prometrium and bbt

Right now I am CD45 and just put on Prometrium. I had blood work done and found I have no HCG levels and progesterone levels were below 10. I am really hoping for an AF visit but I was wondering has anyone used Prometrium to get pregnant? I was thinking if it is for increasing your progesterone level during pregnancy and it can also be used to help you ovulate. Can you get pregnant by being on Prometrium?

I have been charting bbt and using opks for over a year. Every cycle except for one, I ovulated on cd17. The one exception was on cd16. So if I indeed did ovulate this month as indicated by bbt and +opk, then technically would it be okay to start prometrium in 1dpo???

i have not ovulated yet, but i have had two false ovulations (according to bbt). one cycle i got an sinus infection my temp spiked the day i started feeling sick and dropped the day after i started antibiotics. the other cycle it looked like i ovulated but i did not. doc says my lh was high enough to cause a thermal shift but not ovulation. i bought mine at walgreens it was actually labeled body basal thermometer.

I am so sorry to hear what you are going through. Do you know if you are ovulating? I know in the past I had weird periods when I wasn't ovulating. The doctor ended up prescribing prometrium, and I got pregnant the next month. I don't know if this helps, but good luck and feel free to post anytime. The ladies in here are great!!!

I would have to say yes. I took Clomid and then after I o'd I started on 200mg of Prometrium. It made me feel like a basket case, but it did the trick! Be careful with progesterone I just found out I have a cyst because of it. I am worried that the cyst will cause me to miscarry. Why can't it be easy??? We need a large amount of progesterone to sustain a pregnancy but yet it can still back fire, this just crazy to me! Good luck!

i have absent periods, i take prometrium to have a period then start clomid. this is my fourth round.

my doctor asked me do pegency test on 29th day and if it is negitive she want me to stop prometrium and wait for my periods...this is what ihave done for last 2 cycles and i doing the same thing for my 3rd cycle also.......iam taking this treatment without undergoing HSG test...will there be any problem and i feel that iam not ovulating cause iam taking my BBT...evry month....and iam sure iam not ovulating......well what r the chance of me getting pregnant...

has anyone out there taken progesterone suppositories and noticed very high (pregnancy-like) BBT even when not pregnant? Also, they say to take the test "when you would expect your period"- well, I expect my period 9 days after I ovulate. I assume I really do need to wait 14 days to get an accurate pregnancy test? Today is day 11... I'm also assuming that the progesterone would stop me from having my period, even if I'm not pregnant, right...?

t ovulate your Dr. will up your dosage and maybe give you Prometrium or some other drug to induce your AF. I’m actually surprise he didn’t induce you before you started your first dosage of Clomid. Now you can also take Clomid on different CD for instance I take my on cd3-7 some do cd5-9. Just follow your dr. orders and if you have any questions call your dr. or ask us we can try to help you as best as we can. BTW are you doing anything tests to check your ovulation: BBT, OPK, CM...?

Hello everyone! I am new here, I hope that you don't mind me posting. I had a missed miscarriage in October followed by a D&C, following that I bled on and off for a month and then got my period. My period has since been very heavy and has quite a bit of clots in it. I also get spotting at randomn times in my cycles. I went to see the doctor today and she prescribed some progesterone tablets to sort out my period.

Hi everyone.. I am 25 and i have been ttc for almost two years, this is my second month on clomid (100mg) i have not ovulated. I also don't know my cycle length b/c i don't have periods without prometrium. so i quess my cycle length to be anywhere from 40 to 45 days. i chart my bbt and take opk's (all neg). my doctor has only done bloodwork once.(normal labs).. i'm concerned because everyone else appears to get bloodwork monthly, do i need a new doctor?

I am confuse myself as well this cycle. This time my BBT goes up and down and it's stay up 98+ since CD16. I am not sure what's happen to my body this cycle. When I had my AF in Dec 28th, it's not like other cycles. It's less. Usually first day i spotted, then second, third, fourth, and fifth day i got heavy AF, then sixth day less then AF gone by seventh day. This cycle I didn't have heavy AF. just touch the panty and it's only for 3 days.

I had 2 miscarriages in the past and with this one i went on prometrium and baby aspirin although nothing was ever diagnosed either. i did not experience any bleeding as a side effect of the prometrium though. have you had a scan yet?

I had an IUI a few weeks ago and then started taking prometrium for ten days. I finished up last Wednesday so it has been 5 days. How long until I should expect my period after my last prometrium?

I took 400mg of prometrium a day and shots every other day for the first 12 weeks of my pregnancy.

I used one crinone every day and I also took two prometrium pills (am and pm). According to my RE, crinone is just as effective as the shots, if not more effective, since the hormone is delivered right there where it's needed and does not have to go through your whole system first (like the PIO shots do). I have done the cd21 bloodwork, and i chart bbt and use opk's. so far no ovulation, on my ultrasound i didn't have any mature folicles. this is my first month with clomid and metformin together. hopefully my last..my doctor said if i don't ovulate this cycle she will switch my meds, i think injections are next.

Does anyone take estrace and prometrium? I have googled information on those, but not finding what I want.

I have never engaged in any sexual activities and do not understand how I got this disease. I took Prometrium in the past to regulate my menstruate cycle. I did some research on this drug and one of side effects for this drug is Herpes. Is it possible this medicine could cause a false positive or a positive blood results for Herpes Type 2?

I went through an ovulation induction cycle and was put on prometrium (progesterone) to support a healthy lining. I am now 20 days past ovulation, no period, and three negative home pregnancy tests (it is now day 33 of my cycle and I am typically a 28 day cycle, like clockwork). I talked to the doctor today who told me to stop the prometrium and I should expect my period in 2-3 days.

I have had a migraine every day starting at around noon and lasting until I go to bed. I took prometrium prior to pregnancy for period induction which i took for 10 days and i would get a "withdrawl" migraine for a day or two. Have any of you ladies experienced this? I'm really getting sick of taking tylenol every 4 hours but my head throbs so bad i can't see straight if i don't. I called my doc today and of course he's out of the office.

ve been BDing every other to every 2 days- I figure that once i get a positive OPK or sign on my BBT chart we will go every day for 3-4 days- his count and everything else is already low so i dont want to mess with that! They only took my progesterone levels once after I started the Prometrium to make sure it was theraputic and it was in the 20's don't remember exactly. But they haven't taken it again. But I've had 4 ultrasounds where we have seen baby's heartbeat and everything is well.

First of all i pray that u get ur BFP this cycle and if things dont go the right way, i hope you go for the IUI and maybe it does the job for you, I have my fingers crossed for you, lol
