Seroquel anger

Common Questions and Answers about Seroquel anger

seroquel

874521 tn?1424116797 The only pills I see suitable for BP pts are: lamictal+seroquel. I have many reasons for this although i didn't try this combination because i want to exhaust all other possibilities. The reason why i see they are the ONLY logical meds is that depression is the major issue in BP not mania (the latter easily extinguished by AP's) but it's depression which is responsible for the acknowledged 20% mortality in BP whether in BP1 or 2 especially the latter very pronounced.
Avatar f tn Seroquel and epilim are very good medications for mania, anger, mood swings and psychosis. There are indeed others as lindahand says, though - lots of others. Seroquel and epilim are usually the ones they try you with first (or lithium instead of epilim). Seroquel is an anti-psychotic (also prescribed for anger and mood problems) and epilim is an anti-convulsant (also prescribed as a mood stabiliser). But talking therapy is as important as drugs if not more so, in such situations as these.
Avatar m tn I think taking the Seroquel will keep you calm and mellow. If you start to feel the anger coming again call your doctor to maybe up your dose. Stay away from sugar as that can cause people to get violent. Have you ever had a head injury? Sometimes there can be a brain injury that causes people to become violent. Talking to a therapist helps to relieve alot of anger issues as they teach us how to change our thinking patterns. I would highly recommend that for you.
1100992 tn?1262357216 Adel is right, before I took seroquel and I was just on mood stabiliser I used to 'flip out' when things would occasionally start speeding out of control and anyone who was in my path would get it, wherever I was. I would end up shaking and crying. Luckily it was so unlike me that it was obvious to those who knew me that it was my illness. Seroquel took care of this, and a lot of other symptoms at the same time.
625892 tn?1245963714 Yes monkeyc, seroquel is usually given alongside a mood stabilizer such as lithium/depakote etc. Seroquel is an anti-psychotic and apparently very good for anger - I was put on seroquel alongside depakote, although I am not on either of those now, I am yet to find the combination that suits me. May be worth discussing with your doc dianachinery.
809366 tn?1238749581 I didn't have bad anger issues until I was put on some stabilizers, and then it came out more because the my wild-hyperactive side of my manic stages were suppressed. Unfortunately the anger wasn't. My doc put me on Celexa for them, and for the anxiety. Over the past 12 years I've been taken off of it and then put right back on it at least 3 times [all with diff.docs].
563541 tn?1257877567 My sub doc gave me Seroquel. He said it was for bi-polar, but he gave it to me at 50mgs. for sleep and it really helped me sleep, just a bite out of one at night. He also said that it would linger or last through the day to help with the anxiety/depression. I don't think that has worked as I'm still a basket case. jk...
Avatar n tn i have anxiety, depression, Bipolar disorder and anger issues. i get so mad sometimes and lose controll. its not even funny. i break things around me and i try to hurt myself... i want to go on another medication for anger problems but i dont think its healthy to be on so many medications at once. what should i do?
Avatar f tn Our son is taking Seroquel XR 300 mg strength once per day - 4 weeks now - he had his first psychosis one month ago- he often displays sever anger at home. What should we do ? He lives else where so we typically only see him once per day .....10 to 15 minutes at a time when he comes home. We would like to help him.
459981 tn?1212193981 Though I have not taken it Seroquel is supposed to be good for managing the anger and irritability that often accompanies bipolar.
11041895 tn?1415038678 I've had that problem as well. I'm on Lamictal and Seroquel, and since I started the Seroquel I've been having more severe mood swings than usual--a couple of weeks ago I broke down into tears and sobbed for 2 hours because I was watching my favorite TV show and it made me remember something upsetting. My doctor seemed to think that the Lamictal was more of the problem, however, and upped my Seroquel dosage. How long have you been taking the medications?
Avatar f tn I have been taking a number of medications since I turned 21 in 2008, the first being Prozac, Adderall, and Seroquel. I was only prescribed Seroquel for as long as my doctor wanted to "observe possible Bipolar symptoms".... after about 3 months he took me off Seroquel. After years of continued difficulty with bouts of depression, anger/irritability, sleep, I saw a new doctor in 2015 who prescribed Abilify 5mg along with Adderall.
Avatar f tn What meds are you on? How old are you? I do have some pretty bad anger and some pretty intrusive evil thoughts at times. I don't feed them and I have gotten use to the fact that they are going to happen. I am not afraid that I will carry them out anymore. It is part of it. Try to think of something else when it happens. You have to rationalize through it and think of what the consequences would literally be. Stay strong and come back here to talk when you need to.
Avatar f tn I have been taking Depakote and Seroquel Xr since October 2010 and I actually quite like them LOL after being on so many mood stabilisers and antipsychotics. In May the Seroquel was increased from 300mg to 400mg as I was becoming very irritable and unable to cope with small amounts of stress without flying into a rage and then being left with lots of tears of guilt about being so nasty. I had also noticed that my sleep was getting less and less as the Seroquel wasn't making me as drowsy.
Avatar f tn I was put on Lamictal 100mg 2 times daily,,Seroquel 300mg at bedtime and Cymbalta 60mg daily. The last week and a half Ive been in a crappy mood,,wanting to sleep all the time and just feel like I have no energy. Everything sets me off and Im getting angry and bitter again. I was doing sooo well on these meds. I have gained weight from the seroquel and that weighs on me literally. Is this what the hypomania phase is? How long does it last?
Avatar m tn Pills/medicines: Seroquel (to improve sleep and treat anxiety) , Lamictal (to avoid abnormal the electrical discharges within the brain) Alternative therapies: (must be combined with the medicines): Acupuncture (to improve blood circulation and rebalance the energy), Osteopath (to unlock blood circulation especially at the abdomen and spine levels) Anger Management (breath exercises as in yoga just google them, sport like boxing) Neuronal programming.
Avatar f tn i am experiencing extreme anxiety, sleeplessness, feeling cold, anger, seeing dead people in my sleep, nausea, very little appetite, some shakineness. as each day progresses it seems the symptoms become more pronounced. i was put on 400mg of this drug on 1/3/08 after i had brain surgery and been having seizures, i have not had any siezures at this time. is this normal? my neurologist began cutting me back on monday by 100mg every two weeks. help!!!
Avatar n tn Are you or have your seen your child experience unusual and unreasonable bursts of anger. My daughter in high school would have explosive bursts of anger way out of proportion to a situation. It would make my head spin. Now, we are having so much trouble getting her to follow thru with plans....This AM she needed me to find the juice before she could make an appt with an prospective employer. So it was me who blew my cork... So...is anger and apathy...
1039200 tn?1314912008 s strange is that when I am on 300mg of Seroquel I get really angry. I looked up Seroquel induced anger and there are a lot of people that get that.
Avatar f tn I started taking Wellbutrin a month a ago. My life has been a rollercoaster since. I'm at my wits end. Has anyone experienced anger outburts after taking Wellbutrin. What has been your best combination of medicines to take for Bipolar? Has anyone been on medicines for a long period of time and been stabilized with this disease? I'm looking fo hope here. I am so frustrated.
Avatar f tn I read that fainting is one possible side effect of Risperdal. what exactly were you feeling before you were hospitalized? what do you mean with "out of control" ? why did you lose control what was the reason of your anger if anger was the problem? did you have any physical symptoms?
Avatar f tn -s With the depakote and seroquel these are 2 meds that are supposed to help with irritability and anger which is why I'm looking outside the "box" for this. Are you on any AD's alongside these. I for one experienced a dramatic switch to irritability and physical anger when I was on an AD.
