Avatar f tn Hub is starting week eight of the triple with Incivek, and has had trouble with the anxiety, mental roller coaster etc since the beginning. He had similar problems when he treated with riba/pegasys in 2009, so not sure if the incivek is magnifying the side effects or that he's just older and the treatment is so rigorous. He really wanted to avoid using an ssri if possible, and was on wellbutrin, then added ativan for acute anxiety.
612551 tn?1450022175 Happily, no serious side effects but the fatigue is also present due to bereavement/grief struggle and that may the main driver for fatigue, Sertraline may eventually reduce that depression-type symptom, fatigue. Welcome any experience on how long it took to notice: 1) benefit, 2) decrease in side effects. Yes, I can search the web but look form the personal touch of a living patient telling of their experience.
Avatar m tn I have recently started sertraline for anxiety and depression, at the same time found I am borderline diabetic. My average level of glucose reading is 154. Can sertraline have any effect on the pancreas?

Avatar m tn I'm a 30yr old male. I was on Sertraline approx 10 years ago for depression and it seemed to work until a crash. For one reason or another over the years, my treatment has changed several times. It is 2011 and i have found my way back to sertraline. I am currently taking 10mg of buspirone 2x day and 15mg of mirtazapine for major depression and generalized anxiety. I have been feeling constantly tired, apathetic and despondent.
Avatar f tn The best is which one you metabolize better and that works best for you. If you want it for as-needed relief, I would say klonopin isn't as good because it takes longer to work, though it does work longer as well. Klonopin is usually dosed regularly every day, but they don't tell you, of course, that makes it addictive. Never told me. Safer to take them as needed, and for that purpose I'm not sure klonopin is the best because of the time it takes to work.
Avatar n tn To find a well informed answer to your query about the Sertraline-Propranolol combination, you need to look for information/evidence according to the hierarchy. A systematic review (a review of a number of studies exploring the same issue) is considered the best as far as strength of evidence is concerned. Clinicians' experience, case reports and non-journal articles are lower level sources of evidence.

Avatar m tn You have been prescribed Sertraline for mood swings and also it is working well for you, your correlation of using Sertraline and getting migraines might be ok, but it is always better to discuss with the doctor who prescribed the drug about its possible side effects and a substitute thereon. You might consult a migraine specialist also to get an evaluation and update on drug use. Try relaxation techniques to decrease stress. Keep posting your views. Take care.
Avatar f tn Meds work differently for different people. You will likely get a better response from your pharmacist who sees many people taking these meds or the person who prescribed these meds since anecdotal evidence from each person here will not likely apply to your body.
Avatar f tn I am currently taking sertraline for mood swings and have been taking it for about 5 years. I also have recently been put on topamax for migraines. I have read about all this wonderful weight loss. If anything I have gained. Could these 2 medicines together be holding me back from losing> I would like to go off of the sertraline.
Avatar f tn Currently additionally troubled with palpitations over the last several months, coupled with increased anxiety...new PCP wants to increase Sertraline from 100 to 150 mg for the anxiety... literature suggests that Sertraline interferes with thyroid Meds. Also taking several supplements, and Cozaar; and Ambien for sleep. Am concerned that what I am taking, or increasing anything, will cause further interference with getting stabilized.
