after passing out both, back to bed and felt my body was totally weak and shaking, feared, worried, dry throat, neck/shoulder pain, and these continued for the whole day along with these, my stomach was upset and feel like gastric problem. something happening in my stomach which i never felt in my lifetime. This is the day i had worst ever in my lifetime i believe. I was so scared on this day. I believed all these symptoms lead to hiv infection.

It probably slipped down your esophagus and got stuck halfway or slowed down in the middle (might explain the pain) until you drank more water. Many antibiotics make your stomach feel like that, zithromax does that to me. I have done this myself a few times and it is uncomfortable. IF it landed in the lungs, you would have known it...
Thanks for the suggestion, but there is no information in the instruction sheet along the lines of having a bit of food or milk to settle the stomach when taking big 1g or 2g doses of Zithromax. I have asked a couple of pharmacists and they have different opinions. I am hoping that Dr. Handsfield or Dr. Hook have an opinion or that a MedHelp member has actual experience and could help me out.
I was prescribed 2 Grams of Zithromax and wondered if I could split it up over 2 days instead of taking the full 8 pills at once. I'm afraid of the upset stomach and diarrhea . Just wondering if I cansplit up the dosage and get the same results?
t have a lot of water an I always took the doxy with food bc it hurt my stomach. The one time zithromax I took on an empty stomach. I even took two doxy for four additional days bc I had some left over from another prescription unrelated. Doxy two a day for 14 days, zithromax one time. 14 days later I'm still having some problems. My penis hole looks very moist and it burns when I pee (not sure if it is psychosomatic). What is the probability that I am cured?
Both stopped but she also felt the urge to pee more the next day, stomach a little sensitive and her urine smelled a little strong. I understand she took a 1gm of Zithromax and the bladder issues stopped but her gut still has some pain.
I got tested the Monday (they also treated on the stop just in case so can’t retest) after hearing about and all my tests came back negative. My questions is thst is it possible for me to pass something on (Gonorrhea?
In the middle of September I was prescribed a z pak for a sinus infection but now I was having some pain in my testicles. I went to another doctor for this and was prescribed 2g of Zithromax, 400mg of cefixime and 2g of flagyl, but no testing. I still have occasional pain in my testicles and a heavy feel in them with an occasional shooting pan in the penis. My doctor thinks it is prostatitis and has set up an appt wit a urologist in December. He has always been convinced it is not an std.

I have had unprotected sex with a girlfriend and after three weeks i experienced a cloudy discharge from my penis and also a tingling sensation which I suspect as a chlamydial infection or NGU. I took 1g of zithromax and also took 5days of doxycycline 100mg. bid. After the medication my symptoms disappeared. After a few days however my testicles ached after i drank a large amount of liqour. I took another zithromax dosage and this time 1g on the first day and 500mg for another two days.
it went away but came back, so possibly the Zithromax is not strong enough to eliminate possible MG. Presumably if it was MG then 1g Zithromax was doing no good & it was now resistant against it. However I then was given a 3rd 1g & it went away for 4years. So is MG ruled out based on this as i didn't take Moxi or 5days of Zithromax prior to the 4years clear spell? Note: Doxy was also taken prior to the 4year clear spell but this isn't good against MG.
The first test was a cervical swab gram stain test, however I had the test done approx 24 hours after being prescribed with 400g of cefditoren pivoxil and 1g Zithromax. The doctor said the test would be only 80% accurate due to the antibiotics i had already taken.
Because of this I decided to get retested 1 week after taking the antibiotics. This time I went for a PCR urine test. This also came back negative.
What I am asking is, do you think the negative result of these tests is accurate?
But I had reddish eyes, especially in the evenings and mornings, spine pain, shooting arthritic pain in my wrists and ankles, recurrent urethritis that should have cleared with antibiotics. I will post on this thread if it is still open after I see the Urologist. Even with three years of medical training it has taken me over a year to start to figure out what may be going on with my symptoms.
Did your doctor know that you were pregnant when prescribing this medication? Zithromax is FDA pregnancy category B. Zithromax is not expected to be harmful to an unborn baby (but it doesn't mean it's 100% safe). If you were that sick and your doctor knew you were pregnant he/she must have felt it was worth the slight risk.
Then after being on prilosec for about a week days I smoked weed once and had horrible abdominal pain, stomach burning and my kidney area even hurt. I took a shower to try an calm me down which it did for about 20 mns then i went to sleep. When i awoke the next day i felt normal again but my abdominal area still felt no normal the prilosec i said to myself because ever since i started taking it i felt not normal .
t, so 3 weeks ago I got a round of Zithromax. Felt worse on the Zithromax and had a 2nd round, this time augmentin, which just ended yesterday. The weakness, shakiness, aches, etc. started when I was on Zithromax as did the left cheek and neck swelling. The doctor said it was my eustachian tubes, but the pain radiates into my shoulder and down my back a little. At first I thought the augmentin helped all this.
