No personal experience but I know a few Mom's have supplemented with liquids - such as a green smoothie to get more nutrition in to support baby. Because your stomach is now so much smaller you will have to be creative and really focus on high quality nutrition at every snack / meal. I'm sure you already have some experience but just be careful! And congrats!
I asked this already , but I don't think it was understood because I just wrote WLS instead of weight loss surgery.
I am 6 months out from having gastric bypass, and if you've read my other post, you know that I am in a pretty bad mixed episode right now. The doc and I both think that the surgery (plus other major life events( is what triggered this.
Are there any other weight loss surgery peeps out there who have bipolar disorder?
My question is, would i be a good canidate for WLS if I have Barrett's esophagus?
The surgeon who i spoke with about the Lap Band said this type surgery is actually
an ANTI-REFLUX surgery as well. I would like to hear the opinion of another doctor

Now on the triple treatment with Incivek and having a really tough time getting enough of the fat in my tiny stomach. In 2010 my hep c had caused my body to become so insulin resistant that I was gaining weight in leaps and bounds. Doctors knew that I had failed Pegasys/Riba treatment in 2003 and they wanted to save me so down the road I could attempt the new triple treatment for 1b folks that was in clinical trials at that time.
This is when I noticed the swelling. I also take hydrocodone 10/325 for break thru pain and 70 mg of methadone for pain. Didrex to help lose weight. Currently I am enrolled in a program to have weight loss surgery. However, my thyroid is not regular so until my synthroid starts working & my thyroid is regular for six months the surgeon will not perfom the WLS. Please help! I am a widow & raising my 16 year old daughter.
I am a 15 year old girl and for the past 3 years my stomach pain has been really. bad. It all started after I was diagnosed and cured of H-pylori. The pain has slowly gotten worse over the years. It. consists of nausea, reflux, sour stomach, and stomach spasms. It has gotten to the point where I had my gallbladder taken out. My dreams are now normal day activities, I can't go to school everyday, I can barely work and I can't always hang out with my friends.
however, what I didnt do first time round was to continue with it after delivery as I lost the baby belly, and I ended up with loads!
I am currently 17 weeks pregnant. And I've had severe stomach pain for the past 3 days. I have my appointment in a week. So i don't know if I should go to the ER or just wait till my next appointment. The stomach pain is mainly after every meal I have so I can't even eat without being in pain. Help!
Hi I've been having these issues too first started off in lower right abdomen up to navel and back to right side flank , now it's moved from the lower right to my back on walking and after food my whole stomach feels like I've got immense gas causing stomach pains , I've been in hospital and the stupid doctor sent me home failed to tell me I was highly anemiac (get that checked out) and they still don't know what the problem is , my recent docs appointment surgessted my intes
Recently, (starting 3 days ago) whenever I eat a meal I get moderate to severe stomach pain, initially the pain was severe and laid me up the whole day. I took Peptobismol which took the edge off but only for a while. Since then when I eat about an hour later I get upper left pain that is aches and is crampy, no burning, but my stomach feels very bloated. This all goes away when my stomach is empty, no pain, bloating etc. I have not noticed a change in bowel habits.
So, after almost three months with agonizing pain she emailed me and said my results were very positive with severe gastroparesis, a disorder in which the stomach takes too long to empty after eating. This occurs when the nerves to the stomach are damaged or don't work.
Contact your GI dr and let them know your symptoms. Now my pain started in the upper section of the stomach and would gradually move to the right.

Peptic ulcer disease causes upper left quadrant pain that usually begins 2 hours after a meal. It gets better with over the counter antacids. Stomach flu can cause indigestion and abdominal discomfort. Viral gastroenteritis can lead to nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. The exact location of pain and other details will help in determining the accurate cause .Take light meals. Avoid spicy fried foods. If the symptoms are severe consult a gastroenterologist.

For about 2-3 months my stomach has been giving me this really bad pain, but it goes away after about an hour. It comes after I eat sometimes and then other times it just comes up whenever. It's not just in one spot it's my whole stomach, and sometimes i get this feeling where I need to throwup but it goes away in 5-10 minutes. Should I go see my doctor or will all of this stop after a while?
