I've searched the web and here and no really good answer. I'm taking a Sonata about 3 or 4 oclock in the morning. It does cause some jitters next day. Now I've started Sam-e and a Super Beta Complex and the Jitters are unbearable. I take some Xanax and it helps some. I can't take much and still function.
The question is ... Is it the Sam-e or the Super B Complex causing the extreme jitters or anxiety?
Anyway, when I took it to the pharmacy, all of the medications was controlled substances, percocet, sonata, and diclofenac. I was shcoked but the pharmacist tech already scanned it and I trust the FNP. I always go to this same pharmacy and never had a problem filling my prescriptions and my disabled problem. The pharmacist was even willing to fill the diclofenac at the time. I decline and told her I would pick them up Monday when all 3 were ready and I this didn't fill right.
I'm also at week 14. I have no problem sleeping, except I get restless leg syndrome the night after my peg injection.
But I have the opposite problem - I want more sleep. Since starting treatment, I've have a problem getting up in the morning. No matter how early I go to bed, I want to sleep another hour or two every morning.
Interesting how treatment effects us in different ways.
Anyway I have been with this replaced doctor for a yr and a half, I had been explaining to him that 2 vicaprofen in a 24 hour period is not sufficient he by the way had taken me off the motrin and changed my Xanax to Ativan. I also have been on sonata 10 mg for all these yrs. I was given a urine test which is pretty normal, before I took it I told him that there would prob. not be hydrocodone in it as we had been discussing that I needed more pain relief.
I have a real problem with insomnia I went to the doctor last week and got Sonata for sleep and I asked for clonadine because I knew that I would be out of pills this week and would be having w/d sysptoms. He did not want to give me that he gave me klonapin instead.. I have not told him I have a problem with pills. The sonata is not working for my insomnia so I have made an another appt to see him this week to see if I can get the clonadine.
in Tylenol PM), 2 ounces of Nyquil, one Lunesta or Sonata (whichever I can lay hands upon), and one 1 mg Xanax (but not every night, to avoid addiction). When I can take all of it, ninety five percent of the time I sleep within an hour or an hour and a half. Without the xanax it still works about half of the time.
It is winter and there is snow on the ground but I was comfortably warm. I have no trouble falling asleep so I was out in no time. I woke 2 hours later to almost pitch darkness and no clock! At first I didn't know if I could go back to sleep but I tried my favorite of your suggestions...I started saying the Lord's Prayer over and over. And soon I drifted off to sleep. I woke up 2 hours later with a grin on my face realizing I had slept for 4 hours total.
Have you tried Ambien or Sonata? I take Ambien (have been on it for about 4 years) - some nights it works well and others it's like I've taken a tic tac - but there are nights when nothing short of getting hit over the head with a hammer is going to help me sleep! I used to be on the CR version of the Ambien, until my insurance decided it wasn't going to cover that formula any longer, so now I'm back to the 10mg dose.
Weirdly he's into the classics. Beethoven and Mozart. Things like that. Moonlight sonata gets him real still and he doesn't move. When its over he kicks like crazy till I put it back on. Anything played on a piano or violin seems to sooth him. He also loves when I sing to him. Could be anything.
my dr just put me on sonata for sleep and i am being treated for add w/ritalin,lamictal for bpd,wellbrutrin depression, and nerourotin for nerve pain and a few days ago i started grinding my teeth together, looks like i am chewing gum all the time and i also am making grunting sounds.
I am depressed over this as well as postpartum issues and have just been put on Celexa for anxiety and depression as well as Sonata for sleep by a recommended psychiatrist. The Sonata is too short-acthing though. I called the doc on call but he does not want to prescribe anything stronger until tomorrow, if adding melatonin and/or benadryl does not help.
I am currently wearing a holter monitor and have also worn en event monitor recently.
It seems that every time I stop taking ambien for a few days and I'm feeling side effects. When I wake up my head is killing me, my kidneys are killing me, and I can't stop sudden movement. I have tried to stop several times though my doctors and with therapy but its like nothing works. I try to stick with it but if I have to deal with worst side effects. I can't believe I've been in this mess since '09 and I'm taking too many to even my prescriptions out.
Hi.. I'm 14 weeks and for the past month I have had absolutely no appetite. I didn't really think about it in depth so I didn't mention it to my doctor and don't have another appointment for a month. My uterus is already measuring kind of small.. so I don't want my eating habits to affect the baby any more than it has. Is there anything I can do to increase my appetite or get more nutrients.. are protein shakes okay to drink? Like ensure or muscle milk?
You cannot assume that everything is anxiety. So it sounds like you had some kind of medical work up. Did you go to the ER that day? What were you told?
Hi while I was in treatment I took ambien and it got me maybe 3 hours at most. I had lot trouble sleeping and if I did sleep it was for very short periods of time. I took ambein for the last 4 months of my treatment. when I finished I took 1/2 pill till it was gone. maybe for a week with no addition but everyone is different. I took my rib at around 3 pm in afternoon but that did not seem to help either.
