I just felt that i needed to relace something that i had lost even though that might sound weird.
Avatar n tn Ovarian cysts are extremely common - so do not worry. However, they can also be extremely painful and can grow extremely large. Each month, when a woman ovulates, small follicles form on the outer part of the ovary. These follicles look like little marbles almost through an ultrasound. Now, during your period - these follicles are, keyword here 'supposed' to break free with the lining of your period but for some women, they do not.
Avatar n tn I hear that ovarian cysts have the same symptoms as pregnancy. Anyone have experience with them and can tell the difference?
Avatar n tn Many cysts do resolve themselves but the fact that you are having pain may mean they have not. Please have your doctor run another transvaginal ultrasound to check. Good luck with everything.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had ovarian cysts and had trouble concieving or had them and still got pregnant? I do, and ive been trying to get pregnant for almost a year and its really starting to feel like its never gonna happen...

Avatar f tn In January of 2009, i had emergency surgery for an ovarian cysts on my right ovary. Apparently the cyst was 5 inches and twisted around my ovary. After the surgery, i had no pain up until June of that year. I had many ultrasounds done that confirmed i had small cysts. In April of 2010, i had laproscopic surgery to have a look to see what was going on. The doctor told me after that my ovary had dropped down due to a cyst and that my right tube was blocked.
Avatar n tn I am 19 weeks pregnant and have been having some pain around my left ovary. They did a transvaginal u/s at 6 weeks and said I had 2 very small cysts on my left ovary. They mentioned a corpus luetum (sorry for the spelling) and that it would go away. I am 18 weeks and 5 days and had my anatomy u/s today - they checked my ovary again and the cysts were still there - they said the biggest was around 2 cm and then there was an even smaller one.
Avatar f tn I went back to my GP at the beginning of this week as i have been having pain when i need to urinate (instead of saying i need to go to the toilet, im say owwww i need to to the toilet) and i have been experiencing exteme bloating which is happening more and more often (with or without food) and can just happen anywhere (i was in tescos the other day paing for shopping and all of a sudden i got pain and my stomach blew up so i looked like i was 9 months pregnant) It stayed like that until this
Avatar f tn This new GYNO did a laparoscopy surgery to take biopsies to figure out what was causing so much pain. he noted I have multiple ovarian cysts measuring about 5.7. not sure what that exactly means.. but okay.. he noted that one fallopian tube is also severely damaged. and most likely has since birth. now present time Sept 2015 I have been put on Alysena low dose birth control to control excessive bleeding and cramps during my cycles. I have been on these pills for about 6 months.
Avatar f tn I had a large ovarian cyst. I felt bloated and not pain but pressure in my abdomen. I also had my period for 2 months straight before I could get in to see my doctor but read that thry can also make you skip periods too. I ended up having to have surgery because they were very large. Hopefully you can figure out what is up with you.
Avatar f tn m not going to give you my advice on that aspect of it but I am a pro when it comes to ovarian cysts, so I will try and shed some light on ovarian cysts for you.. at least the best i can. I myself have had 3 surgeries in the past 2 years regarding ovarian cysts. I have had well over 10 ovarian cysts, 6 of which were removed. Your cyst is very small, I wouldn't worry too much about the ovarian cyst.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with poly cystic ovarian syndrome a few years ago and it did take a few years for us to get pregnant. I took a drug called metformin to counter the syndrome and it helped a lot. Also with fertility drugs we got pregnant. Honestly with ttc it was all God, we prayed for so long and eventually we realized it was up to him when we would have a child no matter what we did, and he has blessed is I'm at 37 weeks! Good luck!
Avatar f tn Mostly they are symptomless But Ovarian cysts can, however, cause problems if they twist, bleed, or rupture. Most ovarian cysts will go away on their own. One of the most effective treatments for ovarian cysts is use of contraceptive pills or progesterone pills. It can also be treated surgically and this procedure is known as drilling. Other modes of treatment are laparoscopic surgery, laparotomy or surgery for complicated ovarian cysts.
Avatar f tn Good afternoon. I just stumbled across this site after googling ‘ovarian cysts‘. I wondered if anyone out there has ever been in my (worrying) situation. I am 27 years old, a mummy to a beautiful 2 year old and 12 weeks pregnant with my second baby. I had an emergency scan around 6 weeks into this pregnancy due to pain on my right side. My GP feared an ectopic pregnancy. To my relief baby was fine. However, an 8cm side was found on my right ovary with a daughter cyst inside.
