phentermine

995335 tn?1251479506 I have been reading all these post about losing tons of weight with phentermine and B12 shots but I am wondering are there any negative side effects to phentermine & B12 shots? I have really been thinking about doing this for the last few months but I have been hesitant because I am unsure of the problems it could create/cause. Any of you out there have any personal experiences to tell?
Avatar f tn I recently started using the pink phentermine tablets to lose weight and I was very nauseous and awful headaches thankfully they went away but now my hands are so itchy and a bit red I don’t know if this is dangerous or not this isn’t my first time using them it never happened any other time
Avatar m tn i am really excited about my weight loss. the only negative aspects are slight headaches and if you do not take the phentermine early enough in the morning it will keep you up at night because it gives you so much energy. and the triamterene is a water pill. most of my weight was water retention. guys if you really want to loose the weight fast this is the way to go!!
Avatar f tn d never recommend phentermine, even though it does work for weight loss. The problem is that when people stop taking it, they almost always gain back everything they lost, plus some.
Avatar f tn You just started yesterday? Wow...I took my first today of the phentermine 30mg. I was told they would mail me the lipo b injections since the clinic is so far from where I live. I am totally not used to the phentermine and am having trouble sleeping. I have eaten far less today than I usually do. I have not been hungry at all. So it's definately working. Could some of the loss you experienced be water? The doc I went to said that can happen.
Avatar m tn Go to weight loss doctor and see if you can get on phentermine pill..
494656 tn?1209640771 there is a weight loss clinic in Wilmington, NC that perscribes Phentermine. It is called Physicians Weight Loss Clinic. Randall parkway.
Avatar n tn m in chicago but you can try your primary care doctor or try looking for a doctor that specializes in weight loss. the Dr. that I see is a cardiologists but does the weight management also. My sister got them from her regular doc.
Avatar f tn Does anyone here have experience with Phentermine? My doctor let me talk him into it for weight loss last June. It's supposed to be only taken for 8-12 weeks, but since I've kept losing weight and my blood pressure stays low, he's kept refilling my prescription. I take 37.5 mg once a day. I know this drug is a stimulant, etc. and it can become addictive. Every once in a while-- like today-- I don't take it, just to see if *not* taking it bugs me.
Avatar m tn You make a great point that weight loss medication like phentermine is not a long term weight loss solution. If you do go back to old habits, you might expect to gain back the weight that you lost. But the good news is that you're in a good starting place and you are still motivated to keep it going. Good luck! Dr. B www.theflexdiet.
Avatar m tn Since being diagnosed I have started taking a half tablet of phentermine to control my appetite in an effort to lose weight. I also started taking birth control again. My doctor also prescribed taking metformin(glucophage) in addition to the phentermine and birth control. I have lost about 8 pounds in the last month since taking the phentermine but i dont feel like I am losing enough weight for how little i have been eating.
Avatar f tn Finally, a few months ago I found this forum and I heard about a prescription weight loss pill, phentermine 37.5 mg. I read so many comments from people that had such great results that I decided to do some research on it myself. After I did my research, I decided to give it a try. Im soooo glad I did! I started taking phentermine 37.5 mg in the first week of February 2008 and I have already lost 20 pounds!!!!
Avatar n tn m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????
Avatar f tn Hi does anyone know of a weight loss clinic in Houston that will prescribe phentermine. I am 5'3 and i have recently gained 10 lbs and now I weigh 143 lbs..I went to a weight loss clinic that I went to a couple of years ago to lose wight, but they will not prescrie it to me, the say that I am not overweight enough. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
877371 tn?1240237527 Personally, I would be concerned with phentermine alone, let alone in combination with the other medications. Studies show that successful weight loss usually involves a lifestyle change that involves better and more nutritional food choices. Any weight that may be lost while taking phentermine or other "diet pills" has not been approved as a safe way to lose weight and research shows that weight is normally regained and usually in excess from where a person began.
Avatar f tn I am guessing that you see two different doctors. One for weight loss and one for your ADHD/anxiety. I say this because Basically phentermine is a stimulant (works like adderall), but works differently then adderall. I am not sure you should be taking it with adderall. "Phentermine use is containdicated in those who are: Taking amphetamine (i.e. Adderall, Dexedrine, Vyvanse), in the last 14 days" This quote is from - http://en.wikipedia.
Avatar n tn Widely hailed as the "wonder pill" of weight loss, this is one of the oldest and most commonly prescribed of this type of medication. Developed in the 1950's, it gained approval from the FDA in 1959 as a short term slimming aid, and has been used by thousands of dieters in the last 45 years.
Avatar f tn I'd say your weight loss is due more to your diet/exercise change than to the B12/phentermine....... as I said before, I take weekly B12 shots and they do nothing for weight loss. The phentermine may help control your cravings/food intake, but how long can you take that, and what will happen when you stop it?
2092846 tn?1332978512 Phentermine is associated with modest weight loss in some people, but not in everyone. And as with all weight loss medications, once a person discontinues the medication, the weight tends to come back.
Avatar n tn Synthroid is a "Pregnancy Category A." Which is safer than Tylenol (which is a "B"). But you should always confirm all medications with your doctor. Are you on Synthroid for thyroid issues or weight loss? He'd probably keep you on for thyroid problems, but with pregnancy, weight loss isn't safe.
Avatar f tn Neither of these drugs are supposed to cause weight gain either. Phentermine is a stimulant/appetite suppressant. I am going to try liposage slim wrap this week and see if that helps.
Avatar n tn Many physicians are not comfortable prescribing multiple weight loss medications at the same time out of concern for increased risk of side effects. Also keep in mind that phentermine is not generally recommended in the long term. It may make more sense to just stick with one of the weight loss medications to see if there are any beneficial effects. It's also a good time to think carefully about how the weight loss occurred while on the new medication.
Avatar f tn 7 and lost three pounds the first two weeks then two for the next two then i stopped and continued on my own becuase after a while your weight loss gradually stops and you have to work out more intensively. although once off the pills you tend to binge but be strong..
Avatar f tn Crying all the time with panic attacks and scared feelings as well as sleeping issues. I got mine from a weight loss clinic who explained to me it is not the phentermine causing any of this. I feel like a different person snapping at my family who tells me I am different now also. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW LONG IT CAN LAST? Am I crazy did anyone else experience any of these issues.
Avatar f tn No personal experience of phentermine but a quick google tells me it's an appetite supressant? You still need to eat, otherwise you won't lose weight. Hopefully someone with experience will be along soon.
