Avatar n tn 99% of ovarian cysts, masses, and tumors are benign. The symptoms for cancer are the same for benign cysts, too.
Avatar f tn Make sure you have your timing just right. Endomitriosis ovarian cysts run in my family my mom had three successful pregnancies with it. My sister had surgery to have hers scraped off when she was 15-20 and she has had two children since then.
1482581 tn?1289070444 I had a laparotomy in 1986 for a complex cyst and had many other cysts afte that. I did have two successful pregnancies in 1099 and 2003. In 2007, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I am the minority in that I did have a malignancy. But, you can definitely have many ovarian issues and still have healthy pregnancies. Keep the faith, work with yoru doctor and conceive when you feel it is the right time. It think you will be fine.
Avatar f tn My partner has just been told she has a fibroid in her uterus and a complex ovarian cyst on her right ovary. She has been referred to a local office of gynecologists who actually specialize in fertility and pregnancies. Wouldn't it be more appropriate for her to be referred directly to a gynecological oncologist so there is no more waste of time to discover whether or not the cyst is cancerous?
Avatar n tn There is some fluid seen within the endocervical canal. My ovaries are normal in size but there are simple bilatral ovarian cysts measuring 1.7 x 1.7 x 1.4 cm and 0.8 x 1.1 x 0.8 cm with additional follicles noted within the left ovary. No free intrapelvic fluid noted. I would like to know my treatment options.
Avatar f tn If you have an ovarian cyst does that pretty much cancel getting pregnant until sorted out, do you not ovulate on the other side?
Avatar n tn ) were you taking any fertility meds to get pregnant, or do you have a history of ovarian cysts? it could be an ovarian cyst, normal cramping during pregnancy or an ectopic pregnancy (hopefully not) typically ectopics dont' start hurting this early in pregnancy, but anything is possible.. sometimes its just your uterus stretching since the little bean is snuggling in for the long nine months ahead... Have you had your beta serum pregnancy levels checked??
Avatar f tn Anechoic cysts tend to be filled with fluid so that is a good sign. Cysts related to ovarian cancer tend to be complex (with solid parts) and grow larger than 5cm. Most cysts (even complex ones) turn out to be benign. It is the general recommendation to watch and wait cysts that are simple and under 5cm. But, since your cyst is already 4.1 cm., I can see why your doctor has mentioned surgery as a possibility. It is possible for your cyst to go away on its own in time.
Avatar f tn hi there!!!I I NEED some answer...I just been operated from ovarian cysts(left side) and it's been two months. I'm planning to start a family now that I'm turning 30...but I'm afraid that the cyst may come back. Is it possible? Then can I get pregnant easily? Is after 6 month after the operation is okay to conceive a baby?
Avatar f tn In September 07, I had a miscarriage and while at the hospital the doctor discover the first of many ovarian cysts. They prepped me for emergency surgery and the next thing I knew I was in a hospital room post surgery with a huge cut across my whole stomach. Now I'm pregnant, just a few weeks & my doctor will not see me until after 8 weeks. The question I have is what type of delivery should I expect if I am able to carry this baby?
Avatar f tn so i am going for a repeat ultrasound next week. Not sure what to think of this! I did some research and know that cysts are common in pregnancy just not sure what he doesnt like about it. Baby is doing ok though so that is good! To top it off i also found out i have a gallstone this pregnancy ( after some excruiating pain and spending the night in emerge) and my gallbladder will have to be removed hopefully after baby is born if i can make it.
Avatar f tn Hi, At the age of 24 years with prior history of ovarian cysts, you need to firstly look for any residual cysts and you must rule out PCOS. This can be one of the reasons that can prevent a pregnancy. Hormonal assay, ultrasound scan of the pelvis and ovulation tracking must be done. Consult your Doctor for an evaluation. The answer is based on information provided. Exact advice is not possible without a proper examination and investigations. You are requested to consult your Doctor.
Avatar n tn does having hemorragic cysts in menopause increase your chances of having ovarian cancer? They seem to stay on for about 8 months then burst.
Avatar n tn t feel it is related in any way to my prior cysts. Most of the time, those who have cysts do NOT get ovarian cancer. That is just my experience. Good luck with your MRI. This test will definitely give you more information about your cyst.
117065 tn?1280874407 Hello. My husband and I have been ttc for number 2 for 3 1/2 years, I am now only 27 and he is 29. My first pregnancy was in Feb of 04 which ended in a D&C due to blighted ovum. My next two pregnancies ended early (around 6 wks) both of them with good HCG's and then had an ovarian cyst rupture (with both) and within days my HCG dropped by about half. My last pregnancy was in August of 06 with perfectly doubling HCG, had a cyst rupture, and then #'s dropped by half.
551604 tn?1333983135 I have also got a second opinion and I have been told that cyst are common in pregnancies sometimes they dissolve sometimes they don't. some people risk, the surgery some risk and wait till the baby is born for surgery. please keep me posted. I pray all goes well for you and the baby.
20856774 tn?1638158155 It sounds more like an ovarian cyst, if it is too early to test for pregnancy. Ectopics typically don't hurt in the first couple of weeks after ovulation, since the first six days they aren't even implanted (they are still in a shell and can't implant until day 5 or 6 after ovulation). Ovarian cysts can hurt pretty much any time after they form, which would be a few days after ovulation. Wait until your period is due, and if the pain gets worse go see your doc.
Avatar f tn Very few cysts (including complex ones) are malignant so the odds are very much in your favor. Most cysts resolve on their own, no treatment needed. Some cysts that appear to be complex on imaging are actually multiple simple cysts which give the appearance of one cyst with septations (hence complex appearance). 5 cm is still on the small side and it seems in most cases this would warrant monitoring it via periodic ultrasounds.
Avatar f tn s good they will have a onc on standby if the biopsy comes back positive I was concerned about the swellng in my uterus more than anything.
Avatar n tn Oh, how I wish we knew why these happen. There really isn't a rhyme or reason. I do know that it could be hormone related. Continue to push and listen to your doctors. I do have a friend who had two surgeries due to cysts in her mid 20's and it has been 10 years and two successful pregnancies later without any more problems. Good luck with everything.
Avatar f tn Could be something else. I had ovarian cysts thats caused my cycles to go wacky. If you want to find out for sure if you are pg you need an hcg blood test from the dr. Good luck.
