from last Tuesday it started with a few coughs, dry coughs, it was nothing, from Thursday it got worse my throat was itchy too, Friday I felt a little sick and cold, from Sunday my throat got sore and my nose went runny a bit, the soreness and runny nose was a little. I had the sore throat till last night and now I'm feeling I just want to sleep, I'm not fatigued. is this normal for common cold?

This is the 2nd or 3rd time i've had a little bump in the same spot near my lips, am I going to have this reoccur for the rest of my life? Everything started with a cold sore. So went to the doctor he gave me acyloir,cold sore went away in 2-3days. Then i started noticing little bumps around my mouth thought could cold sore. Gradually it started spreading on my chin, my mouth. Went to dermatologist doctor diagnosed me with perioral dermatitis.she prescribe some type of ointment and it made worse my mouth was extremely red,burning,and itchy. So i decided to go to different who prescribed me doxycylclie 100 mg 2x a day.

Hi Terri, So I get cold sores every once in a while, I had one a month and half ago, so i thought i was in the clear, but what do you know on Sunday I get one, and I'm supposed to go on a trip with my girl friend this weekend. Right now it looks like its in the healing stage, no more blisters just light scabbing. I've been using alcohol to dry it and keep it clean, also took some cold sore medicine for it. I feel like the alcohol has killed the virus that was present.

So I wake up the other day and have a very big, very painful cold sore on my lip. This cold sore is not the same as my other familiar friend that I have been getting very random visits from for the past 13 years; this new cold sore is huge, very painful and in a different spot. This "new" cold sore is on the opposite side of my face and is on the upper lip instead of the usual lower lip.

I use a humidifier at night. I've also used benadryl to help with the stuffy nose. That helped with most of my problems. Make sure you drink plenty of water too!

The next day my throat became scratchy and continued till the next day, then on wednesday i began with a small congested nose, and a dry cough. today, I have no sore throat, almost none congested nose, never had runny nose, but still have the cough, feel a little weak, and my eyes hurt a litlle.. Thursday evening I got a pretty bad sinus headache (in between my eyes, eyebrow, nose area) and my sore/raspy cough was getting worse. By Saturday morning I started to feel like I was getting a cold. Hi there, Recent IgG blood tests have shown that I'm negative for HSV1 and HSV2. I went on a date last night with a guy who gave me a wet sloppy kiss on my cheek, and also playfully gave sympathy kisses to these mosquito bites I had on my arm. He didn't have an active cold sore at the time, at least not that I noticed. I'm not sure if he even gets cold sores, but I don't want to ask him at this point.
