is something wrong with the scale or did i really lose that much and how dangerous is it too lose weight that quickly? also is there a way that i can not lose so fast? i just want to lose weight the healthy way.... please help!!!

I am guessing that you see two different doctors. One for weight loss and one for your ADHD/anxiety. I say this because Basically phentermine is a stimulant (works like adderall), but works differently then adderall. I am not sure you should be taking it with adderall. You make a great point that weight loss medication like phentermine is not a long term weight loss solution. If you do go back to old habits, you might expect to gain back the weight that you lost. I am suspicious of any diet pill for long term weight loss. You could ask your doctor for a referral to a dietician if this is a possibility. That's what I did. The dietician was very helpful. Don't know if this is true, but I've heard diet pills can be dangerous because of the ingredients in the diet pills. I'm not familiar with slimquick or slimquick hoodia but as I mentioned I am suspicious of all diet pills. Loosing weight too quickly is also not good.

Crying all the time with panic attacks and scared feelings as well as sleeping issues. I got mine from a weight loss clinic who explained to me it is not the phentermine causing any of this. I have to agree with Peek. The problem with any drug used for weight loss is there are side effects known and possibly not known. Plus these drugs are only effective if used in combination with a proper diet, exercise and behavior modification. Heck, you can lose weight without these drugs if you just follow the proper diet, exercise and behavior modification recommendation. I joined WW on 1/17/08 and have lost 13 pounds to date. Granted, this is slow progress but it IS progress.

m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????

I'd say your weight loss is due more to your diet/exercise change than to the B12/phentermine....... as I said before, I take weekly B12 shots and they do nothing for weight loss. The phentermine may help control your cravings/food intake, but how long can you take that, and what will happen when you stop it?

I have increased my exercise on my Elliptical (30-60min/day) and started to eat healthier. How long does it take for phentermine to kick in? Any advice? Anything I should say to my physcian?

Many physicians are not comfortable prescribing multiple weight loss medications at the same time out of concern for increased risk of side effects. Phentermine is for weight loss and not many Doctors prescribe it which is why I am wondering why yours has. Either way...dont take the Celexa and Synthroid together at the same time. Synthroid must be taken on its own with water and then the other meds at least an hour later. I take a heart med first thing in the morning then my T4 med an hour later as sill me decided one morning to take them together and I felt as if I was walking on the moon!
