It could still be a stomach virus, however, it could be a bacteria or even parasite. I recenlty had a stomach virus that lasted about 7-8 days.

Your headaches could very well be a sign of dehydration - with all the diarrhea, you can get dehydrated pretty quickly. Be sure and stay well hydrated - water, ginger ale, sports type drinks are all good.
Hi. I'm having similar symptoms months after a flu /stomach virus also with no definite answers. I get very pronounced bloating , sometimes nausea and a feeling of fullness after eating very little. It has been going on for months. There a thread on steady health community where a lot of us have been having similar ongoing symptoms after a viral type illness. Some people have listed foods, herbs, probiotic treatments that have helped.
( Woke up with a sick little one today and then after lunch started getting any upset stomach headache back ache and having to have frequent regular bowel movements. I hate stomach viruses:( On top of that got the flu shot yesterday so I am achy from that too and I haven't ate but once today bc food sounds horrid. Anyone else going through this while pregnant?
So I went home feeling ok then next day I got my blood taken and right after I felt really weak and my stomach pain came back but this time it felt like gas in my stomach was always going in to my heart. it was hard to sleep and it made my heart feel weak but by the next day that went away but the stomach pain didn't so that was this past Wednesday.
I thought that i was getting better after a couple of days, but soon was awakened with a stomach flu in the middle of the night, I'm not throwing up anymore, but still have diarrhea and a very consistent pain in my abdomen, which I'm pretty sure is gas. Although i haven't been able to walk upright for long amounts of time without the pain becoming overwhelming its almost by my belly button but isn't stuck in one spot. Any help is appreciated.
I have recently started taking Lantus at night and Humalog before meals. After about a month my stomach pain was unbearable. It began with chills at night, severe dry heaves, (unable to throw up due to reflux surgery) and diahhrea. My doctor said he thought I had a virus. I could not figure out what was going on. I usually gave myself shots in the upper stomach area, so I moved the shots to my legs with no improvement. I even tried Levemir, but after two days the pains came back.
Ibuprofen is not suitable for everyone, and you would have to take it with or after food. If you do use the pain relief medications and Ibuprofen, then stagger the times when you take these.
Drink plenty of water and fruit juices so as not to get dehydrated.
Once you are well and your body has built up an immunity to the virus, it stays in your system.

I am 20 wks n 2 days and I have a stomach virus. I can't keep anything down. I am constantly vomiting. Will this affect the baby?
I think I have a really bad case of the stomach virus... I've drank green ginger tea but it didnt helped...
This all started to happen after having the stomach virus about 6 months ago. So far I have lost 30 pounds, I used to weigh about 190 now I weigh 160. I'm 18 yr old male. I have been feeling nauseous, with a weird feeling in my throat almost as if I have to vomit and abdominal pain. I've only vomited twice because of this. My general doctor prescribed me Prilosec thinking it could be acid reflux. The medicine didn't help or couldn't see a difference.
and after I threw up I felt ok until an hour later. I got flu like symptoms...chills, queasy stomach, fever...a little stomach pain and body aches.. I got really tired and slept most of the day. Later in the evening I started having diarrhea. The diarrhea got to be uncontrollable and I would be up that night every 2hrs it seemed and would almost not make it to the bathroom. By morning it got more controllable and I looked up remadies and started eating bananas and drinking Gator Aid.
