I take propranolol the dosage is up to your doctor it doesn't really make you tired although everyone is different but it doesn't me it's suppose to be for stress and anxiety but I don't think it helps very well you might consider ativan

Thank u I did try it but it made my blood pressure low so my doc started me on propranolol 10mg 2x daily have u ever heard of that I use to take 40mg of propranolol for having fast heart rate I took it for ten yrs and on july 1, 2013 I got the gastric bypass surgery and I took myself off the propranolol cuz my heart rate stayed low and I was scared to take it because it lowers ur heart rate more after all that's why they prescribed the propranolol in the first place ten yrs ago but it wasn&#

I am also wondering about how long will i have to take the propranolol. what has to happen for me to stop taking it. I am not a patient person and would love for all this to just go away.

Sertraline and other Selective Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) inhibit a certain enzyme which usually metabolizes Propranolol. Due to this inhibition, Propranolol action may be enhanced. But it will not be appropriate to look at this isolated piece of information and ignore other evidences.
We do have a lot of trials and reviews exploring the combination. There is no conclusive evidence which allows us to deem this combination unacceptable.
So for a few years on and off I get these skipped beats or palpitations, whatever you want to call them. Some days I get them a few times a day, & then don't notice them for awhile, & then they come back. Usually I'll notice them after exercise but sometimes I'm totally at rest and I'll feel like 2-3 skips or jumps close together, like my heart pauses and then beats. I don't ever get more than 2-3 per minute at most. But they are a bit unsettling.
So I was put on amlodipine 10mg and Propranolol 40mg on 1st July 2016. This helped lower my blood pressure to around 115/68. Only problem is that it makes me feel quite tired after little activity like walking. After complaining about this tiredness to the doctor yesterday, he changed my drugs to 100mg Losartan (1 tablet per day) and 25mg Atenolol (2 tablets per day).
I’m on Levoxyl.75 4 days a week and .88 3 days. I’m also on propranolol.20mgs twice a day for the MAV and clonazepam.25mgs a day for the anxiety. I feel very tired a lot since starting the clonazepam but endo said to drop the morning dose of propranolol to 10mgs to see if it helps the fatigue. But I think I should drop the thyroid med to .75 5 days and .88 to 2 days. What are your thoughts on all this?
Has anyone tried PROPRANOLOL for prevention of Migraines? I have struggled with headaches almost every day & Migraines aprox every 7-10 days for the last 10 years. Feverfew has helped but they now seem to be getting worst so I was thinking of asking my GP if I could try Propranolol.
I have been given propranolol to take as I have had continuous palpitations since monday and my heartrate has randomly shooting up in the 100's (not related to posture!!) These will also help with my bp, it has been creeping up.

I was in A&E last night and back at my GP's this morning. I have been refered back to the cardiologist who is going to see me in november.
I've been taking Propranolol for high blood pressure and tachycardia(10mg at 8am, 2pm, and 8pm) for about 18 days now, and four days ago I woke up feeling quite dizzy. Since then it seemed to get better, but now I feel lethargic, dizzy, and generally unwell. Is it my drug?

4 days ago pcp changed my beta blocker from propranolol 40mg twice daily to metprolol er 25mg daily d/t low pulse in 40s- 50s. Been on propranolol for 22yrs for PVCS. She had me just stop propranolol and start metoprolol, been experiencing shakiness, occassional pvcs, headache, nausea, pulse still 45 - low 60s at rest and with exertion 70-90. Should she have tapered propranolol or will the metoprolol block the more serious withdrawal symptoms ie: HTN, chest pain ect.

Results vary among people, but, for migraines, I was taking 240 mg Inderal LA (Propranolol slow release) every day, in divided doses, I was fine. One site I just viewed suggested dosing as 40mg twice a day of Standard Propranolol or 80 mg Slow Release once a day.
For the Standard Propranolol, they listed 640 mg as the maximum per day, in divided doses, so you're clearing that by a wide margin.
I have been prescribed an increase in propranolol for migraines and anxiety.I was taking 120mg in the morning(extended release) and my doctor has raised the dose to 160mg.
I had been taking the propranolol in the morning, but have read that the best time to take it is in the nighttime.
Does anyone know what would be the best time morning or nighttime?

I really want to get off them, but I am scared that I will be in pain. I am tired of being dependent on them. I am currently out and have to wait until 3/28 to get a refill. I was wondering if Propranolol would help me with the withdrawal symptoms to I can make it through work days. I just want this feeling to go away, I am currently taking some Gabapentin that I had from years ago, but it is not enough to take all WD symptoms away. I am embarrassed to ask my doctor for help during this time.
I am a 30 year old male and was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. I also had several episodes of panic attacks. After 4 months of treatment with carbimazole & propranolol, I am now clinically euthyroid and there's no more panic attacks & tachycardia.
I have been doing brisk walking for last one month. I started slowly, but now I walk briskly on plain surface, slopes and stairs. I walk approx 2 miles everyday for 45 minutes.
I have been still advised to be on Carbimazole 20 mg.
Symptoms normal except for some lightheadedness and a bit tired. Doctor suggests either do nothing or cardiovert again. Treat with propranolol and coumadin.
Any comments or suggestions?
i am 28 years of age,i had a problem of trembling my fingers of both hand,specialy when i write it was more difficult,then i consulted a neurologist so he checked me and prescribed me propranolol 20 ml to take 3times a day but i was affraid to take 3times but i took that only once a day as i was asked by someone if i continue that much i will have to use it forever.when i take that i feel much better.
