops, the best way to eat them, or just the root? We all know beets for iron and digestion. The question would be, what is in beets that would slow down your blood flow? I know hawthorn does this. Other plants do this. Have no idea why beets would, so what's the nutrient in beets that does this?
Avatar n tn You get the nutrients and fiber, which is great as many pregnant women can be constipated. Hard things like beets, juice and add to the smoothie. As long as the blender is strong enough, apples, beets, could be placed in as well.
Avatar f tn Before this pregnancy I didn't really care for eating apples. I always felt like they left a weird feeling on my teeth. Now I can't get enough of them! What foods do you LOVE now that you didn't before being pregnant?
Avatar f tn I have these strange food cravings for the last 3 months: immitation crab, brussel sprouts, pomagranate, shrimp avocado, beets and sweet potatoes, NO JUNKFOOD, SO IT'S NOT PMS. Im 47, perimenpausal, recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, lower bowel resection last year, and require biweekly B12 shots just so I can be semi-active 4 of the 7 days of the week. After a few days, my thighs are very painful/weak, then I have to stay in bed for the 2nd shot.

Avatar m tn In the absence of other symptoms, it likely has to do with either certain foods you consumed (bananas, rare or raw meat, spinach, beets, wine, plums, black licorice, etc. or due to the intake of NSAIDs, pepto bismol or other meds and supplements, some of which lead to the die-off certain microbes and some other ones may contain iron, vanadium etc.

Avatar f tn You need to go in. Every time I have puked blood, I call my nurse, and she tells me to go to the ER as soon as possible. Thankfully, mine is only because of a rip in my esophagus, but yours sounds worse than mine, and they're always super worried about mine. I don't want to scare you, but you really do need to go in.

634590 tn?1293774093 If your liver was damaged before treatment, you may feel tired because it isn't functioning properly. It takes the liver time to heal itself. Don't worry. It will heal. You need to be patient. Eat good fresh food. Don't overdo it on sweets or salty foods. Avoid processed foods and oily foods. Beets are great for the liver. Tumeric is good so don't avoid curries! And yes, exercise is great. Walk is an easy form of exercise.
