I'm having a bit if a nightmare...could be down to self indulgence and over eating yesterday- although I don't actually think I ate more than usual, but I am suffering with stomach pain. It's like a constant pain around the whole stomach. I think it may be trapped wind and have tried yoga positions, hot water and hot water bottle but no joy! I'm trying to stop myself from overthinking that something could be wrong. Any advice? I'm 21 weeks pregnant.
794091 tn?1264986339 more often than not I have to force myself to yoga, because my muscles craves it. I do find stretching help easing the pain a bit. Most of all, I will have to do whatever slows down/stops muscle atrophy. Have you tried it?

Avatar m tn The pain can be a deep ache or sharp debilitating pain and come on very suddenly. Here is what I have found that helps me. Do some of the yoga poses at the link below. First I do the downward facing dog or any pose that gets your torso upside down. Then I do the knees to chest pose while laying on back and I do that several times. Then, lay on left side for a few minutes. I also take 3 or 4 galviscon tablets or generic equivalent.

And I'm starting to get tightening in my stomach that wraps all the way around from my back to the front of my stomach. How can I relieve this pain. I took Tylenol, I have been drinking lots of water. Idk what else to do.

Overall the pain still occurs,but it occurs at unequal intervals of time,not having proper sleep ...hope yoga might cure this!..but from the alopathic point of view i dont this it's pancreatitis because serum amylase is at normal level...so please post comments.....................

Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2011, one of my worst symptoms was upper back pain, right in between my shoulder blades. Not even massages helped. In my experience, it was due to tension. I realized that my shoulders were often scrunched up. Even though it was hard to do at first because I was so tense, yoga helped immensely. Google 'yoga poses for back pain' and there's a lot of good videos that can help.
Avatar f tn YOGA!! No pills or doctors--YOGA. I was waking up every night at 12:30 for 4 days with upper abdominal pain and I couldn't go back to sleep until the pain subsided after 2-3 hours. It was not acid reflux or GERD since I took a heartburn pill and it did nothing. I shared with this a co-worker who experienced the same problem and figured she was getting gas lodged in the wrong parts of her body so she did gas relieving yoga poses when she was in pain.
Avatar m tn I have this pain for last 4-5 months. Started with just pain in my stomach/ribcage area. I did blood, stool test, Upper and Lower GI(Colonscopy), Ctscan and nothing showed up. I did passed a tiny kidney stone in last 3 months. Its getting worse day by day. I wake up with very less pain but its gets worse after I start eating and unable to walk/sit because of my stomach and ribcage pain. I will appreciate if someone can advice.
Avatar f tn You can't really "spot reduce", but it would be helpful to do "all over toning". Walking is an excellent exercise; yoga is my personal favorite -- yeah, I know - sounds boring right? Nope, it's not -- it's a challenge, but it will certainly help tone those muscles and it's also very relaxing.

They have tons of prenatal yoga dvds, I have even see them available at the library... But I get it free on my on demand lol just thought I'd share what relieves my back problems, you will definitely learn a lot of new tips!
Avatar f tn Stomach muscles or back pain could be related to stretching ligaments and nerve pains due to shifting organs to accommodate your growing uterus. I guess those are icky pregnancy issues that we have to deal with. Try to rest, if possible and relax. Maybe prenatal yoga would help?

Avatar f tn My stomach has been feeling sore (muscle wise -- like after an ab workout) I normally like to do bridges (lay on back then raise self up so only feel and hands are on the floor, stomach is in air) to relieve this type of pain, is it okay to do this during the first trimester?
