Avatar n tn few years ago during numerous sit up appro.20-30 sit- ups I felt this painful knot in my lower abdomin ...like someone rolling my intestine inside my stomach, it was so painful that I can't breath nor can't move, and now it seems that every time I do 5 sit-ups and and exercise that related to abs....it's startst to trigger this pain even having sex ...especially when i am on top like set up position. Anyone help!!!!!!from MD....
Avatar m tn ok so i was watching king kong and decided to do situps right.. so i did the sit ups and never stoped because i was focussed on the movie so i just did situps till the movie ended.. after the movie finsihed i realized wat i was doing..
Avatar n tn After which, i did not observe much discomfort until late Feb, where the abdominal pain starts again. I thought it would be related to doing sit-ups, because I observed mild pain in the abs area after doing those sit ups. Anyway i went forth to the specialist on 3rd March, and told him about my condition. I told him about my abdominal pain, and sometimes i would have diarrhoea. and i also hardly see hard stools ever.

When I try to straighten my chest (more like align it straight), I feel pain. When I bend my back forward just a tiny little bit, it doesn't hurt. This is the first day of the pain. Any help would be appreciated! By the way, tomorrow I do a push-up test for physical education, and when I tried to do a push-up at home, I failed. I dropped to the ground because it hurt so much.
Avatar f tn My upper stomach area just under my breasts but in the middle has been really sore since last night. Hurts to touch feels like i did a thousand sit ups but worse like someone punched me. It's constant and hurt all night while i was sleeping. I went out for dinner last night at an asian place and had red wine, not long after eating i had burning in that area but after some time it subsided but now i have this pain.

Avatar f tn something most people forget when doing excessive sit-ups is that abdominals are muscles and they need time to rest and recover just like any other muscle in your body.
Avatar n tn Good day. Twice in about a month this has happened. I get what feels like an over abundance of gas just looming inside my stomach. My whole lower/mid abdomen is in severe discomfort to the point where walking, standing up straight, and getting up and down are very difficult. My stomach gets extremely bloated-out to the point where I have to unbutton my pants for comfort. Pressing on my stomach and crunching my legs up towards the stomach are very uncomfortable.

Also during this time, I started walking a lot and doing sit-ups (something I hadn't done in years). The third change I made was wearing a sports bra to help support me while walking (which I now realize was too tight. I had to pull over one day and take it off because my right breast went numb. The feeling returned completely once I took it off.
Avatar n tn I commonly had this occurrence when I was exercising at your age, especially during sit-ups or crunches, it's caused by having water in your stomach. You should be hydrating before exercising. Drinking excessive amounts of water while exercising can lead to an electrolyte imbalance causing cramps, fainting or other problems as well as that sloshing sound.
3246041 tn?1347162417 m pregnant and feels like I did a bunch of sit ups, that feeling you get right after sit ups is as close as I can get to discribing the pain. It's kind of a numb, constant pain and it will get so bad were I cant get comfortable. I will get very gassy and have the burps and so much air will come out. Sometimes the pain will last hours after. A couple times, the food didnt settle or digest in my stomach so 4 hours passed and I everntually made myself vomit. That happened for 3 days.

Avatar m tn I have been doing sit-ups with my dumb bell for quite some time and lately my chest has been hurting when I apply pressure. I normally put up my dumb bell and hold it up to my chest and start doing a good 50 sit-ups. Doing these sit-ups are a part of my regular daily routine and i don't know if i should just ignore it, it is not massive pain where I can not handle. I guess if i wanted to I can just ignore it.
5891248 tn?1406410864 Right after you have your baby, yes, you'll have a very noticeable pooch. Basically it's just the stretched skin that hasn't yet had a chance to recover. Give it at least a couple months and you'll start seeing a difference, if your tummy was small to begin with. After that, just take good care of your skin. It will have a lot of work to do trying to get back into decent shape. I'd say after 2-3 months have passed, ask your doctor about starting to do crunches/sit ups/etc.

327385 tn?1378360731 You can try taking an NSAID or OTC pain killers just before doing sit ups and also make sure you maintain your fluid intake and are not dehydrated. It would be great if you can switch to another form of exercise.
Avatar m tn I sleep good, then as soon as sit up, its like someone switched on an air compressor in my stomach. Well, now the gas pains have gone however I now have a soreness feeling in my upper stomach area along with my lower back. Like I worked out my "truck area" or something. Ive been to Dr, who did an xray and told me to eat 5 prunes aday. Im a 30yr old male, alittle over weight, but not extreme. Im also sorta a hypocondriac so this stuff sorta scares me.

Avatar f tn First make a daily workout. (It could include sit-ups, push-ups, jumping jacks, running, etc..) then put yourself on a diet.DON'T STARVE YOURSELF! if you starve yourself your stomach can shrink and badly hurt. If you do this ^ you should find differences quickly.
Avatar m tn Sit-ups aren't necessary, and aren't encouraged anymore. If you can do crunches and sit-ups hurt, don't do sit-ups. Why get complicated about it? There are a million different ab exercises out there, so there's not need to do any particular one to work that area.
