Avatar f tn Okay so I can't go to the gym. I get really bad anxiety, like I'll go to walk through the door and start crying. I've always been this way. I walk an hour a day but I'm trying to get in shape and loose 10lbs for vacation in August.
Avatar f tn I walk/jog, elliptical, prenatal yoga.
1430240 tn?1290434023 is this true? because i have that p90x disc set..and theres a yoga and pilates that i was going to do..
Avatar f tn s mild (like walking or gentle yoga). Does anyone have experience with more vigorous exercise? Nothing crazy (no p90X or anything), but something that does elevate the heart rate a little bit? I'm not very in shape right now, but I know that improving, or at least maintaining my current level of fitness will be beneficial for me and baby. I'm really early in (4 weeks, 5 days) and I'd like to do some strength training, like using kettlebells. Thanks!!
Avatar m tn They did have an erg which I liked. Anyway, I ended up trying the P90X workout for 90 days and it was awesome. The workouts las about an hour with 10 minute warmup and 6 to 7 cool downs and are very diverse in nature which is by design. All you need is a few dumbells and if you can a pull up bar. The workout DVD's cost about $120 and I was unsure of it when I looked into it. But having been able to try it out first. Best value ever.

Avatar n tn I know when i was doing the workout out program p90x my body was looking ok and i was 157 i was gaining muscle so i guess thats the key everyone says i still look good but i wear mens pants i went from a size almost 32 to a size 36ish comfortably i can squeeze into 34. But i notice my lower stomach the skin is not tight as it was when working out. So try the whole muscle training thing its tough but give its try at this point anythings worth trying right.
Avatar f tn stay away from white pasta and bread, stick to multi grain and or rice pasta. workout at least 3 times a week, make sure your workout includes both cardiovascular exercises as well as some strength training such as lifting weights to help tone and trim so that as the weight is being dropped every thing is also being lifted into place. Try out p90x ! that's what I do, it's a hard work out but it works .
Avatar f tn I have been doing 7 miles a day on the stair stepper, but I am having trouble losing the weight. I plan on going back to bikram yoga in another 2 months when the twins are on solids and I can leave them for 2 hours at a time. My goal is to be back in a size 4 by September. What are you ladies doing to drop the weight? How is it going?
Avatar f tn I really recommend pregnancy yoga in your 2nd and 3rd trimester, before that aqua aerobics, swimming, normal yoga and Pilates, gym workout, light jog, stationary bike and cross trainer, anything really as long as you are feeling well and comfortable doing it.
10256164 tn?1408981241 I'm not that far along yet but I usually do a hard work out such as insanity or p90x ect... are we allowed to still do these and just take it a bit easier?
Avatar m tn Ran my 6 miles Monday afternoon and P90X that evening. Hour of cardio yesterday and today + my P90X shoulders and arms later today. It's not as intense as it was but I've been laying low for 3 weeks so that's to be expected. But I'm happy to say it's not too far off! No weight gain either which is nice.
Avatar f tn Yoga yoga yoga!!!! Make sure it's prenatal though. Its so good for you and your babies :) helps in labor and delivery too!
Avatar f tn I've been so tired and nauseous that it's been really hard to motivate myself to go to the gym. If I'm up for it, I will do a moderate workout with light weights and 30 min on the elliptical. I'm trying to do prenatal yoga once a week and also will be trying an at home prenatal workout video. It's justt so hard to motivate! My midwife said that lots of women who are used to working out simply stop during their first trimester since they feel so bad.
Avatar f tn I never did yoga unil now my 2nd pregnancy and your right it's beautiful I love learning how to control my body and breathing all while focusing on my unborn baby aswell and incorporating it all together as one, I absolutely love it and i enjoy it as a hobby not as a workout which is even better :)
Avatar f tn I found my prenatal workout dvds for a dollar at the thrift store...winninngg!! Lol i got two but the one im most fond of is Leisa Harts fitmama prenatal workout. The excerises are not hard at all and get my blood pumping. She shows alot of good stretches as well.
1134902 tn?1296066144 On september 28th I started a intenses workout program...P90X, which is 60 minutes of strenuous excersise 6 days a week. I gained 10 lbs with no change in measurements, but my muscles are pretty big now. However after starting the program my cycles changed. sept to oct cycle was 26 days, oct to nov cycle was 25 days and the I spotted after every workout and some mornings for the week ovulation was possible to occur. My November to december cycle then lasted 32 days.
Avatar f tn Yoga and walking are great exercises for keeping the muscles toned. Check out Fit Pregnancy (magazine, website, or Facebook page) they always have great safe pregnancy workouts.
Avatar f tn Prenatal yoga I think its what its called :) I haven't been able to do much of it because it got a little harder as my belly grew lol so I stuck with walking lol
Avatar f tn @shelbyhower yes! Lol I want to feel my workout and see results and with yoga I feel like its a lot of awkward movement and then I'm done... and I'm like but where's the burn? Lol.
1253186 tn?1304783542 I have done P90X - it is very well done, but also very time consuming - up to 1.5 hours a day. I felt that it was pretty easy to stick with for the first month, but then the videos became a bit repetitive. All in all, a great program though if you have the time. It does require a pull-up bar and some weights. Good luck!
4845170 tn?1369102292 I just started my third tri but since I found out I was pregnant I have done stretches as squats nearly every day, as the weather got warmer into my second I began to walk at least 3 times a week n started doing prenatal yoga for beginners but it makes me feel the best...I strongly suggest the yoga its great for repaxing n stretching and for a small amount of strengthening (if that's a word haha) I'm hoping all these things help when labor comes.
Avatar m tn My question is, how do I gradually get back into the swing of dieting and exercise without killing myself? Thanks for listening. Also I have been thinking of doing the workout program, P90X, any good or bad news about it?
Avatar f tn I start PT next week, hoping, I can get some muscle strength back before I go to work and so I can ease back into my workout routines, starting with P90X and hoping to get back into jiu-jitsu at some point within the next year.
