Avatar m tn My daughter has been suffering with nausea and stomach pain for four months. Our family doctor and two gastroenterologists have been unable to diagnose the problem. The pain is located directly below her ribs in the center. She has not lower abdomen problems or unusual bowel movements. (regular, normal) She has had blood work done twice, H.pylori, celiac, ect. all came back normal. She had an endoscopy of her stomach, with a biopsy, all normal.
Avatar f tn Every time I eat and sometimes even when I dont eat I get horrible stomach pain and diarrhea. I went to the doctor and all blood work came back normal. I have an appointment with a gastro, but I was hoping to get some insight here.

Avatar m tn Happened to me too. Had quit gluten, dairy, bananas, oats, barley, and some nuts.
Avatar n tn I wonder if it is possible that my IBS problem involving gluten not only affects the gut, but also heartbeats? I have been eating quick oats for a while, in the belief that oats dont contain gluten, but maybe 15 mins after breakfast I start to get rapid heartbeat & a strange fluttering feeling in the stomach, + wanting to sleep. I have substituted puffed millet for 2 days & the symptoms dont happen, but flavoured gluten free rice biscuits bring it on at lunch time!
Avatar m tn s Red Mill Gluten-Free Flour to make corn muffins and I had slight stomach ache. I also had strong pain and gas in response to a multi-grain gluten-free pasta from DeBoles. Neither of these have any of the three ingredients. My doc said that I had reactions to legumes (and especially soy) in the ***** test, but that may simply be because I have a terrible pollen allergy- and I got the impression I can still eat beans.
Avatar n tn - - try to eat a relatively high fibre diet and especially oats and bran (my Wife makes me home made muesli = oats and bran soaked in milk to which grated fruit/nuts have been added - the mixture looks like wet cement). I feel that the oats + bran soak up the liquid bowel mortions and make them more "muddy/sludgy". A bit like mopping up a spillage on the kitchen floor by throwing sawdust on it. Also I suggest that it is worth taking specific steps to prevent anal soreness.
Avatar f tn I'm 4 days away from my due date and the last couple nights I haven't been sleeping well as I'm a huge giant and uncomfortable lol but I hope I'm not the only one raiding my fridge at midnight......tonight it was left over Chinese food. I'm awful! But it was so worth it.
1194973 tn?1385503904 these are loaded with good bacteria that can improve digestion and releive gas and bloating, which is where most of your stomach pain starts from. you can take probiotics any time even before your treatment begins. Yogurt also contains good culture for your stomach.
Avatar m tn However since oats are not gluten rich, many people with gluten intolerance or sensitivity tolerate oats. Also gluten free oats are available. Dizziness on standing up can be due to postural or orthostatic hypotension, anemia, cervical spondylosis Please discuss this with your doctor. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar n tn Now the problems have returned and he says he feels full on an empty stomach in the morning and can roll around the floor in pain to the point we think he needs an ambulance. He is on omeprazole but i am at my wits end.He is losing weight and doctors are now not sure. Awaiting blood tests for dairy allergy and oats to see if he has and allergy to this and going to starta new medicine in a few days.
Avatar f tn m suffering from bloating, belching, burping, flatulence, heartburn, acid reflux and last month it all got worse and after every meal I have really sharp, burning pain in my stomach, especially at one spot. I also noticed my stool is really dry and there is undigested food in it too. I have difficulty to go to the toilet and never feel any relief afterwards. I also noticed my nails breaks every easily and I have white spots on it.
Avatar m tn Oats are questionable for people with gluten sensitivity. It's best to avoid oats, because they are more likely than other grains to have cross contamination issues. For example, if they're grown in a field next to a field of wheat, that's all it takes for that entire field of oats to be a problem for people with gluten intolerance and/or Celiac.
Avatar m tn For a while now my stomach has been getting a bloated feeling after eating and at some point i will almost always start getting a bunch of gas (flatulence) , This bloating usually happens after i eat, and it is especially noticable after i eat like my morning cereal or if i eat like oatmeal. Also when im eating sometimes it feels like i have to take deep breaths. My doctor thought it might be an ulcer or something, but i got a GI and it showed i digested fairly normally.
6774519 tn?1384675737 Once you start eating healthily and eat foods that contain roughage, like cabbage, prunes, oranges, apples, oats, pulses, your body should start to work properly again. Doing some form of exercise, even walking can also help to get your bowels to move. There are also medications that loosen the faeces rather than using laxatives that can be quite harsh and aggravate the anal passage. Do speak with your doctor because there may be another underlying problem as well possible anaemia.
Avatar f tn If I am hungry and do not eat within 5-10 minutes, my stomach growls so loud that I am sure can be heard by everyone in the room (not to mention it is embarrassing). If I eat later than 20 minutes, I get gas after 2 hrs. Initially, I used to think I was lactose intolerant so I started using lactose free milk. No change whatsoever. Now, I have an additional problem that if I take ordinary milk, I am more gassy than usual. I tried Simethicone, charcoal tablets, etc. with no relief.
Avatar f tn Possibly look into dysautonomia or POTS(postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). My son had the same symptoms and it took us a really long time to get him properly diagnosed. The blood may be pooling in the stomach, causing abdominal pain and dizziness since it isn't making it back up to the brain. The autonomic nervous system regulates all functions in the body that are involuntary(heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, body temp, etc).
660872 tn?1238641245 I think oats are ok for dogs. I used to give mine a 'working-dog' mix which contained rolled oats. If she's drinking plenty of water, then the oats will be ok, but not so nice inside her if she hasn't had a good drink. I'm afraid most dogs will snaffle anything they can get their teeth into. Mine hoovers up around the bird-table. That's become her hobby. I feel more sorry for the chickens! How to stop her eating the chicken feed? There's only one sure-fire way.
681148 tn?1437661591 Note that if it IS Celiac by chance, you need to eliminate ALL traces of wheat (any variety), rye, barley (including malt), and oats from your diet. Not even minute quantities. Oats are in a special category, though...Google "Celiac" and "oats" if you feel the need to know more.
Avatar m tn t much of this in quick oatmeal, a little in rolled oats, more in steel or stone cut oats, and the most in whole oats, which almost nobody eats anymore. But you can just buy the oat bran and sprinkle it on your cereal. Antioxidants are very important for keeping cholesterol from sticking to your blood vessels, which is why the bad cholesterol is bad -- it oxidizes quickly. Leafy green vegetables in abundance are the best way to get antioxidants, along with berries.
Avatar f tn Each has its own advantages and disadvantages. While microfracture has the quickest and easiest recovery period, it is the least preictable in the long term. OATS is usually used for lesions less than 2.5 cm and ACi for bigger lesions. Many surgeons recommend starting with microfx, and then trying oats or ACI if needed.
Avatar n tn We have all been experiencing acid stomach overload. I immediately switched my diet to alkaline foods only - NO PAIN! But the list was basic and the foods boring, then I stumbled upon Sherry Brescia's site. I am not affiliated or related to her in any way. Have not met the woman etc, I am just so passionate about the turnaround in my life from her method that I have to share. I kid u not, her food plan works, she gives you a 4 day pain free menu to start, and I promise, - NO PAIN.
Avatar m tn I am curious if I am still getting the same nutritional value from the uncooked oats as if I were cooking them?
Avatar n tn I am at present really not well, severe stomach pains and vomiting, wierd headaches, for the first time ever last week had a migraine headache (I'm 55). Have had IBS for close to 40 years - but this doesn't feel like IBS. I'm thinking Ulcers - but not sure - keep getting blister like spots around my stomach area. As soon as I eat a meal (very small amounts) I vomit. Doctor gave me pills to stop stomach acid, but I'm still vomiting (pills did help with stomach acid).
Avatar m tn I have been to my GP in the UK several times and after having a blood test for Celiac disease (negative results), also to check for antibodies related to UC/Crohn's (also negative), I've been "diagnosed" with IBS and minor hemorrhoids which I was given suppositories to treat. The hemorrhoids were assumed because I'd seen some light blood spotting on the toilet paper from time to time, and occasional itchiness around the anus waking me up in the night.
