Common Questions and Answers about Sonata op. 8 no. 13

sonata

Avatar m tn I've searched the web and here and no really good answer. I'm taking a Sonata about 3 or 4 oclock in the morning. It does cause some jitters next day. Now I've started Sam-e and a Super Beta Complex and the Jitters are unbearable. I take some Xanax and it helps some. I can't take much and still function. The question is ... Is it the Sam-e or the Super B Complex causing the extreme jitters or anxiety?
Avatar m tn Hello, I am in southern W.V., my primary doctor of 13 years retired from his practice, I am physically disabled. I have chronic hep c, diagnosed over a decade and a half ago. I have Ostheo Arthritus, of which my knee has been replaced, total hysterectomy, the list is long. My hep c is not contracted from iv use. I have been on several blood pressure medicines, hydrochlorthiazide, vicoprofen, Xanax, motrin 800, for those 13 years.
Avatar n tn ) I continue to push my NS and NL about my complaints and they both say nothing is wrong. All of my post op scans show no issues. BUT - still i have all of these complaints, episodes, symptoms.....call em what you want, they are clearly there and there is clearly something they both are missing. SOOOOO- we are headed to Johns Hopkins for their help. Maybe another set of more experienced eyes can give me some more guidance and answer my questions.
Avatar f tn Hi guys, I'm new to this forum. Long story short I was diagnosed with chairi malformation type 1 with a herniation of 16mm in feb '13. Got opinions off 2 neurosurgeons and had surgery the 2nd of may '13 so I'm 9 days post op. I spent 8 days in hospital was very sick with the most horrific headaches post op, surgeon order a ct scan to make sure everything was ok. But suffered really bad then from nausea and vomiting. Today is the first day I could eat small amounts.
Avatar m tn Anyway, when I took it to the pharmacy, all of the medications was controlled substances, percocet, sonata, and diclofenac. I was shcoked but the pharmacist tech already scanned it and I trust the FNP. I always go to this same pharmacy and never had a problem filling my prescriptions and my disabled problem. The pharmacist was even willing to fill the diclofenac at the time. I decline and told her I would pick them up Monday when all 3 were ready and I this didn't fill right.
Avatar f tn I suffered thru severe insomnia 60wks+.of tx. Nothing seemed to help. My advice is go with it , don`t try to fight it it only makes it harder to find some sleep. i used to lay around for hours with my eyes shut but not sleeping and therefore never getting that well rested feel. From time to time after a few nights of zero sleep I took a Valium (Diazepam) and that knocked me out . It only worked when I was already exhausted from not sleeping.

Avatar n tn I had procedure done Nov 16 for post menopausal bleed. Adder the procedure, there was very little bleeding initially. I even stopped wearing a pad. Then I started a little bleed enough. The last 2 days it has increased significantly. I've changed my pad about 3 times today. I was supposed to see a gyn for post op follow-up but my gyn who did the procedure cancelled it. She didn't want me to see another doctor even though she won't be available until Dec 13 on vacation.
2034486 tn?1329479686 I am 8 days post op, I have had hot flashes now for 5 days and it's all day long,. Have to sit in front of fan all day and sleep with it all night, is this normal? A friend told me it was the pain meds causing this.. I disagree since I am still having them and haven't taken anythign for pain in a cpl days. I had everything removed besides the cervix. I am not feeling so much discomfort anymore around the incision sight.
Avatar f tn I have had two surgeries to partially removed medial meniscal tears - Nov 2015 was a parrot beak tear and October 2016 it was a complete tear. I am 8 weeks post-op and after a very simple slip I have pain back in my knee as it was before with both tears! Is it possible I've torn it again? And is recurrent tears 'normal' one you start removing pieces? It seems too crazy that a simple slip could tear it so easy.
Avatar f tn My doc gave me Seroquel and it works great, have been on it for about 7-8 years. I do not take it every night because of the weight gain. I also take over the counter stuff when I dont take my seroquel. I was diagnosed with Arnold Chiari malformation about 3 years and had surgery to help treat it. I get really bad migraines from my chiari, especially if i cant get enough of sleep. It is a struggle. Are there any other meds that any of you take that have helped you in the long term??
Avatar n tn You will continue to have periods of fatigue until at least 8 weeks out. Continue to take it easy as overdoing it will put you back. Follow the rules of no lifting or twisting until the 8 week point. Your period will be rather wonky until you've had a few cycles. It will get better.
Avatar m tn The pain that drives me nuts is the pain in my temples when I cough. They said I handled the surgery great. No vommiting or nausea.
Avatar m tn Hi, Wanted to start off saying that after surgery everything was doing fine considering the surgery. (decompression as well as laminectomy of the 1st and 2nd vertebra). Approx 4 months post op I started get dizzy again if I moved around to much, didn't think much of it, I figured it would go away after awhile. Well I'm now 8 months post op and nothing has gotten better, in fact I feel it has gotten worse.
Avatar f tn ( so im 8 weeks no baby bump. I still have a 6 pack. I dont understand.
Avatar f tn No ultrasound at my 8 week appointment. I have to wait until 13 weeks. I'm pretty sad. My husband took off work and all I did was a pee teat, blood work, and a pap!
Avatar f tn I had cataract surgery on 3/13/13 on my left eye. I followed instructions, did my 1 day, then 1 week follow up and everything was fine. Now, for the past 3-4 days I am noticing a grayish movable haze in that eye. I blink and can see it float or reposition itself. I have no pain or tearing...nothing. Should I wait it out or call my opthamologist?

137307 tn?1330973997 tethered cord?...these 2 issues can cause post op issues.... and ICP is something that can develop post op...so u deff have to get checked and rule these out. Again, having some symptoms flare up during recovery is normal...and u have to look at what u r doing on a daily basis....u may be doing too much for the point in time u r in ur recovery....do not go by a time line a Dr give u, LISTEN TO UR BODY!! Only u can know when u r ready for the next phase in recovery....
Avatar f tn I am depressed over this as well as postpartum issues and have just been put on Celexa for anxiety and depression as well as Sonata for sleep by a recommended psychiatrist. The Sonata is too short-acthing though. I called the doc on call but he does not want to prescribe anything stronger until tomorrow, if adding melatonin and/or benadryl does not help. I am currently wearing a holter monitor and have also worn en event monitor recently.
147426 tn?1317265632 s still up in Seattle with my neice that has had a hemorrhage into her post-op knee. It is also infected. She ahs been using ice to control the pain and the skin over the knee has frostbite. She has lost so much blood that they had to transfuse her two units yesterday.
1645944 tn?1305243337 Is sex a post-op no-no? I've tried to find it as a valsalva activity, or sort out whether or not it's considered straining. The question doesnt present itself during Dr clinic hours. So if there is a headache afterwards, (instead of the proverbial before), could that mean it's too soon?
Avatar f tn Hi ladies, im 13 weeks pregnant and still no bump. Before pregnant I weighed 8 & a half stone and a uk size 8/10 Ive definitely gained weight as clothes are tight. I know its still early days just curious as when everyone else started seeing a bump?
