prometrium

514684 tn?1211462108 I'm new to this site, such a wealth of information. We've been really trying on and off for 5 years now. I stopped having periods and don't ovulate on a regular basis. My OBGYN says she thinks I have POF but not sure because of underlined issues with my thyroid. Only time I do have a period is if I'm on birth control. Although I get the good ol cramps/PMS like clockwork but nothing happens.
Avatar f tn Everything is going great. I am on baby aspirin a day and 200mg 2x prometrium. its working for me! progesterone does an amazing job at holding pregnancies, and the baby asprin is to thin you blood so more goes to the uterus. This can also help if you have a blood clotting issue. i have never been tested for anything but i wanted to try 1 more time first with these medicines and i believe its really helping me.
513660 tn?1217171919 I was told I can start aspirin therapy for this, but since level is not high it might not be reason for infertility. Anyone have similar case? Any thoughts? I am hoping this is it and will work for us. I am doing a FET next month.
Avatar f tn went through 3 miscarriages for unknown reasons and prometrium worked. The doc said that during the clomid monitoring my lining looked good. My day 21 progesterone before the infertility treatment was 3.3. My day 3 FSH was a 10. I just want to know what to bring up for my appt. on Friday. Sorry if I sound like a big worry wort. I just waited so long for this to happen and am in shock that it is.
1277416 tn?1289788441 I'm sorry I can't help! I do not know what prochieve is.....is it similar to progesterone supplements such as prometrium? I've had slight cramps on an off until this week. MD said it is very normal and many of my friends also had slight cramping throughout pregnancy! Good Luck with the prochieve! I hope it helps bring you your little miracle!!
359142 tn?1321120923 U got it girl!!! hopes for a BFP right around the corner for u. I'll keep u in my thoughts and prayers.
211043 tn?1337050701 I know, I know - I need to put the tests down and back away slowly. But it took 3 years to conceive our first daughter, and we've been trying for our second for 20 months. I've had 5 miscarriages, and after all that...yes, I continue to test. My insurance is F'd right now and they won't pay for anymore blood tests so I can't get betas.
Avatar n tn My Dr has prescribed Prometrium 200mgs to be taken for the 1st 5 days of my next period. Everything I have read about this is that it is usually prescribed for 10 days before your period, so I am confused. Also, he mentioned that Prometrium will help protect me from endometrial cancer and possibly breast cancer. I read that it may increase the risk of breast cancer so I am totally confused. Can someone help and offer advice? I am going for a 2nd opinion in December with another Ob/Gyn.
1404364 tn?1289431561 My cycle is nowhere to be seen (not totally uncommon for me) and my last period was in mid-December. My OB was fine with giving me an Rx for BC pills to induce a bleed, but when I called the RE's office, she said that I shouldn't start them and that we will talk about an alternate route at the appt. Now I'm just curious what types of drugs they would put me on? Are there stronger injectibles to induce a period?
Avatar n tn Hi, everyone I had my first ultrasound on dec 3rd It was great I saw for the first time in my life a little heart beat. I was very excited, the doctor said it was very strong. Q: When you transfer multiple embryos and only one takes, what happens to the others? And also, I was perimenopausal before this egg donor pregnancy, I am on estrace, vaginal progesterone, lovenox.
Avatar f tn I don't but my girlfriend was put in progesterone for her 1st trimester. She has miscarried several times and the progesterone is supposed to help prevent another one. Her dr is taking her off of it next week as she will be starting her 2nd tri. I'm not sure if you have had a history of miscarriages or maybe your dr is doing it as a preventative measure. Talk to your dr make sure you understand why they want you taking it.
1129232 tn?1360800358 All my friends and family members have zero fertility issues - in fact most of them have gotten pregnant by accident or on their first try and although I have my son that i got pregnant with easily, i am now going through this very frustrating and disheartening secondary infertility for almost 2 years. Good luck to you!
Avatar f tn Hello...I'm 30 years old, I was on birth control pills for 12 years, stopped taking them one year ago b/c we are ttc...only got one period on my own since, and dr. thinks I have PCOS...I have tried 2 cycles of clomid, 50mg...with no luck.. now must try 100mg clomid to ttc...in May I had an ultrasound and dr. said I had cysts on my ovaries.. and it looked like "there wasn't much going on, in terms of ovulation". My question is how do you formally diagnose pcos?
1122415 tn?1264822566 Hi, I live in a place where I'd have to drive over an hour to see an RE so I am being treated by my gyn. He was doing exactly the same thing yours is- just gave me the pills and said to call if it didn't work. I was using ovulation predictor kits (OPKs) anyway and had gotten bloodwork done prior to show that I was ovulating.. but I never got follicles monitored or any of that good stuff. I think that when you're first starting, that's just how gyns roll.
688845 tn?1325182236 m curious because I to was put on 200mg vaginaly of prometrium. My hcg was at 23 and I feel thats low. I go back on Monday for a re-draw and count again.
864502 tn?1382640699 s) My question is #1 what medicine is good for this? #2 Can I still have a baby IF I get this under control? #3 Is it any ladies that is going through the same or went through what I have went through and have kids or a baby? Please let me know cause I really need someone to relate to what I am going through for support.
Avatar f tn Where are you at with your treatment? I took my first clomid yesterday (sun), today went in for blood work and next monday go in for an ult, so my life is getting busy! I guess this is Gods way of preparing us for children! Miscarriages.....well.....I was going to a provider in Florida who was my regular gyn, loved him! But unfortunatly he was not well educated in the infertility field.....he put me on clomid and I got preg the first round.
Avatar m tn I am now pregnant again and have been taking prometrium for 2 weeks now ( I am 5 weeks) and so far so good. we go for an ultrasound in 2 weeks so we are keeping our fingers crossed. Good luck to you all.
Avatar f tn I've been doing some research on prometrium . I was prescribed prometrium since the month of Feb. In Feb.,I ovulated with the help of clomid and prometrium. My progesterone levels were 34. In March my cycle never came and I contacted my Dr on Apr. 9 letting her know I never had my cycle. She schedule me to take some test to take . On 14 my cycle visited and was very weird . her instructions for the prometrium is to take on cycle day 16 and continue to take until a cycle comes.
Avatar n tn I have been on prometrium for 6 months and have found it has helped me sleep as well as with the hot flashes, I take 200mg before I go to bed. The doctor suggested I try cutting it back to 100mg but the insomnia came back so I am back on the higher dose. I now just get the odd night sweat and hardly any hot flashes during the day. It took about three weeks for it to work for me so it's probably worth sticking with.
490183 tn?1361213953 Yes, Prometrium does delay your AF. First time when i was on prometrium, i didn't get my AF until CD40.
