Has anyone ever had a problem with a copper IUD becoming impacted? I'm due to have this surgically removed since it won't come out with a simple pull in the Drs office. Ever since I had it inserted almost 1 1/2 yrs ago I have experienced a hive/excema like rash on my legs, arms, back and stomach which has taken steroid treatment to alleviate but, only temporarily.
I also have never had problems with cysts on my ovaries. I have had the iud in for a little over a year now and was just rushed to the er with a 7cm cyst on my right ovary and severe abdominal pain. I ended up having to have my ovary and fallopian tube removed on that side due to the cyst. My doctor did say it could have been caused by the mirena iud.
But as soon as the IUD was removed I felt absolutely no pain! From March through October I had pain every month, and since November I have not felt a twitch in that area. I am not ready to say that the IUD caused the Crohn's but I can confidently say that it irritated the region and caused pain. It's possible that it is causing an all-out flare with you, since you have been experiencing pain for 3 weeks.

I had my daughter in March and after 6 weeks chose to get an iud. I started having pain from it so I went in last week & found out it wasn't in place. The doctor removed it and gave me birth control pills for after I start my period. He said I wasn't pregnant, based on the ultra sound which showed the iud in the wrong spot. Well I still haven't started my period, it's late. I took a test a few days ago and it was negative but still no period. I feel off & just different.
So I have been having my IUD since June and may for 2 months now. When my period is supposed to be here I get this brownish yellowish milky discharge with a bad odor. Can someone help me? This never happened to me I keep myself clean 24/7 but even after I take a shower maybe 2-3 hours after the smell is back.
I had my IUD in for just shy of 2 years and started experiencing horrible pain. After finally getting an ultrasound, I found the IUD was wider than my uterus and that's why I was experiencing all the pain and had it removed on 1/6/14. However, I'm finding a lot of women are experiencing the Mirena IUD "Crash". I started spotting about 2 days later and that lasted about 4 days.
It is constant and some days hurt more then others. I figured maybe the IUD was causing it but the pain has continued even with it removed.
I have to pee a lot, I do not leak, I just feel the urge to pee ALL THE TIME, I pee 4-6x a night, and I go every 30minutes throughout the day, and even after I go pee I still feel pressure like maybe my bladder isn't empty all the way.
I have gained weight.
Past 6months or so, I have constipation 90% of the time.
I had the IUD place wednesday September 27, since having it placed iv had nothing but GOOD experiences!! i'm very pleased that i decided to go with this birth control, the only problem i've expericed is drinking carbonated drink. Every time i drink a coke, mellow yellow or even a sprite i get a sharpe pain in my stomach and down my left leg, i've taken my self off of carbonated stuff but i'm just wondering why this would effect me now.
I had my iud put in feb 09 after I had my son. Just about 5 months ago my period had stopped all together. I started to have lower back pain cramping nausea, breasts grew, weight gain an if I lay on stomach I feel life I am laying on a ball.
I am overweight, and I am working on this, but my stomach seems bloated and sore most of the time, I get cramps in my lower abdomen quite often (could also be from IBS though as well), and have had pain in my ovaries. I have not had a period since I had my daughter, but then again, I have been breastfeeding and was told that with IUD they may stop anyway. I have had increased weight gain, many, many emotional issues, body aches/pains, etc. that I did not have before as well.
s are not 100%, but I havent gotten pregnant and have had ample sex with my spouse with it in for 5 years(implanted by Dr.) But my stomach is fluttering and Twitching and it has me very concerned. Can it do this and not be pregnant?
Could this be causing the intense pain I am feeling? I am a mom to 2 small kids, and am not even back to being 100% from my last surgery. They removed my IUD during my last surgery thinking that was possibly causing them. I tried Depo (and if I am still married in 3 months I WILL NEVER do it again) and they told me that basically shuts down your ovaries so I should be cyst free. Any help or imput would be greatly appreciated!

i am 29 years married with 2 kids,i have IUD as a way to avoid getting pregnant ,i had my period on the 17 of feb 2008 and it seemd to b normal on my last day of period i had incomplete intercourse with my husband and two days after i start feeling sever pain in the upper part of my stomach ,the pain last for two days and then disapear but til now i am feeling nausiated,dizzy with some stomach discomfort .....i had such signs with my first two sons ..
My symptoms have gotten much worse. I still can't eat. My stomach is very tender. I used to be able to lie down and set my 9 month old on my stomach but now that hurts really bad (even pressing on my stomach is painful). I have pain while I'm passing uring, gas or a BM. The pain is in my lower abdomen on both sides now. My fatigue has gotten much worse. I have to take naps throughout the day and I still feel like I could sleep for days.
I had an IUD removed on 4/14/12 i spotted the first day after removal then on 4/17/12 i started bleeding heavy i believed it was my period since i was supposed to start it went away around 4/25/12. i had unprotected sex on 4/27/12 i am waiting for my next cycle i believe now am like 6 days late i have been feeling nausea that doesn't go away, bloated, stomach pain, headache and tender breast also notice some white/yellowish discharge can i be pregnant?
I had the mirena iud for six months and had it removed b/c it caused me pain in my back and legs, and also my lower stomach. We wanted to have another child to in foture so after hearing that some women where having trouble getting pregnant we had it taken out. Now one year later we are finally pregnant. So any one having trouble getting pregnant after mirena it will happen when you are not trying so hard. Good luck to those of you trying may god be with you.
I have the mirena iud in for 2 years now, and always got my period same time every month. Now it stopped nov.2012 so no period for 2 months. I have had serve stomach pain tender breasts and nausea. I have taken several pregnancy test 3 said positive 4 said neg. Now last night I have light bleeding. I dont know if its my period or what. I have an appointment to see my doctor next Tuesday. (The earliest I could be seen). Just want to know what could this be.
