1268921 tn?1288919056 I've gotten the official dx of small-fiber neuropathy. The QSART results were abnormal and the NL says that it wouldn't be CM-related b/c it measures the actual small nerves, not the brain's message to them. But, it doesn't explain the visual symptoms (which I feel are CM)--the NL wants to try treating it as a 15month aura w/out the typical migraine headache...so, the next month or so we are going to give meds a chance.
Avatar f tn I feel a slight movement in my field of vision that occurs with my pulse. I also have a feeling of a decreased ability to focus with my eyes (no blurring though) when this occurs. I have not undergone an eye examination, but the pediatrician who has been diagnosing my BP and Tachycardia issues suggested that it is likely related. I am now on Propranolol for the BP and heartrate, and this has seemed to lessen the severity of my eye issue.
Avatar f tn I had my first migraine when I was 12 and they became chronic and literally everyday after two car accidents. (Rear end and head on). I am soon going to b getting my nerves on my c3-6 burned to help with the headaches and neck pain. I'm only 23 yrs old. I had to quit my career (cosmetologist) I loved it and right before my migrianes randomly became daily I had an offer to become a redken color artist and do hair in big time hair shows up on stage with many famous hairstylist.
Avatar f tn I have been experiencing occasionally really nasty headaches with blurred vision accompanying it. When this happens my eyes feel really weird... It hurts and feels a little bit difficult to move them around and change my focus. It makes me feel tired and just not very well. I was on accutane for two months, but went off of it because i experienced these symptoms very severely.
Avatar n tn I really appreciate your input, I have scheduled an appointment with an ophthalmologist, but they cant get me in for a week. Is it possible to have vision distortion without double vision. I dont remember seeeing two of anything, and nothing was blurry. It really felt like my right eye was being pulled inward while my left was straight, and therefore what I was seeing didnt match up, does that make sense? Or is that double vision?
Avatar f tn Dear John, I am a female (biochemist), in my late thirties and highly myopic (-13) and I have a few questions regarding recent vision changes in my left eye. See also my previous posts, for which I gratefully thank you for your very helpful answers. Below I start with a concise and complete history with what may be of diagnostic relevance.
Avatar f tn ve had anxiety for about 4 months now, and the panic attacks are becoming less frequent. My doctor prescribed propranolol which I can take 3 times daily, but only need every now and again. For the last month or so, my head has become 'fuzzy' and I constantly have vision problems...like I can't focus properly and i can't see 'right'. I get headaches every week or so, and have done since i was about 11 (im now 20).
Avatar f tn It felt like I was paralyzed from my chest to my jaw and I could barely talk. I started shaking and my vision was blurry. My husband called an ambulance and they took me to the hospital. By the time I got there I started to feel better and my heart rhythm was better but I felt terrible. The PVc"s didnt show on the ekg so the ER doc had me stand up and pace and I was having 4 or 5 of them every 10 - 15 seconds.
Avatar f tn I have a 4mm pituitary adenoma, calcification of the pineal gland, a solid nodule on thyroid (biopsy next week), adrenal insufficiency, bouts of tachycardia, headache, blurred vision (opthamologist tomorrow), cramping in my extremites, mostly my right calf. Is there a common link that could be causing all of my symptons, and will I ever get a genuine diagnosis and be well again? I feel very poorly.
Avatar m tn Hi, I'm dealing with tachycardia arrhytmia since more than 2 years now. My Cardilogist at first said it was dysautonomia and POTS and blame also my severe anxiety and was put on a beta blocker, propranolol 20 mg day. At first it was working on to stop the tachycardia but with time the effect wear off and had to increase my dose and then it was lowering too much my blood pressure so my Cardiologist switch me on another beta blocker...
1415174 tn?1453243103 Topiramate extended-release capsules may cause drowsiness, dizziness, confusion, trouble concentrating, or vision changes. But may be worse if it is taken with alcohol or certain medicines. It is best that you check with your doctor for proper management. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn Has anyone tried PROPRANOLOL for prevention of Migraines? I have struggled with headaches almost every day & Migraines aprox every 7-10 days for the last 10 years. Feverfew has helped but they now seem to be getting worst so I was thinking of asking my GP if I could try Propranolol.
4155003 tn?1351614311 ive bin on propranolol for about 12weeks & weaned myself down to 10ml every other day, i took 10ml propranolol 52hours ago & not going to take another one as im ready to stop. when will it be fully out my system?
Avatar f tn I have been given propranolol to take as I have had continuous palpitations since monday and my heartrate has randomly shooting up in the 100's (not related to posture!!) These will also help with my bp, it has been creeping up. I have had these in the past but was more recently on bisoprolol. Which is more common for POTS symptoms? I was in A&E last night and back at my GP's this morning. I have been refered back to the cardiologist who is going to see me in november.
Avatar f tn I've been taking Propranolol for high blood pressure and tachycardia(10mg at 8am, 2pm, and 8pm) for about 18 days now, and four days ago I woke up feeling quite dizzy. Since then it seemed to get better, but now I feel lethargic, dizzy, and generally unwell. Is it my drug? Note: I'm a 15-year-old male.
Avatar f tn Iv tried propranol. Worked pretty good actually for my daily migrianes but causes such rapid weight gain I couldn't handle it. I know what ppl may think. Well u may not b in that much pain then to come off it it it helped. I have major body issues. And I used to work out hard and diet a lot and had a nice in shape body. Then got in two car accidents, neck problems now chronic daily migrianes. Iv had migrianes since 12 anyways. But the neck problems just added on to them!
Avatar m tn But I was having a hard time focusing on something without having a double vision and slightly blurry vision when I try hard to adjust my vision. I started to unconsciously approach the monitor during that like I am being drawn toward it. I felt some subtle waves of a headache in my head but there was no remarkable headache. my right ear hurts. My jaw is stiff. I was jittery. I randomly opened my mouth because I felt my jaw is really stiff.
Avatar f tn We've added itching and double vision as symptoms to the Multiple Sclerosis Tracker. We've also added overexertion to the events section. Inderal/propranolol, anticholinergics, antidepressants, carbamazepine, gabapentin, prochlorperazine and codeine phosphate have all been added to the MS Tracker.
Avatar n tn As soon as they were finished with the ablation, before they rolled me out of the cath lab, I started getting a migraine (blurry vision, followed by headache from hell, nausea, vomiting). Before my heart ablation I would get a migraine 3-4 times a year. I have been getting them since i was a teenager (I am now 34). Since the surgery, I have gotten 1-2 migraine headaches EVERY DAY (I'm on day 5 since my surgery). Sometime I get one in the middle of the night while I'm sleeping.
Avatar f tn 4 days ago pcp changed my beta blocker from propranolol 40mg twice daily to metprolol er 25mg daily d/t low pulse in 40s- 50s. Been on propranolol for 22yrs for PVCS. She had me just stop propranolol and start metoprolol, been experiencing shakiness, occassional pvcs, headache, nausea, pulse still 45 - low 60s at rest and with exertion 70-90. Should she have tapered propranolol or will the metoprolol block the more serious withdrawal symptoms ie: HTN, chest pain ect.
Avatar m tn Propranolol is not on the list of contraindicated drugs for Harvoni. Here is the list: http://www.drugs.com/drug-interactions/ledipasvir-sofosbuvir,harvoni-index.
Avatar f tn When did you start taking Propranolol 20 mg? Side effects of propranolol include abdominal cramps, diarrhea, constipation, fatigue, insomnia, nausea, depression, memory loss, fever, lightheadedness, slow heart rate, low blood pressure, cold extremities, sore throat, and shortness of breath( ref: http://www.medicinenet.com/propranolol/page2.htm). It is possible that your symptoms are related to the medication you are taking.
Avatar f tn I take propranolol the dosage is up to your doctor it doesn't really make you tired although everyone is different but it doesn't me it's suppose to be for stress and anxiety but I don't think it helps very well you might consider ativan there isn't a medication that has propranolol in it there is a script of propranolol by itself it's not mixed with any medication
Avatar n tn Sertraline and other Selective Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) inhibit a certain enzyme which usually metabolizes Propranolol. Due to this inhibition, Propranolol action may be enhanced. But it will not be appropriate to look at this isolated piece of information and ignore other evidences. We do have a lot of trials and reviews exploring the combination. There is no conclusive evidence which allows us to deem this combination unacceptable.
Avatar f tn Results vary among people, but, for migraines, I was taking 240 mg Inderal LA (Propranolol slow release) every day, in divided doses, I was fine. One site I just viewed suggested dosing as 40mg twice a day of Standard Propranolol or 80 mg Slow Release once a day. For the Standard Propranolol, they listed 640 mg as the maximum per day, in divided doses, so you're clearing that by a wide margin.
Avatar f tn I have been prescribed an increase in propranolol for migraines and anxiety.I was taking 120mg in the morning(extended release) and my doctor has raised the dose to 160mg. I had been taking the propranolol in the morning, but have read that the best time to take it is in the nighttime. Does anyone know what would be the best time morning or nighttime? Thank you.
