I took her to the doctor again today (1 week later) and they told me that she has erytherma multiforme caused from the amoxicillin. Can anyone tell me if the amoxicillin was the cause to this and how long it will last? Do you think it could be something else?
I was given 875mg of amoxicillin this time when I went to the doctor. The amoxicillin seems to be working wonders. After only 2 doses the swelling and pain have significantly reduced however my stomach doesn't seem to like amoxicillin too much. A lot of cramping. I was wondering if there was a way to try to soothe my stomach while being on the amoxicillin?
Is a tender stomach normal with a peptic ulcer? My entire stomach area, from just below my breasts, down to my navel, is very tender to the touch. When touched it produces like a burning/stinging/bruised feeling. Depending on the day, or time of the day, the pain is greater or less. It's not any worse than it has been for the past month or so, but it is worrying me. Is this normal with a duodenal ulcer?
I pretty much been in extreme tooth pain and to add to that every time i take this i get pretty bad stomach pain i describe it as the empty feeling you have when you don't eat anything but x10, so i did some searching and i could not find anywhere saying 875mg every 8 hours i only saw every 12 hours. I just wanted to know if i should switch the hours and start taking it every 12 or just keeping going with every 8 hours whatever is the safest i guess.
It can cause stomach problems so should be taken with or after food. Sometimes a doctor prescribes stomach medication to protect the stomach from the Ibuprofen. Ibuprofen can also cause allergic reactions.
Personally, I would take the pain relief medication as directed on the packet or how your doctor has told you. Drink plenty of fluids, soups, jello. fruit juices. Make sure you drink so you do not get dehydrated. Keep of milk products for the time being.

The most common side effects with either of these is stomach upset or pain. If either occurs, discontinue and consult your doctor.
After you've taken the full course of your antibiotics, presuming you are able and have no deterring side effects, it is wise to take a weeks worth of a probiotic supplement (like yogurt, but in pill form) that is enteric coated so to survive your stomach acid. That will put your digestion and body back in balance.

My family and I were headed on vacation so I tried to ignore the pain. It seemed to subside until one day on vacation I worked out at our resort and this caused my shoulder to become more painful. I tried a hot shower on it and massaged it. The next day it was purple like bruised. I got some amoxicillin prescribed the next day and took it for 5 days. The purple seemed to go away there is barely a slight discoloration remaining today. I went to my Dr June 14 because the pain seemed to come back.
dentist then cleaned the tooth out and put a filling on it.two hours later after the numbness from the anesthetic wore of i had the worst pain in my life from the front of my scalp to by temples, behind my ear all the way to the back of my head. went to the ER was given darvocet which helped some until i got to the dentist the next morning . 10/6/06 route canal was done. the pain stopped replaced by soreness. I was given a prescription of more darvocet and amoxicillin 500mg.

The medications I've been prescribed have varied from amoxicillin to Prilosec and dicyclomine. I don't believe any of these have worked but what I have done is tried to eat healthier. Typically at night when I try to sleep my symptoms become worse, also after eating I no longer immediately lay down. My bowel habits have also changed but I still use the bathroom everyday without problems.
After having intercourse with my girlfriend, as always I run water in the condom just to check it, it's been a habit since I started doing it so I just continue to do it now. She's been on birth control for over a year, but we still use a condom as a second method of backup.
I've been reading a lot of things but have yet to come to a definitive answer as to why there was a tiny pinhole in the condom after filling with water.
About 2 months ago, I started having stomach pains. The pain would stay for a whole day, lessen the next couple and then come back. It went on like this for a couple weeks. I took Prilosec and Prevacid, both of which seemed to work for about 3-4 days and then symptoms came back. My gastro had me take Probitoics which didn't seem to work. The pain still remained and even became sharper at times. The pain is in m upper abdomen, just below my ribs. I got a colonoscopy and endoscopy.
However I recently had a sinus infection and took Amoxicillin for 7 days. Here it is, 2 weeks after stopping the Amoxicillin, I am having severe heartburn again. Did the antibiotic have anything to do with this?
On Sept 6, 2007 I experienced a searing pain that started under my left rib cage. The pain waxed and wained throughout the day, increasing day by day. Four days later my doctor diagnosed a kidney infection due to microscopic blood in urine, fecal studies negative for blood. Amoxicillin, 875 Mg 2 x's daily. Pain generally got better over the next week. Pain returned, feeling as if something was swelling under my left rib cage and pressing against the bone, both front and back.
I am scheduled to get it extracted in a week from tomorrow. I first went to the dentist three weeks ago and he prescribed me amoxicillin, which I took and the pain and swelling went away. I then went to the oral surgeon a week later for a consultation. He said I had bone loss near the wisdom tooth from the infection, which scared me. He told me to wait to take another dose of amoxicillin until the day before the extraction. My jaw is currently hurting right below the lower left wisdom tooth.
A month after I experienced some symptoms typical of an STD (only at night/evening) such as burning in the urethra and in the head of the penis, frequent urination (no discharge to my knowledge) and pain in my side while sitting. I went to a doctor (4weeks after) had std test done for HIV Syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia and Herpes, all of which came back negative.
I was prescribed some on holiday when I had my wisdom teeth coming through at about 24 weeks pregnant. the burning subsided but the pain to press on my stomach did not. I went back and he gave me amoxicillin. The pain in my lower abdomen did not go away and they never tested for an std because i am not having and weird colored discharge. i decided to go to obgyn and told them my story and they didnt test either. they did a routine urinalysis which came back with no leukocytes or nitrites in my urine. i also had a pelvic ultrasound and they didnt find anything like pid.
So my LLMD has me on the following medications: Amoxicillin, Clindamycin, and Capadex (for my stomach problems). My dosage of the antibiotics are very high and I will be taking it for about 2 months. He believes I may H pyelori as well as Lymes because of my reoccurring ulcers. I am getting a more sensitive test for h Pyelori as well. I am also taking or about to Amrix for muscle pain. Has anyone taken this?
I had sinus infection and got Amoxicillin for it. Had diarrhea, then a rash all over stomach, back, thighs, then yeast infection. I stopped taking the Amoxicillin and the doctor told my husband I was allergic to Penicillin.
A week later I vomited several times and had cramping (like the stomach flu) and now my forehead has broken out with an itchy ***** rash like poison oak! Could the rash be associated with the Amoxicillin or the Sinus infection?
