Avatar n tn 20mgs twice a day for the MAV and clonazepam.25mgs a day for the anxiety. I feel very tired a lot since starting the clonazepam but endo said to drop the morning dose of propranolol to 10mgs to see if it helps the fatigue. But I think I should drop the thyroid med to .75 5 days and .88 to 2 days. What are your thoughts on all this?
Avatar n tn Also, can I stop Propranolol and start with Clonazepam on as-need-basis? P.S.: Also, I have no cholesterol, no diabetes, do not smoke (quit 4 months back) and drink very rarely. All other tests results are normal. Only my thyroid levels fluctuate. T3 is normal, T4 is little bit high in decimals. And TSH is 0.01. I am overweight, but am trying to lose weight. My mother too has hyperthyroidism. She is euthyroid now.
Avatar n tn I read Sertraline reacts with Propranolol. It makes Propranolol more toxic and can give me low BP and bradycardia. Recently my BP was a bit high (140/90) and pulse rate was 72. Shall I take the psychiatric medicines and how should I schedule the medications without suffering a lot?
Avatar n tn The typical treatment for this is propranolol (a beta blocker) and if there is anxiety along with it, then clonazepam too. The propranolol will help with the shakes and also anxiety, but if the anxiety is more pronounced and/or with panic attacks then my guess would be that the doctor would prescribe clonazepam with it.
Avatar f tn I am 30 yr old man who was diagnosed with Mitral valve prolapse and mitral and tricuspid regurgitation a decade ago. It was confirmed by a Cardiologist that due to that, I have very sensitive Autonomic nervous system as I am very hypersensitive man and get severe Anxiety/Panic attacks. 6 months ago, i had the biggest panic attack of my life, where i felt i could not breath, fast heart palpitations, dizziness and imbalance, heaviness in head, chest pain , sweating of palms, fear of dying.

Avatar m tn For that, he prescribed Prednisone. I did just get off taking an antibiotic for a facial infection, and take clonazepam and Propranolol for anxiety. All this rash stuff is driving me crazy. No tests were done, just a visual by the MD. I tried Aveeno Cream and bath wash for the posion ivy rash, helps a little, but the rashes return. What's going on ?
Avatar n tn I have essesential tremors and take medication (Propranolol SA -160mg) for them. I also take Clonazepam - 0.5mg for anxiety and Prozac - 20mg to help with my nervousness and anxiety. These medications do help, but I have noticed over the past year that my shaky head syndrome and my shaky legs while driving has gotten worse. It is getting to the point that I am barely able to drive, and I have noticed that my head is shaking more than it used to.
Avatar n tn Fast forward 5 years and many medicines later, I am on propranolol for high blood pressure and tachycardia. I take clonazepam for anxiety, and I sort of regularly see a cardiologist (whenever appointments are actually available). I've recently been having allot off weird problems, I have allot of random episodes where my heart rate will go up and stay up for hours at a time.
Avatar f tn ok so the past few weeks ive been having extreme anxiety, tingling in fingers, arm pain, back and chest pain on and off (pressure, sharp pains, anything you can think of i've felt it), panic attacks. saw a cardiologist on tuesday, said i had a normal echo. last year and nothing would drastically change within a year, and normal ekgs and holter monitor recently. he also prescribed me propranolol , which i'm terrified to take because it drops BP and your heart rate.
Avatar m tn d get depressed and anxious \ nervous for a week or two, then have another great week. They stopped the Lorazepram and started me on 40Mg Citaloproam and 1Mg Clonazepam 3 - 4 times a day. Then in February my Mother started going downhill and eventually died from complications due to Alzheimer's in April. Before she died, they started me on Divalproex ER 500Mg T stepped up to 3 pills at night. Still I have the shakes and tremors and the clonazepam makes me feel drunk.
Avatar m tn Hi, I'm dealing with tachycardia arrhytmia since more than 2 years now. My Cardilogist at first said it was dysautonomia and POTS and blame also my severe anxiety and was put on a beta blocker, propranolol 20 mg day. At first it was working on to stop the tachycardia but with time the effect wear off and had to increase my dose and then it was lowering too much my blood pressure so my Cardiologist switch me on another beta blocker...
Avatar n tn Akathisia sometimes responds to beta blockers. Clonazepam has less of the rebound effects since it has such a long half life;; you can dose it twice per day, or even once every night-- the half life of 24 hours means it will hang around the entire next day to help keep the anxiety at bay.

Avatar f tn Has anyone tried PROPRANOLOL for prevention of Migraines? I have struggled with headaches almost every day & Migraines aprox every 7-10 days for the last 10 years. Feverfew has helped but they now seem to be getting worst so I was thinking of asking my GP if I could try Propranolol.
4155003 tn?1351614311 ive bin on propranolol for about 12weeks & weaned myself down to 10ml every other day, i took 10ml propranolol 52hours ago & not going to take another one as im ready to stop. when will it be fully out my system?
Avatar f tn I have been given propranolol to take as I have had continuous palpitations since monday and my heartrate has randomly shooting up in the 100's (not related to posture!!) These will also help with my bp, it has been creeping up. I have had these in the past but was more recently on bisoprolol. Which is more common for POTS symptoms? I was in A&E last night and back at my GP's this morning. I have been refered back to the cardiologist who is going to see me in november.
Avatar f tn I've been taking Propranolol for high blood pressure and tachycardia(10mg at 8am, 2pm, and 8pm) for about 18 days now, and four days ago I woke up feeling quite dizzy. Since then it seemed to get better, but now I feel lethargic, dizzy, and generally unwell. Is it my drug? Note: I'm a 15-year-old male.
Avatar f tn 4 days ago pcp changed my beta blocker from propranolol 40mg twice daily to metprolol er 25mg daily d/t low pulse in 40s- 50s. Been on propranolol for 22yrs for PVCS. She had me just stop propranolol and start metoprolol, been experiencing shakiness, occassional pvcs, headache, nausea, pulse still 45 - low 60s at rest and with exertion 70-90. Should she have tapered propranolol or will the metoprolol block the more serious withdrawal symptoms ie: HTN, chest pain ect.
