I had harpies on my lips and everywhere in my mouth but after i got over it the bump keeps appairing in the side on my lip I don't know what it is. Can you help me?
This morning I felt a bit of tingling that may signify an oncoming cold sore, but I don’t have a sore at the moment.
Before I could stop her my 2 year old daughter jumped on me and kissed me on the lips.
I quickly washed her lips with warm water and a soapy cloth. Could that prevent infection in case i am shedding the virus?

Never had any symptoms of herpes or have had any outbreaks. Last night I had sex and used protection. The next morning I had a hard bump on the left lip of my vigina and both lips were swollen. Ive swelled before but the bump is new. It doesnt feel like a sore just a lump. Kinda worried and not sure if I should immediately take it to my gyno. Should I be worried?
Ive always gotten cold sores on my lips before and I think I just had cold sores on my nose. I went down on my parter and he also went down on me. Now I am worried that it could have spread. My nose didnt touch him or me, but we did kiss. If so when would it show, and does it always return on your genitals once it gets down there. If its HSV 1 does it always come back down below? I am so worried....please help!

A friend I've had sex with does have HSV-2. She has regular outbreaks, but according to her, in her genitals. She stated "when I was young" I had like a sore on my lips, but doesn't remember too clearly. About three months ago she had just one sore on her tongue, which went away in 3 days. Last year she tested twice and was told it's HSV-2.
I'm concerned as she was married for 8 years and her x-husband did have outbreak of genitals (probably HSV-2).
So I have fairly regular cold sore outbreaks on my lower lip (3-4x per year). I am on a daily antiviral treatment and my outbreaks went dormant for a year and a half and recently was five months between them. I have learned that sunburn / UV is a trigger for my outbreaks.
My question is, if I prevent UV exposure to my lips where the outbreaks occur is that enough to theoretically thwart the onset of outbreaks or is the research behind HSV and sun exposure any sort of sunburn anywhere?

He had a sore at the time. It was at the very corner of his lips and it was scabbed over. We did tap kiss several times and he wanted to French kiss me but I told him I didn't want to. Something about it felt too soon. His lips are bigger than mine so I can't even remember if my lips even touched any part of the sore. Nonetheless I'm still very worried.
Today is Wednesday and this happened on Friday.
if you have a history of cold sores, odds are that you have a false negative hsv1.
the only way to know if you have hsv2 orally would be to get your next cold sore cultured and typed. typically hsv2 doesn't reoccur very often when it's oral .
your hsv2 needs confirmed with a herpes WB at this point. 2 low positives doesn't mean it's your final answer unfortunately.
ve been getting cold sores on my lips now for roughly 5 years. Got them from kissing an ex girlfriend who had a sore and I thought it was just a cancre sore. Anyway I've been doing lots of reading online now trying to learn about this virus and what I need to do about it. Came across this website and it has introduced TONS of fear to me. I'm scared this will one day move from my lips to my eyes and this website has added even more fear.
They have various oils he can put on his lips that help keep outbreaks from happening as well. This stuff is great. I used it all the time. Finally, you may want to consider getting on a regular prescription of Famvir or Valtrex. This combination of supplements and prescription products keeps my outbreaks down to one or two outbreaks every six months or even less.
Hello, I usually get really bad fever blisters(coldsores) on my lips once/twice a year, is there any type of vitamin, medication, shot, I can take to stop it or prevent it from happening?
So I would need direct contact with her sore? She only gets them under her eye, not lips. Don't people shed from their lips and eyes regardless of where the infection is?
ve gotten better but about 5 days ago my lips started becoming sore at the corners. The following day I had bumps all over my lips and my lips were really swollen, red and chapped... No blisters, though. I immediately started taking garlic pills, bought Abreva, Carmex, and a Lysine ointment and have been using all these products at once.
The following day my lips were worse!! Extremely dry, bumpy, chapped, red, and swollen. I also noticed my inner vaginal lips were swollen.
s contracted in. That neans even if you are infected through the lips you can have future outbreaks on the lips, nose, cheeks...etc. the point is contracting it theough the cheeks is a real long shot. Again, don't stress as this is not a real world risk to you.
Having hsv1 oral or genital gives fantastic ptotection against getting hsv1 anywhere else on the body. It is rare that someone contracts lets say genital hsv1 when they have an oral infection. It doesn't take years.
I was told you can get herpes from a rimjob? And if so, would the recurrent outbreaks be on the rectum or on the penis instead?

Hello, I currently have a cold sore and foolishly completely forgot and kissed my partner twice on the buttock and now I am worried I will give them herpes there. They do not have hsv1 any help would be much appreciated.
2 yrs ago I was diagnosed with exczema on my lips and prescribed steroid cream. After using it for a short period of time I noticed that my lips started to buzz as if a cold sore was coming and thru have become so sensitive and wrinkled :( it's v depressing. I can't go in the sun at all as I develop instant multiple cold sores even with 100spf. I use lip balms all the time but I'm afraid to kiss my husband and in constant anxiety over possibly infecting him with hsv1.
Six or seven months ago I started to get a very painful rash on my lips. It begins as sore tiny bumps. After a day the bumps become very raw, and with in the next few days they become what I would describe as scaly or scabby. Often, the skin around my lips itches, but no rash anywhere but my lips. During the worst out breaks the little bumps ooze a clear fluid. This rash is quite painful, causing discomfort when talking and pain when eating.
