yoga

1253186 tn?1304783542 I"m not familiar with either of these programs, but I seem to remember one of our members has ordered the P90X, I think. I'm very sorry, but right off hand, I can't remember which one it was. Hopefully, she will see your post and answer or I will remember who it was and contact her for you....... Personally, I like yoga for toning and all around exercise. It works the entire body AND helps you relax. My favorite dvd is "Biggest Loser, Yoga for Weight Loss".
Avatar f tn s mild (like walking or gentle yoga). Does anyone have experience with more vigorous exercise? Nothing crazy (no p90X or anything), but something that does elevate the heart rate a little bit? I'm not very in shape right now, but I know that improving, or at least maintaining my current level of fitness will be beneficial for me and baby. I'm really early in (4 weeks, 5 days) and I'd like to do some strength training, like using kettlebells. Thanks!!
1430240 tn?1290434023 is this true? because i have that p90x disc set..and theres a yoga and pilates that i was going to do..
Avatar f tn I walk/jog, elliptical, prenatal yoga.
Avatar f tn I walk 2 miles a day since shortly before I got pregnant and also started doing prenatal yoga before I got pregnant and still do. Exercise is good and very healthy during pregnancy! There is very little that being pregnant limits you to.
10256164 tn?1408981241 I'm not that far along yet but I usually do a hard work out such as insanity or p90x ect... are we allowed to still do these and just take it a bit easier?
Avatar m tn You need to work up to 30-60 mins per day of aerobic exercise at 80-85% of your target heart rate (220-age) x .80 to lose weight. The more you do, the more you lose but this is the threshold for you cardiac health. Take it slow and work up to a steady routine. Don't over do it at first as it will make it less enjoyable and less likely to become a habit. Whatever you do, get your doctor's approval first. Also, get your diet under control, no empty carbs like sugars, breads and pastas.
Avatar f tn 5‘5 i always have problem wz my weight so i exercise alot, i love food especially carbs, pasta n all.but now i dont lift heavy weights anymore no squats, i just walk but i walk on incline treadmill for 2 miles 3-4 times a week.
Avatar f tn com/article/166946-hernia-abdominal-exercises/#ixzz1xVRcv100 What I am not clear is that if you feel hungry it may be that you are consuming the sufficient amount of calories for the designed exercise program since high impact exercise programs will deplete your glycogen stores ( burning muscle). It is not bad but I would lower the intensity or combine with other sorts of mild strength training exercises.
Avatar f tn So I'm 30 weeks pregnant and have to find a new way to exercise. I I've in Wisconsin and the wind shield is already below ten. So it's too cold for me to be going on daily walks. Would yoga be a good alternative? Or what can I do as an alternative so I'm still getting my exercise.
Avatar f tn I use one for yoga and abs but if I'm able to, I'll use it for labor too.
4845170 tn?1369102292 I just started my third tri but since I found out I was pregnant I have done stretches as squats nearly every day, as the weather got warmer into my second I began to walk at least 3 times a week n started doing prenatal yoga for beginners but it makes me feel the best...I strongly suggest the yoga its great for repaxing n stretching and for a small amount of strengthening (if that's a word haha) I'm hoping all these things help when labor comes.
5806286 tn?1375050370 I have a very physical job. I'm on my feet for 10-12 hours a night nearly constantly walking/moving around. I'm being reminded over and over to exercise, but honestly all I want to do after work is shower and rest. Is that bad? I feel like a lazy bum, but I'm moving so much at work. Any opinions?
Avatar m tn m a relatively active 38 year old man 1830mm 87 kg, healthy diet, smoker and occasional drinker. Currently my exercise is walking quite a bit (at least an hour a day, recommendation is 1/2 hour min) and a physically active job. My lack of strength shows at work. Sundays I use strap on weights on my walk. Going to the gym is out of the question - too expensive and impractical to get to after work (though I'm looking for a job at a place with a gym).
Avatar f tn I know they say that water aerobics and light excersizes are good to treat the fibro pain, but whta about hitting the gym to do a normal exercise routine? i have been working out on & off the past few days and my body feels like ****! it seems that when i pull a muscle its 50x worse than it was before i started suffering from fibro. im just trying to figure out if working out will show some long term affects in reducing pain or if im only making things worse.
Avatar f tn I have been doing 7 miles a day on the stair stepper, but I am having trouble losing the weight. I plan on going back to bikram yoga in another 2 months when the twins are on solids and I can leave them for 2 hours at a time. My goal is to be back in a size 4 by September. What are you ladies doing to drop the weight? How is it going?
Avatar f tn Cuz i wanna lose fast before christmas x and im not gonna lie x im a very lazy person xx so can sumone give me sum advice plzzzzzz!!!!
649848 tn?1534633700 walking, running; yoga, bicycling, going to the gym, videos/dvd's, etc. You can have more than one. Please let us know WHAT you prefer and WHY (how you benefit most from it). I'll go first: Some of you who have been around for a while, will know that my favorite is yoga. Yoga centers on breathing, balance and stretching. For me, it take immense concentration to achieve and hold the postures properly.
Avatar f tn What yoga positions are of limits of actually number one on my list. I do yoga everyday and I'm not sure which ones I can't do.
1281428 tn?1298328581 Do you think there should be a pilates section in the list on exercise evolved in your exercise tracker? I have bin just adding it to my yoga count I don't think they burn the same amount do you agree with me?
Avatar f tn I'm 29 weeks, I take walks in the park some days and others, I go to the pool..that's usually when my feet hurt too much to walk. Try long walks, and going to the pool. ;) they're a litte less tiring than yoga ..
Avatar n tn This was several months ago and by now I have far less pain. However, I get pain when I do the deadlift exercise in the gym which involves picking a weight (barbell) off the ground. Why do I have pain with the deadlift? Why did I get back pain because he popped my back? Thank you.
Avatar n tn I also cough during workouts. Sometime a lot, sometime no cough at all. I exercise 6 days a week doing HIIT traing and P90x. I am never short of breath during strenuous exercise. I am a fit, muscular 38 year old male, 6 feet 1inch tall and 190lbs, I have chronic sinusitis and post nasal drip. I had a pretty recent x-ray that showed peribronchiial cuffing. ( I work with Radiologists and they said it means I probably have an asthmatic like condition).
