It said that it was biologically simpler for your muscles to convert the sugars in your body before doing the hard work of breaking down the fat into simple sugars for use. So, I'd say that there's not fat burning range nor cardio range. I found another article that really helped me.
Avatar f tn So I've done tons of research about stomach fat and the best way to burn it is by a balanced diet and by drinking a lot of water and engaging in both cardio and strength training, but is there anything else? i workout usually everyday, at the least 5 times a week, very rarely 4. I eat quite heathy, taking in a lot of fruits and vegetables and trying to watch my serving sizes and portions.
Avatar f tn You want to make sure you are getting a nice pump with a good heart rate to burn fat but still activate the muscle growth. I would suggest a warm up on the bike or treadmill at 60-80% effort for 5 minutes before and after the weight training to assist with getting your heart rate up and firing up your metabolism. Please note that this is purely from my experience and I am not Aware of your measurements or medical conditions.
Avatar f tn not only does it help with the toning, you build muscles too and we all know muscles burn more fat, so all the better. good luck. you've already lost 40 lb, you can lose another 40 or 50 or however many more. don't let all that hard work go to waste. keep it up, eat healthy and stay focus and positive. remember, slow and steady is the way to go. it's a lifestyle change and not a magic pill overnight success.

I don' want to build body....I just want to burn my stomach fat....actually its not fat...i don't know...what to say it....I have done every excrise i stomach is not getting in.... I know when I lose weight a lot of it comes from my face and arms first, then the stomach and thighs. When a friend of mine loses it she sees it in her chest and stomach first. I only started three days ago and my muscles are pretty sore but I don't care as long as they are going to work. I stretch out before and after each workout. I'm eating really healthy now (5 small meals a day), have upped my protein intake (chicken, fish, egg whites etc), lowered my fat intake and have cut all junk food, refined sugar and alcohol from my diet.

Avatar f tn I don't recommend any kind of restrictive carb diet as there is a danger you can put the weight on again. I realise this is not an answer you were hoping to read, I just wanted to make you aware of it. You cannot spot reduce fat. Fat will leave various body areas when it wants to. The stomach is the hardest part to remove fat from and usually the last when all other body areas have had fat removed from. Just keep doing what you are doing and I promise the fat will go.

My boyfriend had a thin runner's body when I started dating him, and he started working out when I mentioned I like muscular arms (knowing that if he was working out his arms he was going to get into a full workout, and it worked). He started this in about February, and it has been fun to watch how his body changes shape as he works it out. There are quick results and there are results that take longer.
Avatar f tn Swimming is awesome excersize! Honestly you can't spot-burn fat on your body. When it comes to cardio, as you lose weight you'll lose it all around, not just in one specific area. My advice is to keep at it swimming wise, swim VIGOROUSLY and you should be all set.

Thus you will be able to eat more without gaining weight and will burn off fat more efficiently. Comes to the point where you need to just accept that it will be easier, faster and healthier to lose the weight if you just exercise. So unless you have a good reason to not be exercising it would be a good time to start.
