Avatar n tn I've done this the past few days in various doses. I am prescribed Zopiclone to sleep, although the other night I required 3 x 7.5mg before I slept, which was on top of 2 (100mg) of the Sedating anti depressant Trazodone as well as having taken two Tramadol to help bring on some drowsyness and wind down that night.
Avatar n tn When these sites are blocked, heart rate and blood pressure are reduced and patients become less anxious. Because of this, propranolol is useful in treating chest pain, high blood pressure, and excessive nervousness. Unfortunately, propranolol often makes breathing disorders, such as asthma, worse because it tends to constrict breathing passages and sometimes causes fluid to build up in the lungs if it excessively depresses the heart.
Avatar f tn I have depression and post traumatic Stress disorder and am currently on Mirtrazipine, Venoflaxine, Quitiepine and Zopiclone I have been treated for this since my mid twenties, last year I had three small focal seizures which no pathology found. Avatar f tn I have a history of migraines for about twenty years. I quit smoking 7 months ago, and started propranolol 20 mg once a day. I gained 30 pounds. My whole body is sore and Im having episodes where my upper body and sometimes legs just feel so heavy and tired I feel like Im going to pass out. Had a Head CT, Head and Neck CTA, CBC, EKG all were normal. Is it related to migraine? ER doctor said it is anxiety. Oh I stopped celexa five months ago because I was extremely fatigued.
Avatar m tn my GP put me on zopiclone almost two weeks ago after involuntary methadone withdrawal (75mg to zero in 8 weeks). It does get me to sleep but am now concerned with the possible addictiveness of it. Am struggling horribly with withdrawal for the 1st time in 46yrs & been on methadone 18 years & used opiates the previous 7 years. Opiates addicts since 17. if anyone can help me I'd be so grateful.
Avatar f tn After 3 weeks of use mild to moderate rebound withdrawal symptoms appear upon discontinuation of zopiclone. Due to the risk of tolerance and physical dependence, zopiclone is only recommended for short term (1–4 weeks max) relief of insomnia, or alternatively, long term infrequent use.Long-term zopiclone users who have become physically dependent should not discontinue their medication abruptly as severe withdrawal symptoms may occur such as delirium.

Avatar f tn I read that too much potassium doesn’t work well while on propranolol because while on it the body does not excrete potassium as normally and you can get levels that are too high. Could this be the cause or is there an adjustment period while taking propranolol? I’ve been drinking pomegranate juice and cherry juice, 4 oz of each, with breakfast this past week. These are very high in potassium. Something is making me feel very strange and I’m hoping it wears off.
Avatar m tn t like what it has robbed from me,and turned me into, I just was feed up and want (my) a life back. The zopiclone has probably been 3 years everyday so I hope that still makes it okay to just stop?
1622896 tn?1562364967 No problem. Are you going to try and discontinue the zopiclone? I'm sure your doctor can replace it with something just as effective. Take it slow and easy if you do lower you dose. Good luck and let us know how you do.
Avatar m tn It appears to be similar in efficacy and like Ambien is meant for short term use only. Unless you've tried it Rozerem is one alternative that unlike Ambien or the medication you mentioned or Lunesta does not have a potential for a person to build up a tolerance to it and is an FDA approved medication that works like melatonin to adjust the sleep cycle. You could ask your psychiatrist about that.
Avatar f tn I am glad you are doing so well and no, you should not get withdrawals from zopiclone. Your liver should be checked with appropriate tests and followed for a while to see how it is doing. Otherwise, good job!
Avatar m tn From March, 2010, I started to take zopiclone at the same time, the maxinum I had taken was 16pills/day and now I was taken 8-10pills/day. I found that I got weight loss, weakness, non stable mental all the days. I want to quit all of them but it seems very difficult because everyday I had to work for money. Could anyone tell me some good ideas to quit them? It would be very appriciate. thank you.

335728 tn?1331414412 ll add a new category of treatments called anti-depressants to the sleep tracker in the near future. Zopiclone is actually the generic name for Lunesta, so go ahead and use Lunesta (already in the tracker) to track usage of Zopiclone. We'll let you know when anti-depressants are available to track.
Avatar m tn If these two drugs are cross tollerant will your physical addiction will just swap over and you'll go into withdrawl once you stop taking the zopiclone, even though zopiclone is not a benzo?
Avatar f tn With the stresses of school, have increases my use of zopiclone. Was on 3.75mg, then 7.5mg and up and down when possible to cut back or needed because of stress.
