I finally convinced my gp doctor to check my hormone levels and according to the nurse they came back normal. My gp doctor had already prescribed Premarin for me to take at .3mg. daily. I have not had a hysterectomy. He did not prescribe any type of progesterone for me to take but told me to go ahead and take the Premarin. Advised me that I should see a gyn--which I already did and they did not test my hormones at all. I have terrible hot flashes every day, insomnia, anxiety and mood changes.

I've been bleeding for two months now. This has been a strange type of bleeding aside from the long time period. I started "bleeding" brownish reddish residue. That later turned into black. Then back to brown. Vice Versa. And For the past week have been bleeding red with dark blackish reddish clumps. I have not stopped bleeding for more than 3 hours straight. What is wrong with my body? I have been on depo provera for a long time. Would this have anything to do with my issue?
Went back to GP who changed me to Brevicon which is a stronger pill. Have now been on this for nearly a week and still breakthrough bleeding continues. Should I continue to take the pill as I am very tempted to stop altogether as having irregular periods was better than continuous bleeding for nearly 4 weeks! Any advice would be appreciated.
At 4 weeks it's possible it's breakthrough bleeding from your period. I bled for a few days at exactly 4 weeks with both of my pregnancies because of breakthrough bleeding, but it was fine. The only time spotting turned out to mean I had a problem was when I spotted at 11 weeks.

It sounds like breakthrough bleeding from your pill, that doesn't leave the uterus very soon, so it has a chance to lie around and break up. By flaky, I assume you don't mean like coconut flakes, but moist and sort of grainy?
So he gave me Provera 10mg for 10 days and tells me to stop taking Premarin. Two weeks later I come back for sonogram, and the findings above is what I see on the paperwork, but, the doctor comes in and says.,have you ever had a biopsy of the uterus? I said I don't think so, he says I would like to do one, your uterus is large and we wanna make sure you don't have pc, or uterine cancer?
And also being on the pill will change the appearance, timing, and length of your period. Nothing in your post is any cause for concern. But if the breakthrough bleeding continues then you may have to switch to a different pill. Which is also not a big deal and a common thing to happen.
Hi! I just started Minastrin about three weeks ago. I was off of birth control for several months and the doctor at the women's clinic I visited suggested this birth control. Since it has been so long, I did miss a pill in the second week, but as soon as I noticed I took it. I don't know if that's the cause of bleeding, but for the last five days I've had some significant "breakthrough" bleeding.
I’ve taken 4 pills since the mishap and yesterday started experiencing breakthrough bleeding and agonising cramps!! Is this a ‘period’? Should I continue with the rest of the packet and have my 7 day break at the end like normal? I had sex on the Tues+Thurs after the missed pills, what are the chances I could fall pregnant from that?

However (and I have never had this problem before) I was taking the pill (yasmin) for only a week or so after my last period when I started bleeding again. It had been like a normal period so far and has lasted for nearly two weeks. I have no Idea what's causing this as I usually have regular periods despite the UD.
