Phentermine is for weight loss and not many Doctors prescribe it which is why I am wondering why yours has. Either way...dont take the Celexa and Synthroid together at the same time. Synthroid must be taken on its own with water and then the other meds at least an hour later. I take a heart med first thing in the morning then my T4 med an hour later as sill me decided one morning to take them together and I felt as if I was walking on the moon!

m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????

d say your weight loss is due more to your diet/exercise change than to the B12/phentermine....... as I said before, I take weekly B12 shots and they do nothing for weight loss. The phentermine may help control your cravings/food intake, but how long can you take that, and what will happen when you stop it?

I am guessing that you see two different doctors. One for weight loss and one for your ADHD/anxiety. I was having much difficulty losing weight so I went to a Weight Loss Clinic, where they perscribed phentermine, hydrochlorthiazide and a fiber pill with calcium. I was wondering how dangerous this is and if I could/should stop my antidressant/anxiety medications abruptly or ween myself of them while I am on the weight loss pills.

I've had the same reactions to the phentermine..ive been taking mine since june 25th, and the day i started taking it, i got on the treadill at home and did some interval training for 30 min and the next morning i had lost 4 pounds (i used to do the lipo b shots too, but wasnt at that time) and the first week n a half, i wouldnt eat a thing unless i reminded myself to eat. it was like the part of my body that creates those hunger pains had just dissappeared?!?!

I am currently taking phentermine and chromium to help with craving carbs and to stop hunger. They really do help. Maybe talk to your doc to see if that might help.

You make a great point that weight loss medication like phentermine is not a long term weight loss solution. If you do go back to old habits, you might expect to gain back the weight that you lost. I started Phentermine and B-12 in Feb 2012 I lost 4lbs the first two weeks. 6.5 lbs the 2nd two weeks and none the 3rd two weeks. It then took me 3 weeks to lose 3 more lbs.
