I'm not sure I understand "I thought I got something from a jacuzzi", unless that's werhe you had the extramarital sexual exposure. You can't catch a urinary infection from being in a spa. Although you don't describe the penile skin condition as a rash, it sounds like that's what you have. Most penile rashes are not due to STD.
We took her back to the doctors on Thursday and they started her on Keflex and Benadryl cream. Now the rash in some places is taking on a purplish look and she now has the rash on her left palm of her hand which is really itchy but she cries when she scratches it saying it really hurts.
We are at a complete loss here with her and don't know what to do, currently we are using Baby Aveeno Lotion along with Benedryl cream, Keflex 4 times a day, Claritin, prednisone is done.

I had a terrible reaction. I had very large raised hives that started on the tops of my thighs, inside my arms and up my neck. My eyes were swollen and breathing became a task. I double dosed benendryl and went to ER.
ve had for 2 months (this is my 3rd antibiotic in the last 2 months) and I have developed a very red rash starting right below the opening of my vagina, the skin beside it(kinda the start of my ver inner butt cheek), all the way up to my anus. The rash is itchy and sore (esp on my anus). It looks like a severe diaper rash. I've seen this type of rash on a friends child who had an external yeast infection. Is this possible that this is what I have?

Back in 2015 I had a one night stand with someone. 5 days later I got a pimple of some sort on my penis. Well I went to test for all stds and I was all good. I got back with my girlfriend 3 months after that and I thought I was all good. Well 2 months after we got back together I noticed a cluster of blisters on my penis. Well I went that day and I got another full std panel. Everything was good except hsv2 which I got and to this day I still test positive (have had 5 tests done).
I took 2 Keflex for a minor infection on my finger, that would not go away. I reacted with severe itching/rash the first night. Stopped taking it. I took 1/2 benedryl each time I broke out in rash again - initially several times daily. That was three weeks ago. I am still reacting daily. Night is worse and I sometimes take a whole (25mg) benedryl. How can I get this reaction to stop?
The likelihood that you got syphilis from the exposure you describe is most unlikely. You were protected and condoms prevent syphilis transmission. In addition, the lesion you describe really does not sound like a primary syphilis lesion. Thus, form the outset, I would predict with confidence that your syphilis blood test will be negative.

This was on day 8 of 10 on Bactrim. The doctor switched me to Keflex, and this time, that same day I got another rash all over my body. Then, she gave me a cream call Muciprocin, but i've been using it for over a week and see no improvement, although no rashes.
Has this happened to anyone? Are there other antibiotics out there? Is this an allergic reaction, or is my immune system being compromised and therefore allowing other things to happen?
Well, I have been to 2 different dermatologists and to the ER to hopefully get a diagnosis for my skin problem, but to this day no one can identify what is wrong with me. One doctor suggested pityriasis rosea, but the other doctors I saw said that my rash didn't follow that pattern. I had a CBC done, where the results didn't seem to be particularly alarming to anyone who saw them (elevated WBC, high granulocyte count, low lymphocytes).
Now i havent had outbreaks im doing good I been on 500mg valtrex and i get a rash on hands as soon as I come off valtrex the rash is gone. Now i stopped taking valtrex and i get a mild pain in armpits after i shave a week ago and had a lump on my right arm almost sure it is lymph node from what im reading in the internet. The lump is 1cm not big at all but it hurts.

I also will get one 'hive' if elastic is rubbing on my skin or a tag on a shirt is hard or poking me. I have anxiety quite bad at times and take Klonopin for that. After abdominal surgery, I used bacitracin with zinc on the incision sites. That and the bandages caused a rash and infection. It cleared up the rash infection, but my skin is "stained" pinkish-red where the rashes were The doctor said it should lighten back to my normal skin color in a few weeks or months. That seems like a long time. I am using an OTC hydrocortisone cream 2x/day.
I started feeling very dizzy after taking 500 mg Keflex four times a day for six days to treat a skin infection. I developed the low grade fever on the seventh day. I haven't felt as dizzy since I've been off the Keflex but the fever still makes me slightly tired.
Is this something I should be worried about?
t urinate well and the tip was extremely painful. Could it be Chlamydial Urethrtis? Over 1 month Later? They put me on Keflex because they think it seems to be a skin infection. I need to make sure but these Doctors at Kaiser are Useless. They have mis-diagnosed me before. If I do have Clyamydial Urethritis, will Keflex even help the issue?
anyway, as i was saying, the red rash and burning falls directly into a yeast infection type of skin condition (so far as i can tell, based on internet research), and the second dermatologist agreed with as much that it was very likely a yeast-induced infection. there aren't really any other conditions that seem to fit my symptoms. but everything i've read indicates that yeast infections - while they may be chronic - are easy enough to get rid of.
as it healed it formed roundish circles where it would be smooth skin with a couple of bumps surrounded by a raised bumpy sometimes scaly red border. when the rash was gone the skin would be raised and whiteish. becase it would come and go we began to get worried, we also noticed that the rash was not just on his forehead but also on his cheeks and temples. last month noticed that it was taking longer to heal then before so we went back to the derm. she said stop medication, and just lotion.
couple of days later leaves holes in skin with hard painful centers. had this about 8 weeks now. if the areas heal they leave purplish hard scars? tried antifungal creams, bleach, keflex, and vinegar. this came about after exposure( i feel ) to poison sumac. doesnt take the typical pattern for ringworms. havent been outside state of tennessee this year.
hi i have a question, ive heard that antibiotics kill off the good bacteria, since may of this year i have been on keflex Twice, Cipro Twice, Doxycycline Twice, Bactrim Twice, Azthromycin Twice and have 3 rocephin shots. now thats alot of antibiotics, and i have noticed that i have some intertrigo yeast, under my stomach and in my crotch and scrotum area. is the antibiotics why?
I just got over mono, my second flare in 6 months. Unless they do the full test they can't accurately diagnose mono because they have to differentiate between current active infection and past infection. 99 percent of people have the Eppstein Barr virus that causes mono but only a percentage actually get mono. I did get mono and did have that definitive test to prove it. I did not get a bad sore throat, a very mild ignorable sore throat which didn't last long at all.
