I don't know anything about your gf, but I know when I went through major surgery I pushed a lot of people away. My thought process on it was that I didn't want to cause them pain to have to see and deal with me when I had to go through with it all. Which is pretty stupid, but that was the idea I had. Maybe she could be in that mind frame, so giving her some time can help. After the ordeal is over things can go back to how it was before.
Girlfriend out of the blue decides a 4 day break would do us some good as we havent been able to see much of each other lately(which will change in a week,) so we just been texting really instead. she said she needs a break from it will us good,

I have tried and failed at a couple of long distant relationships in college. It may work to begin with but chances are with the distance it is going to be tough. Not saying it can not work or will not work but it is tough. You will have friends and she will have friends and you will be doing different things at different times. And the last thing either wants to do is cheat.
So I think this is something where you and her should sit down and have a nice long talk about.
My girlfriend of 4 months has had herpes for 7 years, with her only outbreak occurring when she was diagnosed at the age of 15. We've had unprotected sex and I've tested negative for HSV 2 twice, but I no longer want to risk getting herpes myself and I think I'm going to break up with her. I know I'd be losing a great girl, but I do NOT want to have herpes for the rest of my life.
My question is since she's only had 1 outbreak in her life, is she still contagious?
I am 22 years old. My last girlfriend that I had for 3 years everytime we would touch I would have an erection. We have been broken up for about 6 months. Whether or not she has BPD, you do not want to be with her - you broke up with her. You obviously do not want to be in contact with her or have this person in your life. So block her number and all contact online.
If she is a bit obsessed, she might have friends call or call from other numbers. Just don't answer from numbers you don't recognize.
If she shows up at your door or threatens you, tell her you will take out a restraining order.

Sorry to bother but I just asked my girlfriend and her time to possible exposure was closer to the 8.5-9 week before testing. Crap does that change your opinion about me being safe?
ve never really had any luck with girls or relationships, so when I met a girl who was attracted to me, (somehow attracted enough to break up with her boyfriend of 18 months,) I jumped on the opportunity. Unfortunately, she wasn't very attractive to me. I mean, physically she's beautiful. But she's just so languid and uninteresting.
This is where I went wrong. When I first started to spend time with her, I would lie to myself about her.
Whenever I'm in a relationship , it first goes well then after half a year or so I don't feel the same about them anymore. It's like I fell out of love. And seeing them makes me anxious and irritated , overwhelmed. I'd rather be by myself than be around her. I feel suffocated and want to flee. I agree with Londres. This is not a good situation. First the old adage "you don't sh*t where you eat" applies here. If this goes bad, you're stuck seeing this man all the time. Believe me, I've been in your exact shoes with a co-worker of mine years ago. I didn't know about his girlfriend until after we had already been dating for a bit. They were supposedly broken up but then got back to together while him and I were talking.
So I broke up with my boyfriend after a somewhat rocky seven year relationship. The guy didnt treat me great. I often heard (mostly in rocky times) "your a ****** joke" and well he could yell for hours. Just couldnt calm down. There were lost of trust issues, compatibility issues but we were crazy about each other. We had so much history. So I persevered through the years with a positive outlook that has caused me palpitations and constant anxiety about the future.
t guess whether she has confessed to her priest and so forth, but she is obviously trying to sin no more. ) If she was trying to use made-up religious fervor to break up, it seems like she'd just become more and more distant from the guy, and if she was trying to get the guy hooked by sex, she'd probably keep sleeping with him.

Love your answer and completely agree!! I do not think any excuse is acceptable. I've heard a lot through friends and past experience, here's some of the more messed up ones at least:
"I didn't want to hurt you and break up with you, so I figured it would just be easier if i just moved on"(yeah that was one of my wonderful ex's lucky me huh?)
"He just appreciates me and understands me so much better than my boyfriend does.
I hope she'll realize that too..her depression to me isn't how should I say..isn't something that would turn me off of her..I wish I could help her, I've expressed how I feel about her depression and her choice for help, I fully support her but as you mentioned I hope she'll realize that she doesn't have to put me out on cold and put our relationship on pause..

My ex-boyfriend and I were together for about 1.5 years. It was an amazing relationship full of love, communication, and mutual respect and support. We ended up splitting because of some issues related to his kids (whom I never met, because they were not open to meeting someone new, as their parents were newly divorced).
t bear to break his heart and do what? Send him back home? What if I make a mistake? If I was to break up with him.. how the hell would I do this? It's scary to think about... but if it's not going to work in the long run, isn't waiting going to make it even worse for him? Sometimes I just want freedom to explore any other options, like meeting someone in my area who has all the qualities I want in someone.
But then I think about how loved I am..
