I always let her listen to the nursery rhymes. Soft stuff.

Get a bowel or something similar Fill it up with rice & small safety pins. Blind fold some one and have then try to take out the safety pins from the rice. The person with the most wins. Have a bag of diapers give every one a diaper and a Marker and have them write something silly on the outside like "that's gonna be a stinky one" So when you change diapers at night you get a laugh instead of being mad waking up every two hours :p Your favorite saying gets a prize.

Encourage him to speak, applaud his words, praise him, pretend you do not understand sign language, show flash cards and encourage him to verbally identify, play nursery rhymes and sing them with him, and may be let him be around his age children for a few hours everyday (say in a pre-nursery). I go into the book store and there's so many to choose from....We already have "Goodnight Moon" and a book of nursery rhymes but I want some ideas on some other things to get :-) Any suggestions?

finish nursery rhymes...give one phrase of a nursery rhyme and have them fill in the next phrase. most correct gets a prize. gift bingo. print out bingo cards and have them write gifts they think you will receive on the blanks. whoever gets a bingo first gets a prize as you unwrap. have each guest cut a piece of yarn that the believe is the size of your waist.

When it was circle time at his old Nursery he would sit but not for long at this Nursery its like they cant be bothered to try they said to me they will try with him on Monday. I will go to library and pick up those books thank you very much for your advice.

He sometimes says word here and there or singing when I have nursery rhymes on TV but, only when he thinks no one is listening. It's weird to me. Sometime he'll see something and say it's name but if u ask him to say it again he won't. He seems like a perfectly normal child. Likes to play with other kids, very affectionate and he understands everything. I'm just wondering why he hasn't spoken yet. It's really starting to bother my husband and I.

Materialistic things are crap! I didn't get anything either. But ya know what, I woke up from a nap today and my husband finished our son's nursery and told me to go do something for myself tomorrow.

We put his brother to bed and then he gets to choose what we do together - nursery rhymes, story etc before bed. Since then we haven't had an incident - but it is early days. We haven't put a potty in his room, but that sounds like a really good idea, so that if he feels he won't get to the bathroom he won't get distressed. He has been waking us up to use the bathroom, as he seems to prefer to do so and I don't want to discourage that, but the potty could be a failsafe.

Are there any other November mommies out there? If so how has the pregnancy come along so far & did you set up your nursery yet? Im dying to set mine up but the boyfriend thinks its a bit early, and that we should hold off a little longer.

t let me put clothes on my son. It inconvenienced them when he needed a diaper change and he was in the nursery. It was bull. But I did put hand Mira on him and socks and he used his own receiving blankets in his nursery bed. I brought a lot of stuff for him so I was sad when I only used one of the outfits to go home in. He was still so freaking cute! <3 He will be a month old Thursday. Time flys so make sure you enjoy the little moments!

It makes me want him here alrdy like nowwww :( love my little nugget wish time would hurry a bit faster. Found out at 9 weeks 25 weeks now .. Seeing his stuff even if its in boxes and not built yet makes me sad. I'm so excited wanted everything built alrdy and seeing him use all his stuff. Anyone else get this feeling?
