Avatar f tn Can anyone give me any advice on what I should do or Whom I should go see that can help me with pinched nerves in the spine. Do you think I should make Pain Management my next option and will it help?
Avatar f tn All last night I had bad back and stomach pain. I am thinking I am just nervous. Our son passed a way almost 15 months ago during birth at full term. It's hard to keep my nerves in check at this stage. My stomach hurts bad, its all twisted and nothing seems to make it feel better. I have to get our kids ready for a sleep over and do a final house clean. Does anyone know of what I can do or take to mellow out my stomach??
Avatar f tn So, after almost three months with agonizing pain she emailed me and said my results were very positive with severe gastroparesis, a disorder in which the stomach takes too long to empty after eating. This occurs when the nerves to the stomach are damaged or don't work. Contact your GI dr and let them know your symptoms. Now my pain started in the upper section of the stomach and would gradually move to the right. Hope this helps a bit. Feel free to ask any questions. Good luck!!
Avatar f tn t slept due to being up all night worrying. Even on weekends now and then I wake up with my heart beating fast and a stomach doing somersaults. Usually it calms down by about mid day.
Avatar n tn My stomach is so queezy, upset and like something is going to happen and shakey. I also have self-death scenerio. |Am I going nuts or what?
Avatar m tn Sometimes the nerves that are in your chest area radiate pain outward and even wrap around to your back, causing the sensation of pain in remote areas of the body. This is according to my husband's chiropractor. Your other symptoms are associated with poor digestion.
Avatar f tn m 30 weeks and over like the last week my stomach muscles have been so sore and sensitive I feel a constant pain in my stomach. If so, what have you done that has helped to relieve some of the pain?
Avatar n tn I have been to the doctor many times and she tells me that its nerves. I thought that she was crazy. I have always had bad nerves but no pain like this until I had my gallblatter removed. So I was put on Lexapro. Didn't help. Just made me sleeppy. So I stopped talking it, but I kind of do beleive now thats its my nerves. When ever I think about things that I don't want to I can feel it starting to come on.
Avatar f tn s helped tremendously, but when I stand or walk for long periods of time I have more pain. Am concerned about the pain in the abdomen and if it could be related to the back pain. One doctor told me it could affect the stomach since the nerves in the back area could be causing the front area to hurt. Thank you for any help you can provide.
Avatar n tn Even had to call 911 once. Went to pain management to control the pain. She had a big scar from the rib cage to her belly button from gall bladder surgery in late 1980's (over 20 years ago), is it possible that the nerve on the scar tissue triggers the severe burning sensation, then pain in her stomach and the explosion feeling. She recalled that while recuperating at home from that surgery, she felt her stomach was burning so severe inside her stomach that she had to take medication.
3182438 tn?1359489871 It only lasts a few seconds but it takes my breath away and hurts like hell. With my son I had pain from him playing with my nerves and this baby has played with my nerves but its not in the same spot and doesn't feel the same. I have a normal appt with my doc tomorrow so I'll talk to her then I was just wondering if anyone has had someting like this.
Avatar f tn i am in the same boat you are....endo, IBS, gastritis, GERD, ulcer and hital hirnea! i have gone though so many doctors, and unfortunately haven't found one that really helps me out much. i was taking a bunch of different meds; darvocet, sucfrate, bentyl, and some other stuff....but i didn't want to take a bunch of pills daily so i cut most of it out. i am on continous hormones (birth control) to try and control my endo and the pain that brings.
Avatar f tn My family doctor says the nerves have been stretched thus the heavy pain in my ear, head, shoulder areas. So I quit taking the lyrica. I decided after reading a post to start taking it again. I will see how that helps. The lodine patches help some and so does the pain. While at work it is hard for me to concentrate and teach as effectively as I should. I hate to take a leave of absence as I love teaching and I know the kids will miss me, but it is really probably the best solution.
Avatar f tn At the beginning of this year, I began training for a 1/2 marathon and started having severe pain in the abdomen. I went back to my plastic surgeon who felt like the problem came from my gall bladder sx. I had lost 33lbs and yet within a week of the pain I had a pooch of fluid on my stomach. I went to my surgeon (gall bladder) and he drained off fluid and told me I had torn a stomach muscle. I lay in bed for 6 weeks not able to do anything. That was about two months ago.
11183374 tn?1416514458 Sorry for TMI but my son has been kicking around a lot for the past hour or so and I just got random sharp pains in my hoo ha. The first pain was kinda like a tickling feeling from my tummy to my hoo ha and after that I got 3 more sharp pains kinda in a pulsing order prob about 30seconds to a minute from each other and then they stopped. Should I be worried?
Avatar f tn It has to due with the nerves in the stomach being affected by the diabetes just like the nerves in a diabetics foot. It is a neuropathy. I know b/c my mom had this as one of her complications to her diabetes. You would be amazed at how many medical personnel never heard of it. I'd go over to the diabetes section and seek support. I'm not saying a person's thyroid can't indirectly affect the nervous system but this is a known diabetes complication.
Avatar f tn Always remember that you don't have to use an epidural! If you are that terrified, going with a lighter pain killer might work better. I'm planning to go natural and only using a light pain killer in my iv if I really can't handle the pain. Also, maybe look up some labor techniques like breathing and positions to help ease pain. You'll be fine mama. Our bodies were made for this! And it's all worth it in the end.
Avatar m tn The reason I think that the Vagus nerve is involved is because I have heart palps., severe stomach pain, gastroparesis, and trouble breathing (I think from the pain, but I don't know). This all started when symptoms started after a small wreck. Before then I had not had health problems so no MRI. Everyone seems to think that this is incidental, but cannot offer any other diagnosis. I am trying to get into TCI but will have to wait until March.
Avatar n tn Pain under the left shoulder blade is usually a referred pain from abdomen like stomach ulcers, acidity, pancreatitis, or ectopic pregnancy or from the chest like in heart attack, pericarditis, pleuritis, pneumonia, pulmonary embolus, and aortic dissection. Since the pain is not much chances of chest related causes are less. It is in all probability acidity due to medications you took. Raise head end of bed. Take Omeprazole empty stomach in morning and an antacid gel at bedtime.
Avatar n tn My midwife assured me yesterday the cramps are round ligament pain cause by the baby and uterus growing. And the back aches are from the baby pressing on nerves. Sleeping with a pillow between your legs and one under your stomach relieves some of that. Also, a warm bath before bed can help relax some muscle tension. Good luck!
