I usually don't feel it working, Caffeine will counter act mine as well as stress and anything else negative in my life. I also started to take 2 pills then backed off cause it keeps me wired at night. Since I have been on this I have to say it never helped me lose weight but it kept me from thinking about pigging out and if you work out on it, it helps out so much and works better. I drank tons of water on it the dry mouth I hated!
5mg by my doctor and was told to sign up for weight watchers. I have been doing this for 7 weeks now and I have lost 22lbs. But this week I started walking 45mins a day and Im well below my points for weight watcher and I have gained 2 whole pounds this week. Im doing everything right so why am i gaining if im taking the meds doing weight watchers drinking plenty of water and walking? its just so frusturating.
I have taken phentermine for weight loss under the direction of a doctor and lost 40lbs. I feel great. I'm continuing with the same exercise and diet regimine (weight watchers), that I was on while taking the phentermine and I seem to be putting some weight back on. I dont quite understand this. I was wondering if anyone knows of any over the counter medications that help to supress appetite because it seems the only way i'll stay thin is to practicly starve myself.
I am about 30-40 lbs overweight and some of my friends and co-workers have been doing the medical weight loss with the B-12 shots and Phentermine pills. I am so scared to take the pills because I am terrified about my heart. I feel I don't have a lot of options because due to constantly being depressed and having anxiety about the skipped beats I eat to make myself feel better. I know it's the easy way out but I would love to do it and get the weight off.
i started my weight loss program last month and i have lost 22 pounds so far. the medications i am taking is phentermine 37.5 and triamterene 37.5. i have tried so many expensive programs like jenny craig and weight watchers. don't get me wrong i lost weight but never this fast and easy. my doctor also suggested an injection absorbs fat in your midsection. i am really excited about my weight loss.
My doctor also prescribed taking metformin(glucophage) in addition to the phentermine and birth control. I have lost about 8 pounds in the last month since taking the phentermine but i dont feel like I am losing enough weight for how little i have been eating.
m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????
I've been taking monthly B12 injections for about 2 years, and 37.5 mg phentermine daily for about a month, and I haven't lost any weight at all. The four and a half pounds that I've lost, I attribute to the boot camp that joined two weeks ago.
If you were my patient, I would advise you that phentermine should not affect your depo shot. Depo is notoriously bad for causing weight gain.
Just something to consider.

I'm 32 years old and have struggled with both Adhd and weight problems. I went to see my doctor and he put me on phentermine 37.5mg once a day and topamax 23 mg in half doeses twice dailey. I also take adderall 20mg twice Dailey. I asked him if theses two meds who interact with one another and his response was no . I guess my question is how do I safely spread them out during the day. It seems I can't get it right because when I take either or I get very anxious .
Has anyone done this diet and seen the results they were looking for? I'm very interested in Weight Watchers and would like to hear people's experiences to know I'm not going to wasting my time and money..... Any responses are welcome. THANKS.
Ive been a weight watchers member for 9 weeks now and have not lost any weight. Im very frustrated I was diagnosed with Hashimotos/Hypothyroid last Sept and im taking synthroid as a result. My levels were normal ( 1.0) last December. Am i to expect SSLOOOOOOOW results because I am just frustrated. Is there anyone out there that has any suggestions of how im going to loose this weight (15 pounds)??
This helps me alot maybe now my husband will get off my back about weight watchers . He is on this weight watchers diet and is doing so good well i keep telling him that i can't do both and i know i need the carbs to put in my pump . He gose no you just eat like weight watchers and add the carbs in too ur pump don't worry about the carbs is this right ? i know it sounds like the same question but it isn't .

I have Hypothyroidism and have been trying to lose 10lbs for the past couple of years, I spoke to a pharmacist and she suggested I ask my doctor for Phentermine.
Has anyone tried this before and is it safe with taking Amour Thyroid 180mg. I'm 5'8" and weigh 152 and want to be 143, I work out 6x's a week cardio for 45-60 mins. and every other day 30 mins weight lifting.
You make a great point that weight loss medication like phentermine is not a long term weight loss solution. If you do go back to old habits, you might expect to gain back the weight that you lost. But the good news is that you're in a good starting place and you are still motivated to keep it going. Good luck!

I was having much difficulty losing weight so I went to a Weight Loss Clinic, where they perscribed phentermine, hydrochlorthiazide and a fiber pill with calcium. I was wondering how dangerous this is and if I could/should stop my antidressant/anxiety medications abruptly or ween myself of them while I am on the weight loss pills.
