t find any specific info on how/if ovarian cysts can hinder the ability to become pregnant. From my own experience, my first pregnancy detected a cyst on my left ovary. My OB said this was the ovary my egg attached too. Later in my pregnancy the cyst disappeared, this is very common. Six months ago I went for my annual pap smear, I also had an ultrasound done because I was TTC and I wanted to see if there were fibroids, scar tissue, etc.
Most of the women in my family have ovarian cysts and it doesnt mean you can't. I know my sister has them she has a 3 year and was trying for 2 years after her daughter and is now 6 month along with her second. It could make it a little harder but everyone is different. Some people have no problem, others it takes time. Good luck. I'm trying as well.
How long have you been trying? For most women, it can take at least a year to get pregnant, and thats without dealing with any cysts that may hinder that ability. Are you tracking your cycle to make sure you're trying at the right times of your cycle? If you've been trying for a long time and havent had any luck, I would make an appt to see your family doctor/gynecologist and see what is going on.
i read on a medical web page not long after finding out that i myself have a hemmhoragic cyst on my left ovary that fertility drugs can help to cause ovarian cysts because most ovarian cysts are caused by the eggs not making it all the way out of the ovary or something of that sort and they just kind of pile up inside of the ovary and form a cyst. however, i did read that most ovarian cysts go away sometime during ovulation.
Hello I've been married 2 1/2 years to my husband I am 21 he is 23 . I really would love to become pregnant ... But I have an issue.. Well we always have unprotected sex and I've been off of the pill for a year now.. But irregular periods run in the family and I'm so irregular sometimes go 2-5 months without a period. The longest has been 9 months .that makes it really hard to knw if I'm ovulating or not. But I've never been pregnant.

is she thinking that b/c she has cysts she's pregnant? that they caused her to get pregnant? or can she get pregnant with the cycsts? the other post she did made it sound like she thought the ovarian cycsts were a symptom of pregnancy or caused her to get pregnant. i've had ovarian cysts for god only knows how long and i don't think that ever crossed my mind.

I am 20 weeks pregnant and 39 years old. At my recent ultrasound they found a 20cm cyst on my ovary. Three weeks before I got pregnant I had an 8 cm cyst drained. Has anyone had this issue? I am concerned. I believe they saw septations inside the cyst (I saw one I believe). I swear I thought they were also checking blood flow to the ovaries. The tech of course doesn't tell you this when they are doing the scan...they wait for the doctor to come in with the news.

I had a huge cyst on my ovary in the beginning of my pregnancy they told me they were normal during pregnancy and that aren't harmful they actually feed the baby..
Today my doctor said i got Ovarian Cysts. Now it is really hard for me to be pregnant. Does Ovarian Cysts mean that i am pregnant? affective by Ovarian Cysts mean that i should be pregnant? My pregancy test was not so strong. like i tested 3 times. 1st and 3rd time it shows im not pregnant. but 2nd time it shows im pregnant. plz tell me what am i suppose to do? is that really mean that if i hav Ovarian Cysts i could be pregnant?
Hi there.. I'm pregnant with my first and 6 weeks along. Due to an irregular cycle my doctor sent me along for a dating scan yesterday. During the scan they found two cysts on my right ovary measuring around 5cm... she didnt seem too worried but my doctor has since called to ask me to come and see her regarding the scans.. I do get a bit of occasional pain on my right hand side from time to time but nothing too serious.
It is not normal not to get your periods regularly. I do not know what pill you take to get your period but most likely unless it is a fertility pill like clomid to induce ovulation, it will not help you get pregnant. I suggest that you see a reproductive endocrinology and infertility specialist to do a complete history and physical exam as well as blood tests and pelvic ultrasound to help determine why you are not getting your periods.
