Avatar f tn Suggest avoiding coffee and see if the stomach 'tightness' subsides. If no, then it may be the medication. if it is the medication, suggest talking to your MD. Thank you for your question.
Avatar n tn It almost feel like a constant hunger pain. I also get a lower back pain sometimes and I dont know if there pains might be related. I don't smoke or drink alcohol alot, but I do drink 5-6 cups of coffee a day ( although I've been cutting back on cafiene for about 5 days now). Do you have any advice for me please?
Avatar n tn Hi, All of a sudden today I started getting spasm in the upper part of my stomach where your rib cage meets your stomach, the stranges part of it all is there is no pain its allmost like my stomach is having a 5 to 10 second seasure every 5 to 20 minutes. Is this something to look into?
8975356 tn?1416414054 I have been experiencing stomach pain. I get a burning, knawing pain in the upper part of my stomach and it sometimes radiates into my chest. It is especially bad every night - wakes me up and does not go away. I struggle with it until I eventually get up and get on with my day. I am waiting to get in for an endoscopy. The odd thing is that it almost always goes away after my morning coffee. Coffee does relieve the pain. Is there some benefit to coffee or what... ? This does not add up...
Avatar f tn Now I have discovered I can do small amounts of dairy (half and half in my coffee, etc,) but chunks of cheese send my stomach into distress again. Also remember the amount of good bacteria you get in a small portion of yogurt may not be enough to offset the problem. Have you tried probiotics? They are available everywhere now and give you a good dose of the bacteria and enzymes you need for digestion. Good Luck!
568812 tn?1379165794 recently, ive noticed (not all the time) that when i drink coffee, i get awful sensations in my guts. i wouldnt say it was pain but its very very very uncomfortable...thats the only way i can describe them. So, could this simply be a coffee intolerance? i dont think its caffiene cause i drink monster lots and that doesnt effect me.
Avatar f tn spicy, greasy, and fried foods are all things that i try to avoid because i notice a direct link to stomach pain.. coffee depends on the acuidity, i've noticed my mothers coffee hurts my stomach while most diner coffee is just fine.. if however my stomach feels off i avoid coffee and go for tea which i haven't noticed a problem with. too much coffee definitely is a problem however so i usually stick to no more than one refill when i'm out.
1337935 tn?1275845979 For the past year i have had this pain in the upper part of my stomach, mostly after i eat. Sometimes the pain comes and i eat something, and it goes away. Other times i have no pain, and after eating, i get the pain. This morning i had a coffee and a bagel, and had no pain. Half hour later i get the pain along with mid back pain. I have had both pains now almost all day and nothing helps. I have tried eating, and nothing makes it go away. Does anyone know what this could be?
Avatar m tn I am from India.I find that in the cold winter months ,i get pain above the stomach.3 hours after the meal, the pain arises. If i ate food then pain is gone. This always happens in the winter and then improves when the weather gets warmer.when i was in coastal area,no pain in my stomach. Is it a Gastric problem? what is the solution for this weather related problem.
Avatar m tn If you have any type of stomach sensitivity, things like coffee, tea, chocolate are all going to irritate the stomach, its the high level of acidity. While nexium will help with gerd, it wont do anything for gallbladder issues. I know you said you stopped coffee, but do you consume anything else like tea, tomato sauce, garlic, onions, spicy foods, greasy foods, fatty foods? If so, eliminate all of these things and see if the pain goes away.
Avatar f tn Once I got pregnant i was so pukey that I couldn't stomach coffee so it didn't matter plus w heartburn oh boy!
Avatar f tn I am a 30 year old female, average weight, non-drinking and non-smoking similar to you. I was on Effexor for a year but found that there were just too many side effects for me to justify taking it. I would feel shocks to my body and feel dizzy, like I was going to fall for a second, then I would be fine, then it would happen over and over again throughout the day. Other people have reported the electric shock feeling with Effexor as well.
6072305 tn?1378938337 Not smart, I know. My nausea is often accompanied by a moderate to severe pain in my general stomach area. Sometimes I wonder if I might have cancer or something but every time I'm at the doctors they tell me I'm fine. Any ideas? What medications should I be taking for the pain?
Avatar f tn im just worried about the pain afterwards my mom said it wasn't that bad but she had 3 kids before the C-section idk if that changes anything.. how much pain like 0-10(10 being the highest) is it when the medicine wears off ?
Avatar m tn Having hunger like pangs and some dull burn in my stomach right at bottom of my sternum. Stomach gets noisy at times either while eating or a few hours afterwards. Have gas off and on and flatulence. Have been taking Omeprazole OTC and seems to help some. Been like this for going on 6 weeks. No bloody stool or vomiting. I have bowel movement every morning with nothing out of the normal as far as stool changes. Pretty much the same every time in color and consistency.
2048234 tn?1330814100 I would be careful with the coffee, it may make your stomach upset. Drink hot tea, it has caffene. I found that peppermint tea really help my stomach.
4526747 tn?1356283415 I'm 38 weeks 4 days and I would love a cup of coffee, now I have been really good. I haven't been drinking soda or coffee throughout my whole pregnancy. Now that I'm so far along is it okay for me to have just one little cup of coffee? I miss it so much! Lol.
Avatar f tn I then realized it was the coffee I was drinking every morning. To test my theory, I switched from morning coffee to morning tea (Black tea). My stomach flu symptoms stopped. This morning, without thinking about it, I drunk coffee. Half-way through the day, my "stomach flu" symptoms returned. Is it possible to just be allergic to the coffee itself? I drink sodas and caffeinated teas often without issue. Why the sudden allergy to coffee? I've drunk it for years without it.
Avatar n tn I’m really hoping someone can help me as I feel I cannot go on any longer suffering with this condition, I have spent the past 9 months suffering with what I can only describe as a debiliting illness which so far doesnt seem to have a label, In October last year I started to suffer with stomach pain, this would come and go all day and has now got so bad that most days I can hardly move with the pain and discomfort.
Avatar f tn Coffee is fine! Just try to limit caffeine.
Avatar m tn I was throwing up every morning for six months. Coffee was the trigger. Do try stopping coffee as it causes problems for so many people.
Avatar n tn t anything new, many posts like it but I suffer from upset stomach / running stomach attacks every so often. Uncomfortable bloating almost everyday of the month, at least 3 days spread out with cramps and 1 day of running stomach. I am trying to find out why this is happening, I am highly stressed and know this can affect IBS. The GP I see has mentioned that he thinks this is the reason for most of my problems but haven't gone for any tests. Are there any?
Avatar m tn i have a swollen distorted stomach, pain down the right side which varies from wanting to make me scream to mild nagging pain... i have constanst diarreha.. which occurs after every meal and is worse in the mornings, i feel bloated, tired and sometimes sick....
Avatar n tn I had 2 days worth of severe localized abdominal pain along with vomiting what looked like coffee grounds, but no diarrhea and really no nausea -- just pain that led to vomiting. After 2 days the pain remained but was more dull, and the flu-like symptoms were gone, but a few days later I started vomiting again, and again it looked like coffee grounds.
Avatar f tn A fatal dose of caffeine would be 10 grams of coffee or about 80 cups of coffee all at once. While you are not likely drinking anywhere near a fatal dose, you are probably experiencing some serious consequences from your heavy intake of caffeine. Are you addicted to the caffeine?
Avatar f tn I have Not had a cup of coffee this whole pregnancy. I'm 28 weeks, what do you ladies think of one cup/ maybe just 8oz. Lol just thoughts. I could wait, it just sounds good. Or any recommended teas?
