Avatar f tn Has anyone had any luck on the Slim-Fast diet? I just started it, I need to lose around 30lbs.
Avatar f tn Is it ok to drink slim fast while pregnant? I have gained too much weight so far. I started out tiny and now my mid section is huge! I'm not looking to lose weight but eating hurts. My lower back is in excruciating pain and I know it's from the weight gain and due to my belly sticking so far out. I'm only 25 weeks pregnant and I feel the only option is to eat tiny meals to keep up my energy because after I eat my stomach feels so tight b it just hurts.
Avatar n tn I just got my weekly checkup and there saying i have high blood pressure. What can i do to change that and make it normal?
Avatar f tn I would personally look into the natural ways of doing this, at least research them, as medication for high blood pressure, as with so much medication, can have consequences that are as bad as the high blood pressure, such as pulmonary problems. Again, as always, we have to do our homework and then make a choice.
Avatar f tn hi has any one done the slim fast diet----(milkshakes) and lost weight. How lond could u go on for? I'm planning to go on it but will do only one shake for dinner and have breakfast and lunch as normal.

Avatar m tn I have high blood pressure for a awhile now.. My latest test at the doctors was 150/100.. My doctor didn't say anything.. Should I go back to the doctors for more BP tests say once every 2 weeks? or is it one of those things that come and go.. If the doc does eventually put me on meds what should I know?
Avatar n tn No past family history of high blood pressure/heart disease. My heart is also beating rapidly between 85-95 bpm, and any slightly strenuous activity such as a brisk walk from school raises it immensely to around 110-120. I DO NOT feel light headed, tired, or anything really. I feel fine, no shortness of breath, nothing.
Avatar f tn I have pretty high blood pressure. Wanting to know if anyone has advice on how to help lower it. I haven't been adding salt to things or drinking coffee.
Avatar f tn Particularly if you were in pain, the stress of the situation could cause a mild spike in your blood pressure. And the elevated blood pressure would only be significant if it were to recur and become chronic.
Avatar m tn Im a 44year old Male 6'2'' 235lb with high blood pressure can I lower it with weight loss what food should I eat?

11909894 tn?1424448742 Every other prenatal appointment I have been to, I have had high blood pressure. I dont have a regular doctor but I have midwives. Every appointment I have had a different midwife as to meet all of them before delivery to become familiar. I have been tested twice and had high blood sugar each both time before I was recommended a gestational diabetes test, I then had low blood sugar for the 12 hr fast.
Avatar n tn Hello girls, I'm a mother of one already and I had a smooth pregnancy my first time around. I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant now with high blood pressure omg I'm freaking. Anyone have suggestions on how to lower it???? Really worried....
Avatar f tn The blood pressure and pulse rate are both slightly high. What it means depends on the circumstances. I wouldn't think anything of it unless there is a persistent pattern of high blood pressure and/or fast pulse rate while you are calm and you have been sitting still for at least a few minutes. If it was a one-time thing, and especially if you happened to be excited or upset at the time, then it's no big deal.
Avatar f tn You systolic (top number) is alittle high your diastolic is low. And heart is fast for resting. Perfect BP is considered 115/75 and normal range for heart rate in an adult is 60-100 bpm.
646105 tn?1223653476 I am tracking my own blood pressure three times a day and I watch my blood pressure spike about 2-3 hours after taking the Synthroid and go to normal/low by late in the day. I am going off it slowly because going off it too quickly can cause some serious issues with your heart.
Avatar m tn Some people running will have very high blood pressure and a high heart rate. Some will have normal blood pressure and high heart rate. Some will have normal heart rate and lower blood pressure. Our bodies are not all the same and a lot of it has to do with fitness. If I do star jumps, it takes around 30 seconds for my heart to reach 100bpm. It takes my 15 year old sons 5 seconds. After 5 mins, my heart is at 140. My sons is at 100 after 15 mins.
Avatar n tn I had a TT in december and i just posted on board yesterday pertaining to "fast" heartrate and high blood pressure. I have been on bp med's for about 4-5 years now and my pressure fluctuate's min by min....I was relaxing yesterday and stood up to walk to another room and i felt my heart beating extremely fast and i felt my pulse...(it was faster than a baby's heart beat) and of course i got nervous because it was out of the blue.
Avatar n tn Mine still around 100/60 so far, but I also drink a lot of water and have a fairly high sodium diet to begin with due to having the issue before pregnancy. Most of what I've heard always revolved around high blood pressure. Thanks--it's nice to know I'm not the only one.
Avatar m tn I'm sorry to hear you're having such a difficult time. Let me start off by saying that K2, while technically legal currently in most states, can still be dangerous. The side effects of this "drug" concoction are still unknown and I would strongly advise you to stop using it altogether. As for your palpitations, it is hard to say what these were caused by.
Avatar n tn I then had an echocardiogram, which they said the results were normal for someone with an elevated blood pressure (but they didn't explainn what that meant). My blood pressure had dropped to 110/70 at a subsequent visit a few weeks ago, and they did more bloodwork which was ok. However, over the last several days my heart has been racing like crazy (I've even had some very very mild chest pain when my heart was racing). This doesn't happen all the time, only occassionally.
Avatar n tn Even though my blood pressure was high but no the high, because untreated caused my mitral valve regurgitation and left ventricular hypertrophy. If this conitnues please do see a doctor.
