Avatar f tn I have a friend who had two episodes of cysts with surgery and then nothing more and went on to have two successful pregnancies.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had ovarian cysts and had trouble concieving or had them and still got pregnant? I do, and ive been trying to get pregnant for almost a year and its really starting to feel like its never gonna happen...
Avatar n tn It sounds like you have ovarian cysts. They often cause pain during sex and before or after your period. I would definitely get it checked out. They are usually not dangerous, but in a few cases can have serious complications. They wont find it on a pap- they need to palpitate the ovaries and do an ultrasound to find them. Hope this helps!
Avatar m tn Hello, my name is Keri. Once in a while, it seems during ovulation, or a week before my period I start to feel nausea. This has decreased some, since I have been trying to do gluten free and dairy free. I had blood tests run for numerous things, and the Gyn also ran some tests to see if possible Ovarian cancer. All the tests came back fine. They think that it may be perimenopausal? does this sound possible. I am 39.
1482581 tn?1289070444 I had a laparotomy in 1986 for a complex cyst and had many other cysts afte that. I did have two successful pregnancies in 1099 and 2003. In 2007, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I am the minority in that I did have a malignancy. But, you can definitely have many ovarian issues and still have healthy pregnancies. Keep the faith, work with yoru doctor and conceive when you feel it is the right time. It think you will be fine.
Avatar m tn I had a vaginal ultrasound for a simple ovarian cyst my gynecologist is monitoring since last november 2017. It is currently 5.5 x 5.1 x 5.1 cm. She says its simple and isn't too worried but i have terrible back pain so im getting it removed in 3 weeks. In the vaginal ultrasound they also noticed something abnormal in my uterus. The lower uterine segment to be exact. What could that be??A uterine cyst? Does cystic mean cysts?
Avatar f tn I hve a history of ovarian cysts with my last pregnancy and thos one as well! However I got them in between my pregnancies! I have to hve mine closely monitored bc I my grandmother passed away from ovarian cancer!!!! Not trying to scare you hun, but I'm sure it's just a part of your pregnancy! As long as you and baby are fine, don't worry! Just make sure you keep getting checked out when you feel you need to! Good luck!
Avatar n tn 99% of ovarian cysts, masses, and tumors are benign. The symptoms for cancer are the same for benign cysts, too.
Avatar n tn I suffer from ovarian cysts. I have talked to several gynos an all of them jave told me that if you suffer from ovarian cysts that they can actually burst and most of the time you wont even know they burst because they burst during your period. I dont have it every month but i do have it every couple months. They isnt much they can do except treat the pain if your have cysts unless they are very big. These can be found by getting a simple an quick ultrasound.
Avatar f tn Hi, Cysts are very very common in younger women and only 5% are malignant. Is your partner premenopausal? . If you check the top right of this page under "Health Pages" you will find a lot of information about cysts. Seeing the Gynecologist first is the usual procedure... How was the cyst detected? Through a Transvaginal Ultrasound? .What is the size? If there is the slightest suspicion that it is malignant , then a gynecologist /Oncologist is certainly called upon.
Avatar f tn When the follicles are forming small cysts may be present in the normal ovary. These ovarian cysts which start during the normal function of menstrual cycle are called functional cysts which are of two types follicular cyst and corpus luteal cyst. Most of these cysts are harmless and disappear over a period of time. They are usually asymptomatic. In few patients cysts may cause menstrual irregularities, pelvic pain. In such cases medical help should be sought.
Avatar m tn Also check out the ovarian cyst forum at medhelp for discussion of the managements of ovarian cysts that are not related to ovarin cancer good luck
Avatar n tn ) were you taking any fertility meds to get pregnant, or do you have a history of ovarian cysts? it could be an ovarian cyst, normal cramping during pregnancy or an ectopic pregnancy (hopefully not) typically ectopics dont' start hurting this early in pregnancy, but anything is possible.. sometimes its just your uterus stretching since the little bean is snuggling in for the long nine months ahead... Have you had your beta serum pregnancy levels checked??
Avatar f tn 7, 2009 so I titled mine the same. ~ One person in the old posts said they were told they had ovarian cysts that had burst, which is what all of the water is. Makes sense because I am 40, and had been diagnosed with ovarian cysts at 20, had to go to the hospital I was in so much pain, but have never had trouble since - until yesterday. Although at the time, my doctor did tell me I would have the cysts in cycles with my period, always.

Avatar m tn m sorry you are in so much pain. It is common for women to have ovarian cysts (we get them every month when we ovulate, but they usually dissolve on their own). I'm not sure about a fibroid, but I have seen that many women post that they have one. You are very smart to ask to be referred to a gynecologist. Sometimes, our PCP don't understand exactly what we are going through. Here are a few questions I suggest you ask your gynecologist: 1. What kind of cyst do I have? 2.
Avatar m tn Each case has to be looked at separately. If your doctor says your risk is that high then having it removed sooner rather than later is the best thing for you. I know there have been quite a few other women that have come through here who have had cysts successfully removed during their pregnancy. I can't imagine how hard this must be for you now. Good luck and I hope all goes well.
Avatar f tn Any mom's have experiences with ovarian cysts during pregnancy? I haven't been diagnosed with an ultrasound yet but with my signs and symptoms I'm pretty sure I have one. I get stabbing pain in the same spot, near my right ovary a few times each day with certain movements and activities. 5 weeks tomorrow but I had the pain long before I was pregnant. From what I read they're fairly normal and insignificant?
Avatar n tn There is some fluid seen within the endocervical canal. My ovaries are normal in size but there are simple bilatral ovarian cysts measuring 1.7 x 1.7 x 1.4 cm and 0.8 x 1.1 x 0.8 cm with additional follicles noted within the left ovary. No free intrapelvic fluid noted. I would like to know my treatment options.
Avatar f tn For the past month or so when my husband and I have intercourse I have a pain in my lower left side, not the whole time just for a few minutes. I have the pain from time to time with just sitting or standing. Could it be a cyst? I've had cysts before but not during intercourse. Please help!
