Your persisting symptoms of pain, nausea and vomiting could indicate a viral gastroenteritis. The other causes could be jaundice if there is yellowish discoloration of skin, food poisoning if the symptoms occurred shortly after taking food, peptic ulcer disease and sometimes cholecystitis and pancreatitis. For over a month now I have been suffering from stomach pain, nausea, a bit of gas and bloating, and food tasting really weird/gross. I've been taking prescribed antacids for it and lots of generic tums. A similar thing like this occurred a month ago, however, my stomach only hurt when I touched the very lower portion of it then. Today my stomach hurts when I touch it mostly in the middle and when I don't touch it. The pain feels like the inside of my stomach is just raw.
Over the past 9 months, I’ve been plagued by daily nausea and vomiting. Since January, I’ve had multiple tests and appointments with a GI.
• January: Abnormal Endoscopy—showed stomach polyp and eosinophils (eosinophil account did not meet criteria for Esophagitis diagnosis.
• May: Barium swallow—Normal.
• July: Gastric emptying study—Normal for Gastroparesis; suggestive of possible dumping syndrome (written of by GI).
In this condition there is pain in the stomach, nausea, cramps and often vomiting. Chemical changes precipitated by stress and anxiety can cause abdominal migraines. A specific history and family history help in diagnosis. Self managing stress and healthy eating habit may prevent attacks. This is only a possibility. i had a similar problem with pain after eating. mine didn't involve hiccups, but did include sharp pain and nausea after eating. I had an upper GI done, and it turned out to be ulcerations from GERD.
Now after the gall bladder removal the type of pain and location changed he now has constant extreme burning pain (the best way he can explain it is that he feels like they are burning a whole in that area of his stomach) in the middle of his stomach which is accompanied by nausea and vomiting has had endoscopy and colonoscopy done but doctors can’t figure out what it is.
The headaches are like something that I have never felt before in my life. They are really bad. The nausea and vomiting started as soon as I woke up from the gastric bypass surgery and it has been a problem every single day since. However, before my pseudotumor cerebri was diagnosed, I had a lot of nausea and vomiting but it wasn't like it is now. They have checked for ulcers and stricture and ruled it out. My headaches have not gotten any better since the surgery.
Preg gie pops did not work as well as I expected chewing gum or mints helps just as much if not more and they cost less. Ginger does not help me it actually makes it worse :( . Pickle juice gives me relief (oddly) and salt and vinegar chips. I'm hoping the nasea and vomiting go with the 1st trimester (10w 4d) but if it continues or worsens I plan on asking my doctor about vitamin b6.
yes, actually ginger ale (be sure and get the kind that says REAL ginger on the label) can help settle the tummy. But both gingerale and 7up are good to drink when you're sick.
He put me on mezicline (motion sickness medication) and a pill that helps prevent nausea and vomiting. I went on them for two weeks, and I would only occasionaly feel nautious, but wouldn't vomit. I went off the pills 6 days ago because I had to go in to the hospital medicine free for a week in order to get a hearing test and another test that may determine if I have labynthritis. I have thrown up every night since going off the pills about 2 to 5 hours sometime after dinner.
They usually last for a few weeks to a month and in these episodes I am vomiting from noon till bedtime. I am fine in the morning and then after lunch the nausea begins. I have also had abdomial pain a 30 minutes after eating, it's like a burning knawing kind of pain. Along with dizziness and a hot flash before an episode of vomiting.
I also have a history of food allegeries. I am allergic to, gluten, dairy, cashews, shellfish, and soy.
It only lasts about 8-10 hours but I have to go to the ER each time where they treat it with pain killers and anti-nausea medicine. In 2008, I suffered my worst yet, it took 6 consecutive trips to the ER and they diagnosed me with pancreatitis. Upon visiting my gastro doctor he believed it was a stone from my gall bladder moving into my bile duct that was causing me to get sick once a year and the 2008 incident was the gall stone passing.
My gall bladder was removed.

for the past 3 weeks i have had severe stomach pains which progress to nausea and vomiting. my dad is a doctor and suggested zantac. i used that with brioschi for a couple days and it was not very helpful. he then said to use prilosec. i am on my 8th day and it helped for a few days but has stopped working. the severe stomach pain continues to evolve into vomiting. i am not eating foods that should trigger problems. my dad suspects an ulcer from h pylori, but the treatment has not helped.
My 15-year old son has been suffering from nausea, vomiting, and stomach aches for 3 months. He was tested and it was determined that his stomach is very slow in emptying. He has been homebound schooled because of this. He is on a very low-fat diet and has been put on Prilosec, Reglan, and Erithromyacin. He complained that the Reglan gave him diarrhea and when he heard about the side effects like spasms of the face, lips, and tongue, he refused to take it anymore.
My eleven year old daughter is having morning nausea (no vomiting or stomach pain) and weakness for past one week. Later in the day (everyday) she feels better and eats well. By night she is so normal that she plans for her next day at school. But when she wakes up in the morning she is back to -nausea and weakness. On couple of days (last week) we have been able to drop her at school, late. And she is fine.
Her doctor is puzzled.
