sometimes Tenex is also used in conjunction with stimulants to help control ADHD symptoms....first I have heard of inderal (brand name for propranolol) being used but makes sense...Always to remember to ask your doctor any questions about your meds and health care...the only stupid questions are the ones not asked....Also beta blockers are also given to help control migraines to regulate fluxs in BP...not because too high but slight changes can trigger migraines...

I have essesential tremors and take medication (Propranolol SA -160mg) for them. I also take Clonazepam - 0.5mg for anxiety and Prozac - 20mg to help with my nervousness and anxiety. These medications do help, but I have noticed over the past year that my shaky head syndrome and my shaky legs while driving has gotten worse. It is getting to the point that I am barely able to drive, and I have noticed that my head is shaking more than it used to.

Does anyone take propranolol for anxiety and panic attacks? I've had crippling anxiety for my whole life. Antidepressants increase it to the point where I'm in such a state I almost pass out from hypervenitlating. I've heard propranolol is good for this, and is effective.

m not a doctor but I do know for my anxiety issues Propranolol does help and helps with the adrenaline issues from my ANS (autonomic nervous system). I would talk to my doctor about something to help calm the anxiety and see if that helps, along with diet, breathing and exercise if they clear you. Yes I've had different ekg's even on the same day.

When I take Propranolol in the morning, the symptoms stayed for a while before taking effect. I wonder if I should take 3 10MG of propranolol a day instead of 2. Thanks!

I also do take the beta-blocker pindolol which has kept my BP at 125/70 for years. Shrink says very occasional and use of propranolol on top of pindolol should not be a problem but I still have concerns which I will run by my GP. I actually did receive a call from my pharmacy pointing out the risk of a low BP problem. So...I am wondering if anyone has used propranolol or has an educated opinion on both its use in ED and possible interactions.

I know propranolol is used for PTSD...but what should I ask for in the pharmacy and what is the dosage? Are there any serious effect if taken without proper knowledge?

Hi, Thank you for your question. Usually, propranolol (beta blocker) is suggested for prophylactic treatment of migraine. Acute or prompt treatment require over the counter pain killers and triptans. Avoiding the triggering factors of cluster headache might help you in order to prevent its recurrence. Hope it helps.

I used to take a slow-release Propranolol 80 mg every day, which caused severe tiredness and extreme fatigue, to the point that I was not able to think straight and sometimes could not even get out of bed. Apparently, Propranolol also inhibits the ability for you to burn fat, not to mention gastrointestinal issues. Depression is also significantly higher when taking Propranolol.

Thank you for your reply. I did have a 24hr. monitor on couple of weeks ago. The thing is, is the day i wore it my heart not once was racing. The dr. did tell me that it can be tricky to detect. And he told me that if the monitor did'nt show anything than he may do the 30day one. I see him this wed to discuss the results and i planed on telling him that the nervousness and anxiety is getting worse.

I take propranolol for my blood pressure and keeps my heart steady when a panic attack comes around. For my anxiety, the dr put me on celexa, propranolol, and Ativan. This combo usually works pretty well.

He is currently going through injections to try to raise his sperm levels, we are probably shooting for July or August for the egg ret. and implant. I feel nervous,anxious,scared and stressed(financially). It would be nice to talk to someone with the same stuff going on. So I'm a ftm about 9 weeks along. We baby sat my 4 month old nephew today for the first time. (he's a premiee also) and I've suddenly started to freak out....he doesn't calm down for me like he does for my husband. I'm supposed to find out what the gender of my baby is tomorrow. Is it wrong of me that I'm not nervous at all? I keep having the feeling that they won't be able to tell since I'm 19 weeks. I was 20 weeks and 4 days along when I found out I was having a girl in my first pregnancy and they almost couldn't tell. I have faxed my doctor that I was concerned about that and could she lower my Synthroid. Of course as usual no response. Anyway today I am extremely nervous for some reason. Kind of like a panic attack. I have never had these before. I really don't like it. I am assuming here that I am going hyper. I have both 137 and 125 of Synthroid. Do you think splitting these in half would help? I don't think it is from the Cytomel as I am only on 5mcg. Any help appreciated.

Sorry for those symptoms you're experiencing.. I do get chest pain that i try to ignore, the more i think about it the worst it gets n the more stress i get, i do get thus pressure feelings in my head almost like headaches, n sometimes shooting pains.. Is hard to live day by day with this symptoms. I been in & out the doctors office and hospitals for chest pain headaches and im fine, they found nothing. Sometimes my throat feels tight..

Over time it damages your blood vessels all over your body. I hope you have seen a doctor for this. If not, it would be a good idea. I don't know if you have high blood pressure or not based on one reading but I think your doctor should examine you and determine that. You can google high blood pressure symptoms and read on it.

You need to consult a psychiatrist who could help you with anti anxiety medications along with behavioral therapy and psychotherapy. You need to be counseled for these nervousness symptoms. You could be a type A personality who reacts to situations with an underlying degree of stress. Hope this helps. Take care.

33 Days.... YEAH!! Yes anxiety is so totally normal! Just to give you a little example... My in-laws always host a new years breakfast at 10am sharp New years morning. I have been in the family for 5 years now. I hadn't quit c/t yet, but, I had tapered down over half. We arrive at my in-laws house and we walk in the door and instantly I felt a rush of heat and had to find a place to sit down, my heart was pounding out of my chest and was a panic mess!

ive bin on propranolol for about 12weeks & weaned myself down to 10ml every other day, i took 10ml propranolol 52hours ago & not going to take another one as im ready to stop. when will it be fully out my system?
