jpg This came up around my mouth a few days ago. Today I bought cream for it (5% w/w). I just want to confirm this is a cold sore? Anything else I should be doing about it? This is the 2nd or 3rd time i've had a little bump in the same spot near my lips, am I going to have this for the rest of my life?

I should add that this time I tried squeezing it because I hoped it was a zit.

Any othet ladies have a stopped up nose and feel like you have a cold? Am 35+4 and Is that normal to be congested?

I use a humidifier at night. I've also used benadryl to help with the stuffy nose. That helped with most of my problems. Make sure you drink plenty of water too!

The next day my throat became scratchy and continued till the next day, then on wednesday i began with a small congested nose, and a dry cough. today, I have no sore throat, almost none congested nose, never had runny nose, but still have the cough, feel a little weak, and my eyes hurt a litlle.. I can't tell from you photo if this is a simple pimple or a cold sore. But if it is a cold sore, and you get them recurrently, it would be highly unlikely that you would transfer this to a new location on your body because you have an established immune response to this particular virus (HSV 1, almost certainly). If people were able to transfer virus from one location on their body to another, we would see children all the time with genital herpes.

from last Tuesday it started with a few coughs, dry coughs, it was nothing, from Thursday it got worse my throat was itchy too, Friday I felt a little sick and cold, from Sunday my throat got sore and my nose went runny a bit, the soreness and runny nose was a little. Hi Terri, So I get cold sores every once in a while, I had one a month and half ago, so i thought i was in the clear, but what do you know on Sunday I get one, and I'm supposed to go on a trip with my girl friend this weekend. Right now it looks like its in the healing stage, no more blisters just light scabbing. I've been using alcohol to dry it and keep it clean, also took some cold sore medicine for it. I feel like the alcohol has killed the virus that was present.

So I wake up the other day and have a very big, very painful cold sore on my lip. This cold sore is not the same as my other familiar friend that I have been getting very random visits from for the past 13 years; this new cold sore is huge, very painful and in a different spot. This "new" cold sore is on the opposite side of my face and is on the upper lip instead of the usual lower lip.

Hmmm......in my opinion, this is a sinus issue, secondary to what is the question. Being that this has been going on for 4 months I would find it difficult to believe or say this is any "cold" or any other viral or bacterial infection unless you are experiencing reinfections. No physician's visit yet? If not, please do that.

I called my doc on Monday and she gave me a few meds I could take like Claritin D or Tylenol Cold.
