I'm newly diagnosed diabetic and taking Metformin 500mg 2x a day. I have been taking it for about 10 days and have had the worse cramps and stomach pain! I'm not sure if it is my pre menstrual, which never feels like this, or the new medication. Has anyone had stomach pains or cramps as side effect of Metformin? I'm also taking Lisinopril-HTCZ.
I do have high blood pressure and asthma, (i take Lisinopril and Albuterol for those). My BP has still been running high, although I was just switched to Lisinopril from Propranolol 4 days ago. Should I go to the ER?
I have a blood pressure and the doctor gave me ( lisinopril ) tablet but after two years of taking it i am have stomach pain and chest pain sometimes if i sit down i will have the same pain in my back,i went to doctor to check me out he said there's nothing wrond with me ....please can anyone help me out here?????
After questioning why I had high blood pressure and not getting any answers I asked to see another doc and he added Lisinopril 10mg and said come back in 6 months. Since then BP has been steady at 130's/40's. After bugging the doc enough about why at 32 i have to take 3 meds to keep BP under control he has finally set me up to see a kidney specialist.
I feel like my upper thigh muscles are going to release from the bone when I try to pick up my feet. I have not fallen nor have I been attacked. I have been to the local hospital for CT Scan
and radiology on left thunb. They have actually suggested that my husband might have hit me. NO NO NONO!!!
I am in trouble here. MY injuries are not from someone - no one has been around. Please Help me. Do I need to get my Vit. K. checked?????? Help me I am alittle scared.
I wonder if the Lisinopril is the reason why I have dark urine, havent went as much, and get dizzy sometimes....only been happening last few days.
Soon after that I stopped the lisinopril on my own. I had tons of side effects from it. It was also lowering my heart rate into the 30s and 40s and dropping my BP to nearly nothing. My cardio told me that was ok but stay on the Coreg because it actually rebuilds the heart.
I was also very active and they told me that doing arobic exercise was the cause of many young seemingly healthy adults cardiomyopathy because the wall thicken due to something called LVH in short hypertrophy.
I have been taking 40 mg lisinopril for 3 months. It works on my BP but I am coughing and my nose is running.
Recently I have been experiencing sudden pain in my abdomen. The pain then spreads to my shoulders and down my arms. A little health history...I am 32 year old male, 6'3" 265lbs. I have slightly high blood pressure that I take 5mg of Lisinopril for and have been for the past 3 weeks. I also had a bout of Prostatitis which I was given a ten day supply of Cipro for. Also, I have had my hear checked fully 2 years ago when my EKG showed and abnormality.
On the 30 day follow up from hospitalization and another echocardiobram I was told my heart function was up to 30%. My lisinopril went from 10 to 20 mg. On my 30 day follow-up office visit from the following cardiocatherization I was told my heart was functioning at 25% even though I was feeling better than before I had the cardiac event in December. Even though I was feeling better the doctor increased my lisinopril to 40mg. I don't get it.
I have had stomach problems off an on all of my life...I am now 32. I finally got a doctor to try to solve the problem, and I was told that I have a hiatal hernia and chronic gastritis. I also found out I have sleep apnea. I am now on 2 otc Prilosecs a day. I also take Lisinopril/HCTZ, 20 mg of Celexa, 1 Lodrane, and two otc Dramamine (that if for the nausea). I stopped taking Ibuprofen over three weeks ago. I thought things were better, but I have thrown up twice in the last week.
Procardia xl or nifedipine may have side effects such as headache, dizziness, drowsiness, tired feeling, sleep problems, mild rash or itching, nausea, diarrhea, mild constipation or stomach pain. It can also cause more serious side effects such as fast heart rate, numbness and even chest pains which warrants immediate medical attention. My blood pressure has two different readings when taken from both arms simultaneously. The difference sometime can defer as much as 10 mmH. For example, from my right arm it reads 140/86, but my left arm reads 150/94 and it has been quite consistantly different between 5-10 mmH.
Another question is, I am currently taking COSAAR 50mg to control my Blood pressure and after a couple of months, it seems that the medication has no effect on me.
I first noticed early beats shortly after my Lisinopril dose was increeased to 20mg from 10mg, I take for mild high blood pressure. I informed my doctor about this coorelation but he dismissed it. If my research is correct, Lisinopril can take about 7 hours to begin to work in the body and reaches it's peak potency after about 12 hours.
Would anyone here know, how long it would take lisinopril, a BP medication to remylinate the brain?
I am referring to the study. Done at Stanford, where the rats with MS were given Lisinopril.
I am sooooo exhausted not sure if it is from Vytorin or Lisinopril but have been on a ton of them and they all make me tired or cause me muscle pain or some other side effect. My doctor said that you need to stay on them for a while and then your blood pressure should regulate and the horrible side effects should go away after a few weeks.......we will see! Good Luck!
