i have reflux and ibs but for thepast 2 weeks i have had a problem with the right hand side of my stomach i keep getting gripeing and crippling pain.
I visited the doctor who told me i have a hiatus hernia. He felt it. I am booked to some tests at the end of april. However I doubt that is the sole problem. Reading up the symptoms. I don't have them. My pain resembles the hiatus in that I get the bloated full feeling after even a small meal ( however not always, this comes and goes).
This attack wont go. I am in constant pain. Mostly on my right side high up, where I imagine my liver is.
For the last six months I have been having this burning, crampy pain in my stomach. It makes me feel like I want to vomit and belch. But mostly, it is a real bad burning pain.
This all started after I was exposed to my mother in law who has H.Pylori. Then, I started having a couple of drinks two nights a week ( either a couple of beers or a couple of Strawberry daiquiris). My stomach has always been very weak and bothersome to me anyhow.
Pretty much after every meal (they are usually not high in fat or large amounts) if feel unwell, almost a little nauseas. It helps if I drink a big glass of water right after I eat. Sometimes I get a little headache which disappears when the nausea goes away. I had a physical and my bloodsugar seems to be fine. What could cause this?
I never really thought it could be that since it is only a once in a while pain. Its not after every large meal, but it only happens after a large meal. There is no upset stomach, or fever either. I suppose I could get checked for them. My father in-law just had his gall bladder removed, but he was in such horrible pain for an entire weekend, and then sat in a hospital room for three days waiting for surgery. I just thought it would be much worse if it was something more serious.
I am currently 17 weeks pregnant. And I've had severe stomach pain for the past 3 days. I have my appointment in a week. So i don't know if I should go to the ER or just wait till my next appointment. The stomach pain is mainly after every meal I have so I can't even eat without being in pain. Help!
Peptic ulcer disease causes upper left quadrant pain that usually begins 2 hours after a meal. It gets better with over the counter antacids. Stomach flu can cause indigestion and abdominal discomfort. Viral gastroenteritis can lead to nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. The exact location of pain and other details will help in determining the accurate cause .Take light meals. Avoid spicy fried foods. If the symptoms are severe consult a gastroenterologist.

Im having the same issue. the pain hits with in seconds. not as bad when i drink.
I always thought I have had digestive issues because after a meal, I would feel my meal in my stomach 3 - 6 hours or more after. I began drinking soda to help relieve the discomforting feeling, and now switch to seltzer water to help me burp.
Does this mean I have digestive issues? I always thought that I had "slow" digestion because of the uncomfortable feeling I get after large meals. I dont get the uncomfortable feeling all the time, but it is common enough.
A few months ago, I posted a thread on this forum saying that after my breakfast I usually experience stomach pain. I went to the doctor to get it checked out and he said that I am very healthy and that everything is OK. He gave me some pills to take for a week and they made my problem go away. Furthermore, he sent some of my poop to the clinic to run some tests and they turned out fine.
Ever since then i will have a few days where i am ok then go days where i vomit after each meal. I feel fine beofre i eat i will be hungrey eat and less then 10 minutes after sometimes in the middle of eating i am darting to the restrom and vomitting. and i get a sharp pain right below my belly button about 2 inches to the left. I had liver gallbladder and all kinds of blood work done its normal and a ultra sound was normal. I have a gi apt soon but what could it be.
It does not even have to be a large meal. I think it has to do with the contents of the meal because it does not happen all of the time. It sometimes happens if I have just a glass of wine.
I don't doubt that it is harming my arteries because of the increased blood pressure which causes them to expand and over time may weaken the artery walls. I wish a cardiologist would read all of these postings and comment or do some research on it.
I currently also suffer with nausea , pain and sever stomach distention, pain up my bottom which i have been told are bowel spasms. I also at times find walking really painful and this can leave all the right side of my stomach tender to touch for a day or two after and thats while i am still taking the prucalopride. Will control of my bowel movements be that hard to control after my large bowel is removed?
Every time i eat a large meal i get a searing nerve pain at the tip of my left shoulder. It last for about 15 minutes and makes eating out a painful experience. The pain is almost like severe toothache so i am guessing is a nerve, is very debilitating and seems to be linked to the expansion of the stomach when you eat heartily. Any ideas what could be causing this.
My daughter has been sick for 2 years! First she just would feel ill after eating high fat/protein things. Now, everything she eats makes her sick. Once she puts something in her mouth, the nauseau hits within 30 seconds, followed by pain in the middle that radiates to the pancreas area and then to her back. She typically has to stop eating before she's finished because she begins gagging as if she will throw up if anything else goes down.
recently, i was diagnosed with.a bladder infection. I had been having debilitating stomach cramps, feeling like labor pain for the past few months now., with loose bowels and dizzy and weak spells, as though i am gonna pass out. The urologist just diagnoses me with a bladder infection on tuesday ,January 27, 2015. but did not get antibiotics until the next day for treatment. But I still do not feel any better on this second day of full treatment. My temperature is normal range 98.
Recently, (starting 3 days ago) whenever I eat a meal I get moderate to severe stomach pain, initially the pain was severe and laid me up the whole day. I took Peptobismol which took the edge off but only for a while. Since then when I eat about an hour later I get upper left pain that is aches and is crampy, no burning, but my stomach feels very bloated. This all goes away when my stomach is empty, no pain, bloating etc. I have not noticed a change in bowel habits.
