Common Questions and Answers about Propranolol klonopin

Avatar n tn m assuming a doctor made this decision to switch out Lexapro for Paxil and add on Klonopin? Are they aware of your also taking propranolol? Drug interactions are real but typically doctors try to be aware of a patients full history as long as you provide it to them. A pharmacist where you fulfil your prescriptions is also a great source of information. In general, paxil and klonopin are frequently prescribed together.
687729 tn?1397992727 I have been taking Klonopin and Propranolol for years, being treated for a benign tremor and migraines. I'm tired of feeling dopey all the time and I have quit the Klonopin and cut my Propranolol dosage in half. I've been getting leg cramps and headaches (not full-blown migraines, but nagging headaches that make me want to go back on the Klonopin). Can I expect these symptoms to disappear?
1258608 tn?1269552597 I am currently on 160mg of Geodon, 200mg of Zoloft, 5mg of Abilify, 2mg Klonopin, 60mg of Propranolol. I also suffer from major tremors that are pretty much constant and very noticeable to others. I have a hard time driving because I get tremors in my legs and feet. The tremors have gotten worse over time. I could really use some support right now and any advice that you may have.
Avatar m tn Mao inhibitors are really last ditch efforts. Are you taking Klonopin or any other anti-anxiety med? Have you tried any tricyclics like amitriptiline? Have you tried Buspar? I tried a lot of SSRI's and finally landed on Celexa and it has helped alot. I know you don't want to keep trying drugs that don't work, but I would exhaust other alternatives before deciding on Nardil. As you said it is quite restrictive. I'm not sure injecting it would solve the interaction issues.
Avatar f tn Prior to being pregnant I would take 5-10mg of Propranolol a few times a month for performance anxiety. I have withheld using it so far but it has really hindered me at work. I have a big presentation I need to give this week in front of 150 people and fear getting on stage without taking it. However, I am also nervous about any potential harm to my baby. Can you clarify if it is safe to use propranolol (5mg) infrequently during the remainder of my pregnancy??? thank you very much!!
Avatar f tn s, tried xanax, ativan and klonopin, and a whole host of other things like neurontin, propranolol, elavil, and remeron. The only meds could tolerate after a few days has been the ssri's and ativan. I spent the last 9 months using only ativan when needed and doing CBT twice a week. At this point I'm at a loss. My team of professionals suggested that I start trying meds again because I still wasn't stabilizing.
Avatar f tn Has anyone tried PROPRANOLOL for prevention of Migraines? I have struggled with headaches almost every day & Migraines aprox every 7-10 days for the last 10 years. Feverfew has helped but they now seem to be getting worst so I was thinking of asking my GP if I could try Propranolol.
4155003 tn?1351614311 ive bin on propranolol for about 12weeks & weaned myself down to 10ml every other day, i took 10ml propranolol 52hours ago & not going to take another one as im ready to stop. when will it be fully out my system?
Avatar f tn I have been given propranolol to take as I have had continuous palpitations since monday and my heartrate has randomly shooting up in the 100's (not related to posture!!) These will also help with my bp, it has been creeping up. I have had these in the past but was more recently on bisoprolol. Which is more common for POTS symptoms? I was in A&E last night and back at my GP's this morning. I have been refered back to the cardiologist who is going to see me in november.
Avatar f tn I've been taking Propranolol for high blood pressure and tachycardia(10mg at 8am, 2pm, and 8pm) for about 18 days now, and four days ago I woke up feeling quite dizzy. Since then it seemed to get better, but now I feel lethargic, dizzy, and generally unwell. Is it my drug? Note: I'm a 15-year-old male.
Avatar f tn Hi sorry to hear about your anxiety. I too have developed health anxiety after the death of my mother and it is truly awful, in10 months I've gone from happy to anxious 24/7. Do you know what triggered your anxiety or is it just a generalised anxiety?
Avatar m tn I feel a lot of anxiety but comes at bad time, my psych stopped prescribing I was taking around 0.5 - 1 mg klonopin for anxiety which I suffer from... But I think a big cause of the anxiety is just the withdraw every day until you stick your next dose in you.... So gonna try to get a appt with a family friend who is psychiatrist next week... Thank god there is doctors in the family... I so loved klonopin because I never could abuse it...
Avatar f tn 4 days ago pcp changed my beta blocker from propranolol 40mg twice daily to metprolol er 25mg daily d/t low pulse in 40s- 50s. Been on propranolol for 22yrs for PVCS. She had me just stop propranolol and start metoprolol, been experiencing shakiness, occassional pvcs, headache, nausea, pulse still 45 - low 60s at rest and with exertion 70-90. Should she have tapered propranolol or will the metoprolol block the more serious withdrawal symptoms ie: HTN, chest pain ect.
Avatar m tn Propranolol is not on the list of contraindicated drugs for Harvoni. Here is the list: http://www.drugs.com/drug-interactions/ledipasvir-sofosbuvir,harvoni-index.
Avatar f tn When did you start taking Propranolol 20 mg? Side effects of propranolol include abdominal cramps, diarrhea, constipation, fatigue, insomnia, nausea, depression, memory loss, fever, lightheadedness, slow heart rate, low blood pressure, cold extremities, sore throat, and shortness of breath( ref: http://www.medicinenet.com/propranolol/page2.htm). It is possible that your symptoms are related to the medication you are taking.
Avatar f tn I take propranolol the dosage is up to your doctor it doesn't really make you tired although everyone is different but it doesn't me it's suppose to be for stress and anxiety but I don't think it helps very well you might consider ativan there isn't a medication that has propranolol in it there is a script of propranolol by itself it's not mixed with any medication
Avatar n tn Sertraline and other Selective Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitors (SSRIs) inhibit a certain enzyme which usually metabolizes Propranolol. Due to this inhibition, Propranolol action may be enhanced. But it will not be appropriate to look at this isolated piece of information and ignore other evidences. We do have a lot of trials and reviews exploring the combination. There is no conclusive evidence which allows us to deem this combination unacceptable.
Avatar f tn Results vary among people, but, for migraines, I was taking 240 mg Inderal LA (Propranolol slow release) every day, in divided doses, I was fine. One site I just viewed suggested dosing as 40mg twice a day of Standard Propranolol or 80 mg Slow Release once a day. For the Standard Propranolol, they listed 640 mg as the maximum per day, in divided doses, so you're clearing that by a wide margin.
Avatar f tn I have been prescribed an increase in propranolol for migraines and anxiety.I was taking 120mg in the morning(extended release) and my doctor has raised the dose to 160mg. I had been taking the propranolol in the morning, but have read that the best time to take it is in the nighttime. Does anyone know what would be the best time morning or nighttime? Thank you.
Avatar f tn Take methadone 60mgs at 9am every am, visterall 200mgs 9am,1pm,6pm. Propranolol 80mgs 9am and 9pm, Klonopin 2mgs only for panic attacks. About 11/2 weeks ago stopped clonodine 0.3mgs took a lot of them when I had them. So now I wake up and instantly start sweating and don't stop sweating until 10pm at night.

Avatar f tn If any one can help answer my question, I would be so grateful. I have been hospitalized in the ER three times in the past two weeks for bradycardia. All this suddenly started happening in the last two weeks. I start to feel weak, have a seizure, this last time, I fell down on the kitchen floor and hit my head pretty good. I am a 28 yr old female who has been on propranol for almost 4 years. I have a at home blood pressure monitor, that also checks my pulse and I do it religiously.
Avatar n tn I received 1 dose (supposedly 10mg) injected through an IV port in my arm of a drug called Compazine. Within seconds I had a very severe reaction. I felt it shock my body and then felt as though I couldn't breathe. Then I felt a heat wash over me and felt like I was cooking from the inside out. My mouth got very dry and I felt the most intense panic and couldn't writhing on the bed for hours.
